They have a right to protest like anyone else over the outright dumb olympics that has spent billions now on a two week party. The whole thing all seems like one big waste of money, and it needs to be revamped. I've talked to so many people who all say they're sick of hearing about the dumb olympics

Queen Charlotte Islands Renamed

Thanks for the good laugh that added the much-needed spike to my morning coffee -
I heard someone comment the other day that the "Baby-Boomers had it easy." I know, I'm being like the Hockey Night in Canada guy by calling things in hindsight, but I believe what this person meant was that the baby Boomers basically had everything handed to them (sort of). It was easy to buy a house and in some cases homes were practically freely, given to them. Now they can turn around and sell that house in a hot market and make millions. They had it easy: get by on a week with $10.00 of gas on a car they purchased for under 200 bucks. Buy a pop, bag a chips, and candy bar for a quarter. Big question, why are some of them so cranky now?

The first gangs were railroad gangs: chinese, FNS, and prisoners--yep that's right prison gangs. They needed to build the railroad for all the incoming boatpeople from Europe. After that they stayed in prison towns and produced off spring who generations later write into forums like this

Aborignial challenges - social, political, and legal?
Griz replied to rad79's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
With the exception of posters like Charter and maybe one or two others, I basically knew that the others "wouldn't even come close" to reasonably answering or debating this. And the clowns call the rest of their postings conversation when it's jibberish -
Yikes if "breadth of knowledge" was criteria? Sometimes I read these posts and roll my eyes. If forums like this were used to measure ignorance then the metre would burst through the clouds

So if you throw a spear, use a canoe and kayak, become an expert archery, be like Bear Grylls and Survivorman...are you a recreationalist, or are you an assimilated indian? -
Wow! Oleg you're starting to make sense in some of your posts--congrats--keep it up--there's hope for the world yet

So-called grown-up, Right-wing-do-badders will forever act like immature little kids! Case in point, the incident where NHL'er Scott Neidermayer went to give a stick to a young girl at a hockey game, the two grown-ups had a little kid fit and started fighting over the stick The rightwing element will never grow-up

The solution is simple--Ship the whole damn works of you land-squattin, welfare bum terrorists back to Europe

OKAY I take back the comment on the pet graves! But as for the people complaining about Butchart Gardens and Parks That was downright sickening to see! I mean really there are more pressing issues in this society than to watch a bunch of grown-ups whine about gardens and parks in a city

Great another brainwashed joker! Overrepresented in crime because the cops focus on FNS and whitey practically gets away with murder..."poverty alcoholism" etc etc and in the same breath you talk about "bleeding" every dollar? Give your head a shake! Where does all that money go if there is so much poverty? All the INAC bureacrats? The Chiefs family and the white lawyers and consultants bleeding the system. Same paralell system? Who wrote the laws? When did you actually see a FNS person have an impact on the constitution? Elijah Harper in the mid 1980s. Before that it was all White and I'II ask again--why are there idiots in our society who give indians shit over laws written by whiteman? Parallel system? If the indians have it so great on reserves then why don't all you idiots in power just make everything like a reserve? That's probably a bit too hard for you to comprehend. "Let them into our country?" "Them!" Holy crap give your head a shake and maybe some brainwashed gray-matter will jingle out. "Them!" Holy smokes are you that arrogant? -

I dare you to rebut them! I bet you can't even come close! -
I was watching the 6 o'clock news yesterday and they showed 2 stories from the Lower Mainland of BC region. One was about cutbacks to parks in the city and Butchart gardens. Another was about a pet cemetary! There were actually idiots on TV whining about these so-called issues. Do they realize how foolish they looked? I just had to roll my eyes! I mean what a bunch of morons as there are more pressing issues in this world.

Griz replied to rad79's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I dare you try and rebut the points I made. They are all true and as I said that was just a start. There is so much more but I am betting that you can't even start to answer back because it is all true -

Here are some of my points: *For starters don't listen to a majority of posters in forums like this because in general they haven't got a clue *Aboriginals are practically legislated from birth until death in large part by the Indian Act/BNA Act (now Canadian Constitution that was written by non-aboriginals. A few weeks ago some poster on here were whining about a law against them for smoking cigarettes What a moron *Aboriginals face a deluge of crap through propaganda that is often negative *The same propaganda somehow convinces the general public to believe that they've done aboriginal people one great big favour since they arrived in the boats from Europe *The same propaganda also leads the general public to believe that treaties roadblocks etc are all wrong when in reality in the very legal sense both levels of governments are squatters and the real law-breakers *Before you go into shock--it is simple--the earliest laws stated that treaties had to be signed unless the Europeans defeat in war, or sign a treaty--non of which has happened *In general there are racist and discriminatory actions from many non-aboriginals at the individual and institutional levels right throughout society. Sadly this is based on an education system that has created a great deal of ignorance that include politicians etc. *I can go on and on but this is a start -
Wow you're a classic example of how the education system has failed you miserably. I haven't checked out this booklet yet, but my guess is that it's like all others--propaganda crap
-
Wow another person that actually makes sense...has smallc and charter welcomed you? Or thanked you...

What will you do when they take away all your drunk-driving rights? How will this affect your recreational life at the hockey rink, baseball diamond, or the local golf courses? My heart bleeds for all you poor so-in-sos

And we'll leave out that nasty act that just occurred in Quebec with that woman and her 3 kids; That nut case in Merrit and a few years ago the other nutcase in Calfiornia with the Peterson case; we'll leave out "dollar signs bugging out of our eyeballs" and general cranky fartness! We'll leave out the plastic phoniness; Oh and one thing indians won't lose is their nice long hair that makes your cranky bald-headed arse so miserable
