  1. The house of Commons Chamber is not the place to check emails or doing crossword puzzles. Its a place to ask the government questions regarding their constituency. The New Democrat apologized for making this an issue and admitted she was wrong for looking at someone's emails. I have yet to see MP Moore apologize to his consituents for wasting valuable time and doing personal business on government time. Time for these conservatives to start governing like professionals instead of like high school children looking at the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
  2. Honestly if I was a member of the NDP in the churchill riding. I would not have supported Bev at the nomination meeting. I liked her and she was a good critic but the same sex marriage issue would have turned me off
  3. Whats wrong with smoking a joint and killing a bag of doritos
  4. I am a member of the CAW and have disengaged my activism with the union over principles. I prefer to be active in other social movements that adhere to the same principles I have.
  5. Yep..you're right. Its a matter of principles.
  6. Thats true but convention rules and all incumbents must support all policy from convention. If she was a tory or a liberal she would have been thrown out of caucus but that didn't happen. She resigned from caucus after her defeat by riding members.
  7. How would you feel being a member of the liberals in David Emerson's riding after nominating the guy and a week after the election he crosses the floor. would you as a member support this guy in another nomination meeting
  8. She should have won the nomination hands down
  9. Her critics portfolio was stripped form her because she didn't adhere to the direction given to the party by the members of convention but her defeat was at the hands of the riding association which is the grassroots of the party.
  10. Lets face it, Dion is a joke as a leader and everyone sees it..Maybe the liberals should get a leader that isn't from quebec
  11. The only reason some of the liberal caucus sat on the fence and didn't vote is because they are disorganized and their party mimicks the conservatives.
  12. On October 17, 2005, Desjarlais lost the Churchill NDP nomination to Niki Ashton, daughter of Manitoba cabinet minister Steve Ashton, in a vote of the membership of the Churchill NDP riding association.[16] She resigned from the NDP caucus on the same day, and announced she would run as an Independent in the next federal election[17] She acknowledged that her position on same-sex marriage was a prominent factor in her defeat. Can't get any more grassroots than that
  13. Where do you get your info from the national post. Bev lost the nomination in the riding.
  14. Bev Desjarlais was tossed by the grassroots of her riding in Manitoba. It wasn't the party that tossed her. In our riding if an incumbent that we elected to represent us as members of the party turn around and don't support the same things as the memebers I will not be voting for that person and thats exactly what happened to Bev.
  15. The green party are hypocrites..They elct ex-liberals and ex-tories to be their leaders and say they support decriminalizing marijuana. They have an environmental policy that mimickes the tories plan eg. carbon taxes and the sale of pollution credits. Give me a break the greens are full of hypocracy. Let them on the national debate and we can expose them for what they are they gray party
