The West is 'in'. It's Alberta that leaves itself in the cold because they're so unwilling to consider voting for anybody else, that everybody takes them for granted, and ignores them.

Cons lost. Fair and Square. Cons went negative first. Libs showed that they were better at going negative. Cons started to cozy up to the Bloc. Canadians didn't like it. 2/3 of Canadians looked at Harper and his brand of social conservatism and replied, "no". Get over it. (PS. Alberta doesn't speak for the entire West.) -

It's posturing I think. But Ralph is just an arrogant sorta guy. Poor at political mathematics. The majority has spoken. Go home Harper. You lost. Resign. -

A conjecture about the polls.

I even scare myself. Maybe I should. I know where the Harper-lovers are. Working on insults to hurl at the 66 percent of Canadians who screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" at Harper. It's really pathetic that Harper couldn't win, even when the Liberals defeated themselves. I mean, if they can't win when the Libs are this far down....being vote splitted everywhere, competing in every region....I mean...lol. What a GONG SHOW. -

It spells a great government. Canadians want it to last for awhile. And next time...the election should be held WHILE the Cons are replacing their leader. Unless of course, he decides to cling on. -

I'm happy the anti-Copps Gettymanderers, Valerie and Keys, got spanked. So yes. I'm happy that Harper's henchmen have been pwned!!!!! It's great. So yes, the liberals got slapped, which I'm thrilled about. The conservative Pseudo-Liberals in Ontario got pwned. And what we got now is a true checked power system. I think it's great. So Canada wins. And now Klein gets spanked too. Woohoo! -

Canadians chose to put the crooks back in...with a police force to really hold them accountable. They didn't want what the Cons were selling. Are you saying that Canadians are WRONG? I'm proud of them. To retain human rights and to shun the war-mongerers. It's terrific! -

Eh, the polls were right. Canadians wanted Change. But they didn't want the kind of change that Harper et al were selling. It's clearly a left leaning coalition, that's held honest. Canadians are BRILLIANT, in spite of what Hearn says! Go Canada! -

They're almost there. -
2/3, a SUPERMAJORITY, SAY NO!!!! To Harper and social conservatives! And now we have a government that will be held honest, in check, whithout radical change to the constitution or human rights.

2 out of 3 Canadians REJECT the Conservatives. Harper = PWNED! Hopefully he'll get punted and next time we'll have a REAL election. It feels sooooo good. LIBERAL MINORITY GOVERNMENT!!! (Just Declared!) Which is great! It's enough to keep the Libs in Check, and keep our human rights from being trounced upon. -

Cons arn't so hot right now. Let's see how it happens going forward. NDP on strong. -
Cons don't seem to have any humility. Nobody wants to talk about the fact that the Cons are down 11 percent in Atlantic Canada. But I'm sure some Con "strategist" will open up his gullet to find something ignorant to say.

Right Wing--Centrist. Check out their platform.

Harper: Child Porn. Not apologizing. He lost the election. Moreover, he's so radical, no other party would WANT to work with him.

Did anybody hear what Hearn said on CBC? Something to the effect: If the rest of Canada has any sense, we'll have a blue government. WTF The Canadian voter is always right. If there isn't a Blue government, does that mean Canadians don't have any sense. Jeebus. Look at the arrogance already!?!?!?!?!

Why was Randy White missing?
takeanumber replied to maplesyrup's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No. It's true. The only thing more disgusting than Martin's behaviour, and Layton's disrespect has been Harper's flip flop on his position on Iraq. Canadians should also consider the wonderful things that Foreign Minister Stockwell Day will have in store for us. Well, wait, there is one thing more disgusting. To proclaim that you're more democratic than other parties, then to gag your own MP's from speaking out on social issues.
