Of course, if it is not in your perspective it must be false news.

I read international news and they seem to have similar numbers

For sure civilians die but...when there are so many untrained and non combatants dying, something is off.

Well Hamas has already come out and said they include hamas fighters in their numbers...remember the first rocket attack on the hospital, that turned out to be a Hamas rocket, they reported 500 women and children were killed, blamed it on Israel, a massive investigation done by UN, US government  determined that it was indeed a hamas rocket and 23 people were injured not killed...there are many more reports that have been questioned, but are not verified...

Most media outlets are reporting hamas numbers does that make them right...no none of them have been verified...and the UNHCR are on the ground...but have gone silent.

If you think something is off compare it to other major urban conflicts...i think you'll find the numbers are very light, considering everything Israel does before launching a attack, or bomb strike...dropping leaflets, cell phone alerts, loud speakers...plus TV, radio alerts the only thing they have not done is knock on their doors and move them...

Yes, I would tell anyone living in a conflict zone who feel threatened that they should get out if they can. In fact thousands. of Jews fled Israel after Oct. 7.

IDK how about Canada, USA, UK, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Mexico...shall I continue?

One of the more interesting turns after Oct.7 was the way conservatives have embraced the concepts like "hate speech" and "safe spaces"n after years of mocking them when they were a lefty thing.

Advice that would include leaving everything you own basically, except what you could stick in a suitcase hoping everything you leave behind will still be there when you get back...not to mention unless you have been approved as a refugee where are you going to stay....what is your source of income, your advice is easy to say but difficult to accomplish...one could also tell that to the palestinians as well, but that would be wrong some way right...

You mention lots of countries but most of them are having problems with "professional protestors", harassment, and sometimes violence including our nation Canada...which brings this question why is it we offer everyone that comes to Canada safety to be reasonable free from harassment or violence...and yet when it comes to Canadian jews we look the other way....

Correct me if i'm wrong but these are laws right, being a lefty or righty is a moot point,  laws must be obeyed by everyone...it does not matter if you embrace them or not...unless they protect everyone except jews...Thats not the case is it?

Guilty of making attempts to address climate change
Guilty of Courting investment in the auto sector
    Guilty of Pharmacare, dental care
Guilty of Moving tax burdens to the wealthy
    Guilty of legalizing weed
Guilty of rebates on EVs and energy conservations
Guilty of tax credits for volunteer firefighters, seniors home renos
    Guilty of Covid income stabilization
Guilty of boosting immigration tostill  build the country and address worker shortages

Yeah they have much guilt. Could've spent no money on any of those and paid down the deficit as if that would solve any of the problems.

-Failing to make any climate change targets, even when it was them that set those targets....

    - recent media stories are telling a much different story, Canadians are not as interested in buying EV's, how many billions were dumped into this project, 30-40 billion...

    - Pharma and dental care are not available to all Canadians, but rather a select group , nice try though...and what was the price tag again...15 to 20 bil....

    -   tax burdens , what was it they say it would gain 10 bil, and other experts say it will drive our economy down, along with investments

    - legalizing weed....WOW, thats a big one, it's going to turn around all our problems

    - the others are to small to even care about...

-yes covid income was a great thing there was billions that claimed that did not qualify and those payments were forgiven...but yes i will say for the most part it needed to be done, just wish they could account for all the 700 bil spent in that time frame.

    - immigration and refugee levels it was a good plan but they forgot we did not include any funding for infrastructure in that time to reflect all the new people, which is why we have hotels filled with people, some are homeless, others are leaving...you can't do a half ass job, and call it a winner.

Or they could have lived within their means, covid does not explain the other 5 budgets deficits' which could have been balanced....Noooo sir we need those social programs that only help a small portion of the country...

How in any way is killing 30000 women and children in hospitals schools and refugee camps a means of ....anything but self righteousness?

Yes, Oct 7 was an act of war but....5 months of retaliation upon a now defenceless population is what???

Already explained to you the Hamas count is false news...And your the last person i would expect to explain that  war sucks, and civilians ALWAYS pay the highest price. It is unavoidable.... one can not assault a city filled with people and not expect any civilians to die...

Hamas is still very engaged in ground combat, it is their choice to fight amongst the people of palestine, Israel has already told the globe this will stop when Hamas is destroyed...5 months later they are still fighting, and still a threat to Israel ...not sure how Hamas gets a free pass and Israel is the bad guy here.

The mighty Israeli  military with all their people and specialists and Mossad and equipment cannot find the leaders and just take care of them. Instead they need to bomb, raid and kill 30000 men, women and children in hospitals, schools and refugee camps and blockade any food, medical equipment and support to the citizens.

Pretty f'd up and you wonder why Palestinians are gaining support from all over the world??

your seeing what you want to see and not the whole picture, there has not been 30,000 civilians killed. included in those numbers are the more than 12,000 HAMAS fighters killed... most people are gullible to think that Hamas is not running it's own PR campaign...and they are playing on your heart strings to build support for their cause...every wonder why almost every news report announces most of the people killed in these bombing are children...it is done on purpose...

Hospitals , schools, and refugee camps are valid military targets if the enemy is using them to fight from...Hamas was operating from all the hospitals, they know the conventions better than we do...and use that knowledge to their benefit. Food and medicine , who do you really think this aid is going to...from what the media has broadcasted on TV there is not many palestinians that look like they are starving, just the other day they announces that bakers all across the city have opened up....hungry maybe but starving out of the question...lets not forget that Hamas does not care about any palestinian, that much is fact...

Israel does not control all of the access points into gaza, Egypt owns one,why are they not pushing aid through...

Did you miss the fact that historically Jews have earned much of the animosity directed against them?

Please educate us what have the Jews done historically to deserve the this animosity you declare...must have been epic, i mean Germany was responsible for the deaths of 60 million in one war alone ...wiping out a full 1/3 of all jews globally...and yet today germany is a valued defense partner...lets not for get Russia...because they are sweet hearts as well...

I am telling you one last time. Palestinians have as much right to protest and stand for their territory as Israel.

If they nuke the entire region, it would not upset me. The region and it's 2 peoples have been at it for thousands of years and it will not stop until someone stops them both

    Done.

How in any way is the killing of women and children a means of protest...it was an act of war, by any terms...

Nobody is persecuted by virtually every peoples on the planet for no reason, particularly not for that long. Hate is exhausting and can not be maintained without an injection of fresh reasons. Israel's current response to the Hamas attack not only reignited that disgust, hatred but has created another generation of  anti-Semites.

Let me guess Israel should have turned the other cheek...I'm curious how would you have responded to this attack or any of the millions of others that palestine has orchestrated...

It is to bad you and people that think like you do , don't hold the rest of the globe to the same standards...it is much more convenient to pick out one group of people and turn your hate towards them...

When your fighting for your right to exist, to live in somewhat peace...do you really think they care how many anti semites they create, when as you already stated it is a already global thing...

Whatever Israel has done to you or your family must have been terrible that you would openly pick a terrorist state over one that was created because of global persecution...How much more do they have to suffer before they earn your approval...

That's weird because Zionists will frequently argue that the ethnostate is necessary to assure the safety of Jews. Personally, if I lived in such a place I would simply move to one of the dozens of other countries where this would not be a problem.

Thats a bullshit answer...Is that what we should tell the Ukrainians,Syrians, Iraqis, yemen, any other country that has seen conflict...Just move to where it is safer...what if we had that situation in Canada, could you just up and leave, is there no attachment to the place, the nation...

One of the reasons that Israel was created was because most other countries were kicking them out in mass... So where do they move where they are not prosecuted by governments, lobby groups, protest groups, or harassed by others who don't like their faith...

When has it become normal to support terrorist behavior, to openly call for the destruction of a state or nation...we have laws for all of that and yet they are being suppressed or dismissed...

You mean of doing the only right things that happened, rather than being right and proposing wrong ones all the time. What've they done lately? Opposing  attending the UN Plastic conference, whining how they'll bring back plastic straws. Saying TMX is a good 'start', we need more pipelines....

Look the things that the Liberals and NDP are a matter of historical record, it is them who are in charge, what the conservatives say or do is no more than background noise when it comes to running the country...

Lets focus on the damage that Liberals and NDP have done to this country, managed to spend historical record high debt levels, in all 8 of their years of power, every department is been run into the ground and needs fixing, Immigration levels are out of this universe, the list just goes on forever....And your NDP is as guilty as justin is, for allowing it to get this far...

Now if you happy with all that...then your whats wrong with this country, you and every voter that voted for this coalition of wingnuts........Things are not suppose to be this bad...Someone is going to have to fix it, and seeing how the Liberals and NDP broke most of it...that only leaves Conservative party...I know not much of a choice but it is all thats left....as the other parties are made up of whack a doodles and really should be relegated to the back closet... But you go ahead and vote for more damaged departments, huge spending with little to no results...watch our dollar shrink, and our debt levels sky rocket, and our international reputation tanked...because your a patriot, you love your country...

Of course not, but I sure do expect a much better effort. Not a minimal effort followed by meaningless apologies.
Like 7 months for the supposedly world class army to clear Hamas from an area the size of a postage stamp?
I'm no anti-semite but Hamas still is holding hostages and deserves what they get. And protesters here that celebrate Oct 7 should be locked up for what are pretty clear hate crimes.

You say of course not but you don't know the restraint involved in trying to the wear contained to terrorist and not civilians...many experts have said this conflict has shown that many objectives are not being taken do to the amount of civilians involved in the area...

History is full of examples of world class armies being stalled in urban warfare...not sure what your point is, but i'm sure they would appreciate any arm chair quater backing but someone who voted for the NDP...i mean it just shows a whole line of bad decisions made by you....

Hope all you want. he is doing exactly what his voters want him to. As a politician not in a majority position he can bite his tongue supporting Justin and get some NDP policies implemented or at best never get any at all and probably see existing one cut or rolled back.
Now who would you say knows more about actual politics? You or Singh?

At best he as guilty as the liberals for everything that is wrong with this country...so he's not that smart...and as far as his service to the liberals as you said it will be all for naught once the conservative start cutting to pay down this huge debt left by both parties....what a waste of air both of them have been...History will judge him, and it is not going to be good...

No, no Eyeball they're the chosen people. Dropping bombs on aid convoys is righteous and holy, you must be an antisemite if you question the actions of Israel's govt.
Only the questioning of Russia and China is acceptable.

Yes the killing of some aid workers is not a good thing, but accidents happen all the time in conflicts, one can not expect things to be as sterile as you'd like them to be in combat, atleast not as it is like in the movies....It is easier for you to condemn them than try and understand the plight they are in...but you have made up your mind about this whole issue long ago...

Canada, indeed the world is not "sliding" into antisemitism, it's always been there. What no one wants to address is that historically Jews have earned much of the animosity aimed at them. Historically Jews have always been amongst the better educated peoples. This resulted in Jews often holding positions of substantial influence in the earliest kingdoms. Jews were often that kingdoms exchequer and understandably the masses of poor people had little sympathy for tax collectors. Jewish intellectuals, were and are still often the harbingers of social change. Never popular with the ruling elite or masses when social change erupts into violence and chaos. Jewish banking houses financed many of the armies that ravaged Europe for centuries. It was the Dutch Jews who played a large part in financing the slave trade.

Then there's the Jewish attitude. Jews are the only people who can bring a litany of woes to an everyday conversation and the continual accusatory self pity party gets very tiring. There self bestowed title of "Gods chosen people" too closely parallels the "master race" for many peoples and it too, often expresses itself in acts of condescending arrogance and cruelty. The Jews wailing of "two thousand years of persecution" doesn't seem to have taught them any compassion given current events.

Jews, as individuals, are often loving, gregarious and generous. As a people not so much.

Have you been to Israel or gaza or west bank...just trying to think where you developed your dislike for the jewish people...

Your whole post seems to be based on historical evidence, that points to a few rather than the masses...like their educational background, their position in life, you seem to base all of it on a few individuals,  but it does not fit in with the entire race...the Germans did not go after just the smart ones, or the bankers , or whatever you suggested, but rather the entire race...as your doing right here...

I think the problem here can not be boiled down to some simplistic historical references, but rather twisted in hatred that goes back centuries...

Perhaps you can point out a nation that has not stood up and used violence to respond to a massacre of its own people...I'd be interested in why you think that Israel should have shown mercy to terrorists that commited the march attacks...Why should they show the people of palestine mercy to a people that want nothing but the destruction of the state of Israel...

Of all the people from around the globe, your standing up for the Palestinian people who are governed by a terrorist group, to which the majority of palestinians voted in...your sense of character needs some work...in my humble opinion,

I am groot has a point here, Israelis are protesting the israelis government over not getting back the hostages....Israelis people are not concerned about the palestinian people as some have suggested ...they want their family members back...They think the government's first priority should have been hostages...where do you think you would put your priorities..,.hostages or eliminating terrorist...

But on the government side they want to ensure that their people are not subjected to this Oct attack ever again.. for them wiping out these terrorist are the prime objective...it is an objective that outweighs the lives of the current hostages, which have not been confirmed alive or dead...but in limbo...

Leaders of all three major parties who stand a chance to win the next election are male. There has been 23 Prime Ministers in Canada's history all of them male with the exception of Kim Campbell who served for a short time (and really screwed up but that had nothing to do with her gender).Half of Canada's population is female and this statistics is unfortunate and unacceptable in an advanced country such as Canada. This is not a backward Islamic country where women cannot be elected or served in high positions.

It seems things are not going well in Canada in this century. We need a female Prime Minister.

    Empowered Women is empowered world.

Horseshit...Nothing in this country restricts women from running for office or any other position.... we do not need a women in charge just because we have had only one that was semi-capable, or we tried everything else, lets balance the wall charts and put a women in there.

Wall charts and people who rely on them should not be anywhere near the PM office or any place of importance really............what we need is "someone" that has above average leadership ability, above average decision making skills, a person that can unite the country under one flag, that puts the interest of the country first, and not some lobby group someone not afraid to make the right choices, and not afraid to crush skulls to do so...and a shit tonne of common sense would be nice....no where does having a penis or vagina become a qualifying factor.

In today's world where anyone can identify as a fire truck, or cat, or a one legged gay bi sexual pirate who has a pet ape for a boyfriend are we really worried about how a judge identified one women...should we be shocked at this point....not really...

  17. I feel the same way about Justin, the way he looks and how he talks...my wife will get pissed off becasue when he comes on the news station i turn off the TV...There are a million people right now that are saying the same stuff....including some of the left wing media in the states...they all can't be wrong...

I'm hoping that all those who voted for the NDP will see the light. and judge their leader for who he is...Then again this was never what is best for the country, or Canadians, this has always been about propping up a failed liberal government regardless of the cost...

It had nothing to do about strengthening our country, or fixing what was wrong with it. Thats a legacy to be proud of propping up a failed government that really did not accomplish all that much, and the NDP accomplished even less.... hope that wasted vote was worth it...But i'm sure your the kind of guy that learns from his mistakes and will once again vote NDP...

  20. I would bet my next pay check the NDP or liberals lite will back this budget, so there wont be an election this fall...NDP are playing the field right now seeing how it fairs amongst the people but like i predict the election is not until 2025....

I think the lack of support is because tit is no longer front page news.

I also think that in todays political climate, Canada (or should I say liberals) cannot give anymore without the public blowing up.

We also admonished the government for giving "old" stock to Ukraine.

Sadly, Russia taking control is no longer cared about.

I believe with full support of NATO and if the NATO countries would have accepted Ukraine's applications, things would be different but...

I see it everyday, perhaps most people are just glossing over those stories...I've said it a million times unless it is hockey , beer, or holidays, or the government giving out free money Most Canadians are not interested...they did not give a shit about our own troops in Afghanistan after the first 5 years...so really it's not surprising...

The public blowing up...they are not interested in buying new stuff maybe...but giving away the old stuff, why should they care they really are not interested in our military to start with...I would think they would be eager to get rid of all of it...

Maybe it is the only way we will get new stuff...for those that do care...

I wonder how concerned they will get when this grows into something else, or higher Investment (GDP %) are going to be demanded by NATO as a whole.
