I say let them all go intot the first stages of bankrupcy so they can force the Unions to cut slaries, get rid of the job bank, hold pension pay-outs until a worker is 60 not just 25 years worked (my buddy retired at 47 and collects his full GM pension now plus has a new job.) Then do a top down reform cutting many managment positions, and trim the fat out of the company so it will be profitable like all the Japanese auto makers that have Auto factories in Canada and the USA.

Come on, even I know the answers to these and I am the least religious person you will meet. Romans 1 is the answer about the gays not doing what is right. And in the 10 Commandments there is "Thou shall not kill" , Christians, Jews, Muslims and many non-religious people believe and hold firmly to the fact life begins at conception since the cells begin taking on their own form assisted by the mother's body but still independant in nature thus to abort is KILLING a human life. I love how so many "Save the whale, seals, trees, enviroment" people are also the first to choose Pro-choice. Is a whale, tree, seal or even the enviroment more important than a child??? How hypocritical of them. I think any of the Christians in the form here will tell you to take all of your quotes in context and also quote the bible in context too not twisting small parts of the bible without taking the whole of the paragraph or chapter in context.

Solutions To Ensure The Survival Of Canada
TCCK replied to Oleg Bach's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
"How do we do this you ask? Simple, allow individuals to deduct interest payments from their major investment, their own homes. This will spur the housing industry and provide personal tax reductions which in turn will allow individual consumers to use those additional funds to purchase other consumer goods. Create a made in Canada policy that eliminates GST from goods produced and purchased in Canada. Provide tax incentives for the purchase of all green technology produced in Canada." Great ideas, I would also add a few: 1) Give tax breaks to companies that on their own choose to put in place MAJOR enviromental safety practices and protection systems. 2) Tax breaks to companies that are doing well that continue to hire new employees and invent/patent new creative products that will help the world enviromentally, health, and to change 3rd world countries to be able to sustain themselves. (IE: a device that turns infertile soil fertile and helps plants grow with less water in countries like Ethiopia.) 3) Cut the power of the unions to control companies and force them to waste money on burdensome pensions, benefits that go to far. 4) Some how transfer the aboriginal people from a burden on Canadian society by not working and still collecting a pay check in the form of status indian pay to normal productive Canadian citizens that are fuilly integrated into the country, respected by their fellow Canadians for their input and ideas. (I know not all Aboriginal Canadians are bad unfortunately a majority are.) Settle the land claims, pay for all to goto school for 4 years and cut off the checks from the government. Sorry I do not get free hand outs from the government and I was born here, my family was on the FIRST French settlement boat to Canada so one of the oldest in Canada that is not Aboriginal so why do I not get a free hand out?? (I don't want one either!) 5) Equal representation across the country in Federal Parliament for every area based upon a mix of revenue in tax dollars and population so no one province or territory can have a tilted representation to manipulate national elections. 6) Crack down on crime, and drugs as it causes a major downward spiral for any society that allows it to go unmanaged. (This may include bringing back the unpopular CAPITAL PUNISHMENT to help deter people from them.) 7) Mandate parents are fully responsible for the actions of their kids until the kids are the age of legal adulthood (18 across the country I believe) so the parent swill place boundries and begin to care about what their kids are doing again thus bringing back the parental responsibilty or consequences for raising a juvenile delinquent. 8) Cut the political 1 term so you get a pension for life and make it based on the time you served pays a certain amount. 9) Get rid of the country clubs we have for prisons and make the prisoners learn how to work and be productive members of society and earn the priviledges they now just expect as benefits of being in prison. Do nothing but lift weights, watch TV and play basketball or volleyball all day, get free room and board guaranteed. THAT IS WRONG, why should the hard working tax payers of this country have to pay for their laziness and crappy life choices. Okay I could go on for another few pages but I will let others contribute some ideas too. -
How about both Canadian and US Govt. get smart, forcefully remove the union in the Auto sector, abolish the guaranteed pension after 25years work and do a minor wage cut.(They will have more money as they are not paying into the union.) I have a buddy that started to work at GM when he was 19 years old fresh out of high school no training. 7 years ago when he turned 44 he took early retirement and has a 60% of his best 5 years of pay checks so earns like 55K /yr on pension. Then took 2 years off and then applied at Ford, because of his years of experience and all the management couses GM paid for through union pushing, he got a cushy management job. He was just about 47 when hired, he can work until 65 and get a 41% pension when he retires from there. He will make more in a year retired than most people living in Canada that have a Bachelor or Masters degree and 10-15 years on the job IN HIS RETIREMENT DOING NOTHING!!!! Now that is wrong. I say make the pensions not kick in until any worker has quit work and hit the ripe age of at LEAST 60yrs old. I don't give a crap if you retire at 45-50 yrs old. The union forces the auto companies to shove millions into the pension fund that the union manages (or let us be clear MIS-MANAGES) and then the pension costs are pushed on to the car consumers and the North American companies have to cut corners to compete in the auto market because the Asian, Japanese and European auto manufacturers would never put up with that type of crap. SAVE THE USA and Canada, abolish union control of companies. Let workers freely choose if they want to work non-union without fear of heavy handed reprisial from some union thug. Or turn the unions into what they used to be just a lobby force to make sure businesses treat employees fairly but do not give them full control to abuse the companies economic situation. And YES I would shut my company down overnight if the union tried to get in. I've done it before and I would do it again!!! But I pay my employees well and they tell the union people that come knocking to recruit to shove it where the sun doesn't shine because they know they would lose out not gain.

Executive decision versus "open" Liberal Party vote...
TCCK replied to LesterDC's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If Iggy steps up to the bed and hops in with the NDP and BQ I hope the rest of Canada sees it for what it is: a sell out of party beliefs just to have a shot at being PM for a period of time but not for the good of the democratic system or the people of Canada. Politcial Party whoring for a chance to claim the PM hat. -
I am just wanting a demographic of the parties we all vote for. Is it 28% Liberal voters here, 37% CPC, 35% NDP or what. Please be honest! You all know I am X-Liberal and since Chretien the Liberals will never see another vote from me again. Now I am 100% Conservative supporter. If you do not want to say still vote in the poll please. This is not for any stereotyping or negative comments, keep answers short, honest and non-attacking. Thank you everyone for participating. Those that put bogus answers or post tons of negative crap will have to spend 1 week with George W. Bush, (SCARY!!!) alone in a 10ft X 10ft room (even SCARIER!!!) and you are restrained so you cannot in anyway harm or stop him from talking.

I read it, does it not say the wishes of the people are to be heard???? YES, the election made a clear statement, no NDP, no Liberal and NO BQ government! Joining them all together is just a way to be anarchist and cause a governmental mutiny or coo de ta! -
The GG should listen to the wishes of the voters of this country that was spoken so clearly only a few weeks ago and disapline the attempt at a coalition government.

New voting rules blamed for historically low turnout
TCCK replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So did anyone here in this forum get turned awaaay from voting I aaaask??? I own my own businesses (pural), yes I have tons of staff but I was very busy that daaaay and yet at 4PM I left work eaaaarly (even though my main secretary was livid I had not signed a bunch of papers and you do not want to make Joyce mad she can kill a horse with her stare when she is maaaad.) becuse I was coming bck into the office in the evening so I went to my poll (1 hour away from office) then home for a quick dinner and back to the office. It is a priviledge to be able to vote in this country and too mny people do not tke tht priviledge seriously. Maybe if there was monitary reprocussions for not voting then maybe people would get it. Sorry aaaaaaaaaaaabout the aaa problem I need to get the IT department to chnge my keyboaaaaard aaaas it is driving me mad trying to keep fixing the double, or more or no aaa's at aaall. I will caaall them right now. Sorry. -
B.C. pipeline attacks raise spectre of terrorism
TCCK replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Bill Bennett and Bill Jr were very hard line stance on crime and regulaaaarly went aginst the federal court system for being to easy on crime. But since it is all relly controlled by Ottawa we will hve to see what Hrper does to tighten the noose on crime in this country. I say bring back capital punishment for clearly guilty parties. I bet that would slow crime down!!! -
Send them on their way but tke ll the government vehicles and equipment and then we get 1 mile buffer zone off of the St.Laurence as tht is Caaanadin soil and if they do not like tht they can move to Quebec proper. They hand them a $100 bill as parting gift. I would not be sad to see them go (and rememeber I have mentioned I am French Candian in heritage!)
