Moxie Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 A Christian sect holes up in a Cave waiting for the end of the world, yikes they have kids living in that cave. A Christian cult runs amok. Where do these nut jobs come from, and why would any sane person follow a leader that's barking mad. Note to self: Stock up on water just in case they are right. Snippet: MOSCOW (Reuters) - At least 30 members of a Russian doomsday cult have barricaded themselves in a remote cave to await the end of the world and are threatening to commit suicide if police intervene, officials and media said Thursday. "They have covered the entrance and refuse to come out and are threatening to blow themselves up," an official in the local prosecutor's office told Reuters by telephone. "They threaten to detonate a gas tank and blow themselves up." The cult members, who include 29 adults and four children, are hidden inside a snow-covered hillside in the Penza region of central Russia. A Penza police spokeswoman said they had moved into the dug-out on November 7. "No one wants to take on the responsibility of provoking them ... because our information is that there are children among them," said the official. They are thought to have taken food and fuel supplies in with them and Russian television pictures from the scene showed smoke or steam coming out of a The rest of the story: http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews....C1-ArticlePage2 Quote Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy
kuzadd Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 wow they have fanatic christians in Russia to? Amazing hagee better get over there and tell them Jesus is not the messiah. Quote Insults are the ammunition of the unintelligent - do not use them. It is okay to criticize a policy, decision, action or comment. Such criticism is part of healthy debate. It is not okay to criticize a person's character or directly insult them, regardless of their position or actions. Derogatory terms such as "loser", "idiot", etc are not permitted unless the context clearly implies that it is not serious. Rule of thumb: Play the ball, not the person (i.e. tackle the argument, not the person making it).

capricorn Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 I think Canada should send a delegation to bring support to the cave dwellers, headed by none other than Jack Layton. Those people are under siege and need protection. Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. Unfortunately, he never runs." Will Rogers

Men greasing their members with vaseline and sodomizing other men and calling it love... FYI, members of cult's are: 1) brainwashed, much like people who engage in deviant sexual behaviour, 2) not Christians, because Christians don't join cults. Sorry, but the Bible is quite clear about false prophets, and people who spread false teachings about Christ. I know you're just mad at Christians because they actually have a sense of right and wrong and view homosexuality as a sin. But you need to learn that just because someone claims to be Christian while doing sinful things does not make them a Christian. I you, however, accept that to be fact, and make malicious comments about Christ, God, and true Christians, then you are only doing yourself harm. The only thing that bothers me about it is what you are doing to yourself and others who are too ignorant to know what the truth is. Quote

Nut jobs come in all shapes, sizes and religions....and for a FACT! the majority of people who join cults ARE Christians. They have been conditioned by the Christian Church to do as they are told - to not question or disobey - and it is this trait that makes them easy targets for all kinds of abuses. It is easy for any non-nut job to see that the indoctrination into the Church not only opens the door to sexual abuse by ministers and priests, as well and outstanding members in the Church but it makes them extremely gullible for charismatic evangelists who preach they are the next evolution of spiritual enlightenment. The Christian Church is not only prone to deviant sexual behaviors, but is laden with violent thinking, having arisen from the violent murder of their leader, and participating in ritualized cannibalism in His remembrance. Same old stuff that comes across as cutting edge is dull as a butter knife used for a screw driver and a paint srapper. Don't they know the end of the world has come and gone and now most are walking dead symbolically speaking. What's that smell? Hope the dead get around to burying the dead. Sexual oppression via the abuse of youth by clergy is a stange occultish pagan thing that has been going on for centuries. Kind of a soul sucking ritual to ensure that males as they mature will lack all leadership qualities needed to sire children - to husband a wife - or to enter religious or political life. It's about the hording of power and the destruction of familiar culture and family lines. Same old same old - rape has always been used to make emotional recks of woman and children and to distress the elder male..it's not about the promise of salvation and freedom and power but the opposite - seems most so-called churches are and never have been seperated from state - they are the same and use exactly the same methods of animal husbandry and emotional abuse and control of the populace...shameful cult.. - and yes - unless it is the pure form of ancient Christianity - which was never meant to be a religion but to generate a higher mindedness..and an adherance to realty (truth)..then what we have now is a huge caldron of cults - adulterated, posionous and by design made to dis-empower - Christ would be spitting mad and would be whipping the crap out of the abusers of his name who make dupe of the world and actually practice anti-christism. God is good and the embracing of the truth generates prosperity and life - all that other stuff is evil - yep! God is goodness and religion the human political construct is pure nasty debasing evil!
