  1. But if Ignatieff said that spending cuts were need and push heavily for them, it would give the conservatives chance to implemet policy out of the Policy manual that the small c's are just itching to see brought forward.
  2. A strong message was sent by not giving into the funding demands of the CBC over the last month.
  3. I see it more important to provide a job to someone to have to repair the home every year.
  4. Why should the province pay for those who deem it acceptable to build houses on a flood plain next to a river that floods to some extent almost every year?
  5. you have said it but the liberal party hasn't.
  6. I read several sources on the internet while they all may no be biased I do get and idea of what all the different camps are thnking. Typically I read the T star, he National post the globe and mail, the edmonton journal and the Calgary sun.
  7. You just answered your question as to why the PMO hired two people that are professionals at getting the message out to media.
  8. The CBC must have very different coverage in Manitoba then Alberta.
  9. Well 2 billion could have been used that was used on the gun registry, what other spending programs were the surpuses used on? We could have paid the debt down with those too. That monet was taken from you and from me, and i'll bet all the canadians that have been laid of or are facing potential lay offs would feel a lot more comfortable if that money was still backstopping them. I doubt we would have need the stimulus spending either. At a six percent return on investment that EI fund would have doubled in twelve years.... so what's 54 billion times two? Its more then the current budget deficit. We could have paid out a lot of Ei and funded a lot of retraining programs with 108 billion dollars.
  10. Nope its not. You like the CBC because they report the news the way you want to hear it.
  11. Yes that massive (over taxation) surplus went back to tax payers as what, reduced taxes.
  12. What part would that be about in the 90's it was lawful for Chretien to raid EI to pay down debt. It might have been the "legal" thing to do" but now that workers need the funds was it the "right" thing to do. I think every worker should see the liberal record on this, as it seems that there is no repentance for this from the liberals. IF you would feel better I will change my post to took.
  13. They do not report all the facts, when they have pannels its 3 left leaning people and a token conservative. They certainly are nothing like the BBC.
  14. http://www.thepeterboroughexaminer.com/Art....aspx?e=1405935 http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...1211?hub=Canada Supreme court of Canada Decision http://scc.lexum.umontreal.ca/en/2008/2008.../2008scc68.html They collected premiums that were unlawfully collected. Have you been refunded, I haven't.
  15. Really what do you call all the editorializing they do along with CTV, and Globe Media? We haven't had real media reporting in along time just editorializing, and fearmongering to sell papers and ad space.
  16. Funny thing about Liberal governments when they throw money around it disappears. Like EI monies. Oh I guess we did find some of our tax money the liberals spent, we found it in the liberal party.
  17. I agree with you I don't beleive he was lying when he said "we will raise taxes".
  18. The average person in Alberta is still a conservative and beleives in common sense. Stelmach was given the benefit of the doubt now it is time to remove the rot from our government. Time to install anthor small c conservative government, hopefully WAP can get its act together.
  19. Just remeber it was the liberals who took 54 billion dollars from the workers of this country when they raided the EI surplus. Mulroony's biggest mistake in 88' when he changed EI was not removing its funds from the Governments General revenues and setting it up as a crown croporation.
  20. The Alberta Progessives have ceased to be anything more then that they have left all forms of Conservatism. Stelmach's days are numbered, and the best before date is stamped on his forehead.
  21. He gave the answer of what he would hypothetically do if he was hypothetically elected PM. His answer was "we will raise taxes" Even your link says one word plain as day Backpedal
  22. Quit trying to steer off topic Ignatief said that he wants to raise taxes......If he wants to eliminate debt, there are better ways of doing it. One is to reduce the federal civil service, the second i to go back to funding only core federal jurdistction programs, criminal courts, military, ect. The third way is to make the provinces clean house, and fix thier problems themselves instead of thinking the ROC should fix it for them. Rasing taxes is the woarst asnwer to any problem because it says to everyone we are going to just throw more and more of your money at a problem and hope that it will go away.
  23. Socialism is concentrating power (political and economical) Into a central power figure or government to redistribute wealth to those they deem fit.
  24. I don't see the CBC painting a rosy picture of Canada as the Americans most important trading partner in the World in the US media do you?
  25. Your right the liberals are not able to fix it. You work from the left I will work from the right and between us we will squeeze the liberals out of existance in this country.
