  1. If you don't understand what the CMHC transfer today is, and that it doesn't cost a cent, and that it's not a bailout, I feel sorry for you. Just a little, though.
  2. They are asking about which attack? The puffin? Have you caught your tail yet? Are you confused? Do I need to re-phrase the question? Should we do a re-take?
  3. Really? So you think Harper and the web designer had a meeting on this one? Please. In any event, I thought we were talking about Dion's inability to answer a very simple question 4 times and the response thereto. Guess I was wrong.
  4. How has Harper gone negative here? Please explain. He simply stated what is obvioius. This ditherer can't answer a question when postd FOUR times. How do you expect this fool to run a country?
  5. Yet Stephane and his cronies sure like to attack, don't they? This is a big boy's game. Celine's obviously, painfully, not up to the task. Do we really need to do a rundown of the LPC's smear tactics from the last several elections, including this one?
  6. Need a tissue?
  7. Yep. Well looky here, capitulation? Market bottom? And yet you're still being vague and evsive. zzzzzz... So, RIM's shares are down which means it's now failed? That it will be bought out and eliminated? You're the one who took the baseless leap of faith, not me.
  8. Yeah, I'm not sure why he went on CBC this mornng. He was even more flustered.
  9. Not to mention, these meetings and discussions are ongoing on a daily basis, as everyone knows.
  10. Of course I have. But not when I've been bashing someone else on the exact same point for a week and was asked the same, basic question four times.
  11. Again, where did anyone attack Ontario? The point was clear: High taxes make a region unattractive to business. Ontario is a striking example of this.
  12. Wage growth was also strong, Statistics Canada said, an indication that those who have lost good-paying jobs in the still-ailing manufacturing sector, for example, have been able to find new jobs with comparable salaries. Year-over-year wage growth stood at 4.6 per cent in September, well above the current rate of inflation, which is standing at 3.5 per cent.
  13. Actually, there hasn't been this many jobs created in over 30 years, I believe.
  14. With all due respect, if he was tripped up on this simple question four times, it doesn't bode well for him being able to understand the issues as a PM.
  15. So he expected this interview to be private? He's telling us one thing, but we're supposed to believe your explanation?
  16. Where did I say I was embarrassed by disabilities? I suppose we're supposed to give Dion a free pass here? I mean, not like he's running for top job in the land or anything. And you never answered my questions. Thanks for coming out.
  17. Seriously? So what was he doing on CBC this morning saying that he didn't understand the question and was confused?
  18. So 107,000 new jobs were added in September, a record for any month since StatsCan began reporting. I'd say this is rather good, particularly given the current state of the economoy, no?
  19. A couple of things: 1. What is this magical disability that apparently reared its head in precisely NOT the time that Dion originally said it arises, namely, scrums and cocktail parties? 2. Disability or not, do you really want this fumbling embarrassment on the domestic or international scene? Media and liberals pick apart every single remark Harper makes, even when they are calm, responsible and right (i.e., the market probably presents good buying opportunities at the time). What's good for the goose is good for the gander. This is a huge, inexplicable, terrible embarrassing turn of events. And it validates everything the CPC has said about Dion's leadership, not to mention the left-leaning Globe & Mail's editorial endorsement of the CPC today. Rae and Ignatieff couldn't be happier.
  20. Really? You don't think it's a big deal taking four takes of a very simple question that is the crux of the issues these days? I'm just watching Dion on Newsworld this morning. It's sad, really, seeimg him try to defend this mess.
  21. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/10/10/job-stats.html Statistics Canada has surprised economists and tossed a wild card into the federal election campaign, reporting that the Canadian economy generated a record 107,000 new jobs in September. The massive number was totally unexpected, as analysts were expecting a modest pick-up in the 12,500 range. ... "The agency said employment increased across a number of industries, including health care and social assistance, business, building and other support services, agriculture, construction and natural resources." ... More in September than in any month since StatsCan started asking the question.
  22. And why doesn't this mysterious hearing problem occur in French?
  23. But I thought it was only at cocktail parties and the like? Why did it take four times? Why hasn't this happened before? Come on. Do you really think people are that stupid?
  24. One, English. And I'm not running for Prime Minister, let alone Prime Minister of a country whose majority of citizens speak a different language. Your point?
