I know you never said that either.....you were fear mongering as i accused you of, now things have settled down and clarity is there, so you did say.....and it might still, answer the question of HOW
Clarity had nothing to do with it. Canada and the UK were able to negotiate special considerations. The US had to walk back its policy on green card holders. The situation wasn't well thought through at all.

Your right that was not your quote with your name on it....must have been mistaken.....
So you thought I was talking about the 40s when I said that? I meant in recent memory, but neglected to qualify it.

Just now, Army Guy said:
But you said we as a nation have NEVER had such a policy......But we have had such a policy so your wrong....
No, I didn't say that either.

How is it effecting Canada.....
At the time he made that tweet, Canadian dual citizens of those countries (35,000 people) and permanent residents were affected by this. Now they're (apparently) not. The tweet he made said nothing against Trump or any US policy, and only promoted Canada's position.

Just now, Army Guy said:
you did, on this page actually.....
No, I didn't. That's not even remotely what that says.

If the position you're going to take is he's not as much of a moron as Trump you've set the bar pretty damned low.
What he said isn't moronic. There are very few people that see it your way on this.

If your glorious leader can't keep his stupid tweet quiet it may.
He's your leader too.
Trump was talking about John McCain wanting WWIII on Twitter today. Trudeau's tweet was pretty tame.

Why does there have to be a side, when it does not effect Canada in any way
It affected Canada at the time. It still may.

You did say never did you not, what about the jewish crises after the second world war.....what was our policy back then.
We were wrong back then - that was a different time.

wow, your right these guys have never been wrong.
Everyone is wrong - you're so right.

I provided a link which showed the entire EO. Same claim. You're the one making things up and too lazy to read what I provided because it doesnt suit your narrative.
It's right here in Section 3:
Suspension of Issuance of Visas and Other Immigration Benefits to Nationals of Countries of Particular Concern.
Those countries were previously named by the US as countries of concern. There was no need to name them in the order.
-
Just now, drummindiver said:
It did NOT affect them. The EO clearly states who's affected.
They were being deported last night. You're making things up. You earlier claimed that the EO affects only 1 country - that is no more true than your new claim.
-
5 minutes ago, Argus said:
That's been clarified. It doesn't affect those with green cards.
Not clarified. It did affect them. It's been walked back.

In today's world, what we may think is true may not be the truth and we don't know if its true what going between Trump and Putin, because there are very rich people out there that have the big bucks want to frame Trump for their own reasons and so I think we should take all this info. with a grain of salt until we are 100% sure.
I'm not sure I understand.

Is Sean Spicer lying again?

Hyperbole. One country mentioned in EO. CNN says 7 countries, the EO does not.MSM lying again.http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/28/politics/text-of-trump-executive-order-nation-ban-refugees/index.html
Yes, everyone is just making up the 7 countries.

I was pointing out there is a limit to your 'do the right thing' attitude.
Of course there are. I don't want Trudeau to openly criticize Trump, only to offer contrast for the world.

Banning trade with China and Russia would be the right thing to do. I don't see many people rushing to support the idea.
Who is banning trade with the US?
-
5 minutes ago, Argus said:
Same answer. If holders of Canadian passports who were born in one of the seven pariah states can get into the US why wouldn't holder of Swedish and UK passports not be treated similarly?
UK passport holders now can as off about an hour ago. They couldn't before that. However, it all comes down to the DHS and CBP.

Especially if your livelihood isn't threatened by it, right?
A brave man will stand up to a raging bull to protect a child from being trampled, but only an idiot will do that to protect some flowers, especially when they're not even their flowers.
It was the right thing to do. That's more important.

You will not find anywhere that I ever said the courts would permit it, even during the debate about niquabs.
That's because it's in the constitution.
-
Just now, Argus said:
It's not in the constitution, but the judges would read it in. You can't interfere with someone's religion in Canada.
So, it is in the constitution, then.

We'll see what those allies think of his 'signalling' if Trump gets pissy on us and says "Given all the foreigners pouring into Canada from Asia and the middle east which they don't even check out at all, I think it's important we strengthen security on our northern border!"
Sometimes the economy is less important than allowing reprehensible ideas to go unchallenged.

There are 7 countries affected for 90 days. You can try to change reality, but reality doesn't actually change because you want it to.
