When considered that Rogers / Sun Media, biased conservative to extreme, own and control over 60% of the publishing in Canada, they set the agenda. They also need to sell the product. Same with reporters and journalists. Controversy sells, truth is secondary.

Even if Northern Gateway is approved, not a drop of oilsands oil will be delivered through it, it may not even be built. In order to approve the Pipeline they first need to lift the moratorium on tankers. If that be done then drilling will begin off the Haida Guai which is the real interest for oil producers. Does any country really want oilsands bitumen? Costs of refining are way too high. Alberta can no longer afford to subsidize the oilsands operations, the bbl price has to increase. Who can afford it? The small amount being shipped south by rail now is so heavily subsidized Alberta is losing money selling it.

PM Harper is stuck in a morass of political mistakes, lies and cover ups. He is the child who hides his head under the covers pretending the boogeymen will all go away. Sorry Stevie, the deficit is still here. The Duffy, Wallin scandals are still here. Bad economic policies are still here. Spending lies are still here. An energy policy still awaits. The F-35 saga still awaits forensic scrutiny. Your back-bench is still agitating. Tom Mulcair is still waiting with a long list of questions. According to Angus Reid Forum, 42% of Canadians say PM Harper is doing a good job. Does that mean 42% of Canadians don’t mind un-accountable liars and people who go back on their word? If politicians can get away with this kind of political BS, what can Canada’s future be?
