An event, for Badiou, is a human action that remains true to the original intent of a revolution. http://ndpr.nd.edu/review.cfm?id=12406 -
1491, or, Was Pre-European "White Man" America Really

Race is very relevant but race as battle or competition. Ships powerful enough to cross the Atlantic were the result of a war escalation. European kingdoms were unlucky enough to have been caught in frenetic cycles of violence. In the 15th century, international commerce was made mainly for military alliances purposes. -

Justice is agreeing to follow a social contract in which its clauses have been established by us in some kind of original position to guarantee our impartiality (i.e. a situation in which we all ignore what will be our personal fate in history). -

At some point, after having compared cigarette, beer and marijuana, it is the accumulation of that sort of products that should be considered. -

As I said higher, the lockean proviso can do a lot to settle this point. -

Potlatch was the economic system of indigenous populations; many social scientists today are suggesting that reviving this institution is the best way to avoid a global capitalistic nightmare. -

Under the neo-cons., the White House was full of pseudo-Marxists, i.e. people who were certain that 9/11 would change radically the frame by which a conspiracy is being investigated. -

Here what seems to be your reasoning: pot is similar to beer and beer can be dangerous thus decriminalizing pot is a good action. -

Alain Badiou is a Frenchman who lives well in the US precisely because he has developed a theory where all real events are necessarily and deliberately explosive. -

The fact is that we are able to manipulate genes so that genetic differences can be either put to increase inequality or equality. -

Because reality is not necessarily what it ought to be, equality is a moral value that should be applied to genetic diversity. -

Read again what ToadBrother really wrote: "Race" as a genetic description is practically meaningless. For a geneticist, traditional views of race hold little explanatory power. For instance, the highest degree of genetic diversity in human populations is in sub-Saharan Africa. Compared to that, just about everyone else can pretty much be lumped into one big category, that is "non-Sub-Saharan African". The idea that people of a certain skin color have somehow lower IQs on average, when, in fact, those people come from populations far more genetically diverse than, say, anything you'd find between a European and a New World Indian is lunacy. The Victorian racial model failed because it did not explain actual molecular and phenotypic observations. Genes are not static, nor do they stay within any group, unless that group is completely cut off from the rest of the world (and the only time that that has happened for any substantial period was the Tasmanian Aborigines, cut off from Australia around 10,000 years ago by rising sea levels). It's true that different populations will have different percentages of certain genes, but trying to map individual genes to major and complex properties like "IQ" or "eye sight" is lunacy. What your espousing was the last attempt to uphold failed racial theories by incorporating overly simplified genetic models. It was rejected by the scientific community many years ago simply because it holds no explanatory power. If there is some mapping between genes and semi-arbitrary testing like IQ, it's considerably more complex than "Eurasians are smarter than Africans", which, as I point out, is a pretty questionable statement anyways, considering, as I said, that the highest degree of genetic dissimilarity between populations is in Africa. The reality is that humans, even the most diverse groups in Sub-Saharan Africa, are far more closely related than even some neighboring wild chimp populations. Just as importantly, the intelligence tests so often used to "prove" things like the Bell Curve are socio-economically and culturally biased that it's difficult to say whether they represent any kind of reality at all.
