"right To Work" Laws In Canada
MapleLeafMerc replied to Hjalmar's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Psst- cgarrett- it's called SALARY! -
Racism is a term liberals use when threatened by the facts. Every society and political group known to historians has, by today's liberal standards, mistreated someone or some other group. Liberals are the only ones who believe they and their heroes never did.

Stronach At Dfait, Clement At Finance
MapleLeafMerc replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You asked "if Harper won, should he announce his cabinet in advance". Contrary to galahad's gutteral response, I will simply say that IMHO he should not announce such things in advance. That would give the Dawn of the Dead crowd way too much time to think up the usual slurs they apply to anyone who disagrees with them. -
Ah, excuse me, maple syrup. The voting starts at 10 am EST. Did you have a dream that it started at 2:30 PM? I will look forward to your comments tomorrow as a condemned man would the noose.

No, Jim, that's more commonly called capitulation. The war on drugs IS being lost, but has nothing to do with resisting blackmail from the s***piles we call al-Qaida. There always has been terrorism, Jim? No, not until liberals regularly began caving in to bullies.

Is Stephen Harper A Loose Canon?
MapleLeafMerc replied to maplesyrup's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
maplesyrup, quoting the Star is like quoting Marx. Could you give us a source we can take seriously? Thanks! -
Layton To Harper: Do Not Pull A Belinda
MapleLeafMerc replied to maplesyrup's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
BigGunner, you can't compare (by implying a trend up or down), the results of an election with a poll. Responding to a pollster is not the same as putting the x on a ballot. -
When Will The NDP Form Its First Government?
MapleLeafMerc replied to Pellaken's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
NDP federal government? God help Canada. I don't know how religion could possibly have any bearing on this discussion, except in Poli Sci class. And yes, Canada does have a conservative/liberal split. The NDP is simply the last echoes of "you don't get me, I'm part of the union" slowly fading away... -
Layton To Harper: Do Not Pull A Belinda
MapleLeafMerc replied to maplesyrup's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
maplesyrup, do you make it a habit to drag material from the NDP website over here? Makes you more of a clipping service than a debater. As was said earlier, Harper is after Paul Martin. Jack Layton is inconsequential.
