  1. I can hardly believe these Republicans. Why must the discourse always seem to be dragged to this sort of level. I don't think there is any question that obeisity is a huge and growing issue in the US (North America actually) and this is the sort of response we get from the right? Political points at any cost? Comments from the rights health posterboy
  2. Yes! Though I'm in favour of Shrute bucks.
  3. El Toro is el stupido. Thankfully... this will never catch on.
  4. I didn't see a reason given by the MI Hosp... Did I just miss it?
  5. Absolutely, I'M not unreasonable in the least. If an honest mistake is made and it is corrected, all is good. Everyone is entitled to make mistakes.... In fact wasn't it you that said this earlier? So.... if you have proof that: "The CBC has a long history of excusing their false stories with nonsense about it being a "early version", and interestingly, makes a lot of "errors" when it comes to Israel and Palestine." I'd like to see it.
  6. Yup. What is false or misleading about that? The issue is broadcasting false or misleading news, in this case an error was made and a retraction/correction was made. If they hadn't made the correction, I would have agreed with you. Now you are really reaching. btw, did Saipan thank you for trying to run with this? It's a good thing cause it wasn't looking good for him at all.
  7. and why not, none of us do!
  8. I'll believe it when I see it. You and a few others have accused the CBC of misleading or false news, Saipan claims it happens all the time. I've yet to see one shred of proof that they have. If you go back a few replys you'll see where Saipan asked me for proof about Fox News broadcasting, I provided it easily with a quick search. You would think that it would be as simple for anyone to come up with proof on the CBC news, wouldn't you? Especially when the claims are made that the CBC news are rife with them... I'm going to go ahead and assume you have, and weren't able to find anything, how embarrassing for you all. If there is proof, please provide it. If not, stop claiming that CBC broadcasts false or misleading news.
  9. LOL. Yes. I'm squirming. So anyway, any proof of the CBC broadcasting false or misleading news?
  10. Again... we're talking News. Haven't you been spanked on this enough yet?
  11. Didn't claim they were. The question asked was have they lied. And the answer is yes.
  12. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. These are all from the "News" programs, not the O'Reillys or Becks etc.. If I included those "entertainment" shows I would be posting links to misleading or false broadcasting ad nauseum.
  13. Actually I haven't. Statements have been made accusing the CBC of broadcasting false or misleading news, No one, including yourself, has been able to point to them doing this. The goal posts are firmly planted.
  14. No, it hasn't. You pointed towards a case where an investigative documentary show was investigated and fined for libel. You also pointed towards a group that took umbrage with something Mansbridge said, yet no final outcome. Please point me towards a decision that found that the CBC broadcast false or misleading news.
  15. I'm not protecting the CBC at all, I'm just proving (yes, I am.) that they do not broadcast false or misleading news. That the Booster Club here that support changes to the rules governing truth in broadcasting news so that they can legitimize their propoganda via SunTV is really sad, and to denigrate the CBC untruthfully is wrong. I have yet to see any proof that the CBC has ever done anything like they are being accused of. Sadly, the dimmer of our members buy in to this belief wholeheartedly and continue it's spread. So I will ask again, can somebody provide some proof that the CBC broadcasts false or misleading news?
  16. So you admit it wasn't "news" to begin with, but rather an entertainment show. Thank you.
  17. Please learn how to argue. If you make a claim, it is up to YOU to back it up, not for us to. Otherwise we just get lots of posts like yours, saying something silly with no facts to back your argument.
  18. Part. Of. Her. Job.
  19. Sadly, Oshawa is a prime example of the vote split between the NDP and the Liberals. Last election: Results I've sat down with both Drs Godfrey (and he is a very intelligent man) and Carrie, him not so much. Knows how to nod though and I get a ton of letters and pamphlets from him. Having said all that, I actually voted for Shields last go, I thought enough Liberals would to stop Carrie
  20. and lets not forget this little tidbit.... Arm twisting and threats I wonder what capabilities that the F35 alone has that no other model has anyway, perhaps someone could point them out for me?
  21. One thousand nine hundred and seventy posts Saipan, and not one fact right. lots of crap on the gun registry though. Please, take a break.
