I thought the GG has to ask the leader of the official opposition in the previous Parliament to try and form the government. If this is not in the constitution in words it will be in the unwritten part of the constitution.

Does anyone else find it surprising that Belinda recieved 29% of a high school vote. Maybe the conservative learning curve is speeding up in the next generation.

When a woman chooses to have sex is this not also a choice to have a child. With the act of procreation come's a finite probability of the woman becoming pregnant. And pregnancy is essentially the womans responsability and if any woman chooses to end her pregnancy I wish she would do this without the help of my tax dollars because I want nothing to do with preventing the birth of a child. Everyone who posts on these boards was at one point a fetus in their mothers womb. And I for one am glad that my mother chose not to abort me.

Churchill was once dismissed as a warmonger during the 1930's. Now I am not suggesting that Bush is anywhere near the quality of a leader that Churchill was, this is just not the case. However the jury is still out on the end results of Bush's policies.

In 1993 the PC's had 18% of the vote and ended up with 2 seat. Now the NDP will do better than this but I do not believe that they will get more than 25 seats.

Is there any opinion on whether or not the conservatives will be able to gain support in Quebec on the back of a good Harper preformance in the French debate.

The SES conducted polls only poll about 600 people nation wide. So one would expect about 80 people from B.C. to reply to any given poll making the provincial numbers not that reliable.
