  1. LSD was fun and I occasionally get the odd acid flash back but I haven't had any in like 4 years. The only drugs I do on a regular basis are Pot and coffee, I very rarely ever drink and very rarely these days delve into mushrooms and peyote. I would like to try LSD again but it's so damn rare and I lost contact with this chick I knew who extracted it from Ergot farms she maintained. I could arguably say the sugar, cigarettes, coffee and even pharmaceuticals along with an entire list of other chemicals classed as drugs that get people started. I don't believe there is such thing as a gateway drug. I do believe however that the small percentage of us who use say pot and on occasion other drugs responsibly like mushrooms, LSD or Peyote will always be chasing the 'ultimate high'. I don't chase the ultimate high I just like to mix it up sometimes. I mean Paul McCartney isn't all messed up and look at all the acid he dropped when he was in The Beetles. Yeah I don't drink often enough to even handle a 12 pack without getting reasonably drunk. a 6 pack gets me half cut. Forced to take an elective...bummer One year I was forced to take shop because I was to late when i signed up my classes. Yeah it totally sucked but I made a super cool bong like in that idol hands movie. I made some super cool stuff in art class though when it came to sculpting and pottery etc. lots of ash trays etc. I made a sculpture (bong) modeled after that picture of Einstein where he stick out his tongue. I agree hell you can even die from water over dose... Yes there have been deaths from drinking to much water. Yet no deaths from smoking to much weed.
  2. No I was literally high every day in school and at home when i studied etc. I just never since i was a little kid found school very hard and kinda always excelled that and art anyway. It really all depends on which drugs you use... Cannabis effects are generally quite mild when compared to the effects of say heroin or crystal meth etc. I equate pot with coffee in the sense that people can drink a few cups and still function well at what they are doing or in most cases anyway. I would hardly say alcohol has soft effects it can seriously hinder your ability to do anything especially in large quantities. If a person fails in school they can only blame themselves. If you are willing to take a substance that hinders your ability to learn then that makes a failing grade your own fault. Pot just never hindered my ability to learn in school and I never fit into the dumb stoner teenager click either... Of course it was an easy class for me even w/o the pot.... You should see some of my LSD inspired stuff or my Absinthe inspired stuff.
  3. Seeing as how Saskatchewan and Manitoba have just as many natural resources to exploit if not more in some regards which are now being opened up for business and seeing how many people are now moving away from Alberta due to the extremely high costs of living it would be more devastating for them then for the rest of Canada. Alberta will never separate, sure it may look good for them in the short term but seeing as how other provinces are playing catch up in the long term separation would be far more harmful to their economy. Not that it matters anyway because they won't separate and eventually we will be out of the oil game as cleaner and cheaper technologies emerge anyway. Most of Alberta's population come from the rest of Canada and would never vote yes in a referendum to separate from Canada.
  4. The exact same thing happened with alcohol that is happening with cannabis. The only reason why alcohol was re-legalized was because to many people were breaking the unjust law and it could not be enforced. As for changing it legally we would but the first thing that needs to happen is for politicians and judges to stop crumbling like a house of cards due to pressure from the US who leads the charge in the so called 'war on drugs'. If I could I would restore our national sovereignty by ridding Canada of the DEA and thei 2 offices located in Ottawa and Vancouver. Yeah the rest of my statement does matter because I was making a point. If the government told you it was now illegal for you to vote for any other candidate except the liberal candidate despite other candidates being on the ballot would you obey that law even though it is unjust and irrational in a supposed free democratic society? I know I would break this law even if it meant jail time. Well my parents did things the way you did things and in this matter we are now at odds with one another. You may not want to believe that at least one of your kids will try pot just because you don't want them to but they become their own person and don't always mirror their parents especially if they are smarter then you. Once they hit the age of curiosity and start partying etc you will find that you disagree with them on a great many things and this issue will come up sometime, unless of course they are to scared to talk to you because they are scared you will turn them into the police and make an example out of them etc. The message was sent now but once they get older they will see that as you being a total asshole. Everyone I know who had parents like you now distance themselves from them and I don't think you want your kids to do the same to you. People should not have their lives ruined just because YOU don't like cannabis. It is hard to believe that you care about children yet are fully committed to tearing apart families and ruining lives. Well I use public transportation and ride my bike around the city whenever I can. Just because you don't like to smoke pot or never have doesn't make it stupid. Speeding is of course stupid and so is drinking alcohol as that kills lots of people. I smoked pot all the way through high school and university and still graduated both with top marks. That's right I got top marks in school and was high the whole time. You lump every pot smoker in with stupid teenagers, rapists and speeders. I am here to tell you that most of us do not fit into your A-typical stereotype. So were they hurting anyone? Did they do anything to you? Why the huge grudge against people who do things you don't? Live and let live that's what I say. I could care less whether or not people smoke pot or not. Would you call the police on your own kids if they jay walked across a street or came home high one night after a party? Making an example of teens who live across the street from you is not proper drug education it's being an asshole. Your comments clearly demonstrate not only a lack of compassion but a lack of knowledge regarding drugs but especially Cannabis which is a benign plant that cause no real harm to human physiology. You sir are a fascist! Stiffer penalties do not work to deter crime nor do death penalties. Look at US crime numbers and their rising drug usage rate. Look at their cramped over crowded gulags and worlds highest prison population. You will find that what you propose will do nothing but enslave and oppress. Actually pedophilia is not on the rise, it only appears this way because it makes the headlines more these days and this is because the subject is not so taboo like it used to be. The world has always been a rotten place we just hear about it more as our access to information is now unprecedented. You can't even compare pedophilia to cannabis use. Pedophilia has been proven to cause long lasting and serious psychological trauma to children . I smoke cannabis within my own home I never hurt anyone and I am using the Cannabis on myself not giving it to other people. Cannabis has never killed a person and it has been proven not to cause permanent or even temporary brain damage or anything else other then the possibility of getting bronchitis. The punishment in the US has teeth and yet it has done nothing even after spending an estimated trillion dollars to fight drugs. Use continues to rise in all age demographics and the jail population down there has become to high for jails to handle. Your philosophy is simply not a viable and sustainable solution. What we need here is rationality and sensible laws that no longer punish those who choose to us a plant for both pleasure and medical applications. The only way to change a law is to break it and apply pressure to policy makers. Over half of the Canadian population do not support your views and the government has turned a blind eye to the very public they were elected to represent. I believe society should have law and order. I also believe however that these laws must be sensible and not impede on our personal lives and freedoms. Breaking a law does not always harm society especially if the law is unjust. Criminalizing pot users and breaking up families and ruining lives harms society. Increasing penalties and throwing everyone in jail harms society by causing an increase in taxation. The government is not always right in their decisions and criminalizing pot is not one of them. Did the protests in Burma which were illegal harm society or does the governments brutal means of suppressing the democratic movement harm society? Was Hitlers extermination of the Jews in Europe just just because the Nazi government hated them? In China does the illegal status of speaking out against the government make it right? A law is only acceptable when it is rational, sensible and just. Throwing a murderer in jail or a rapist is just as they inflict harm on others through their actions. Most pot users do not harm others and only use withing their homes or property. If you want crime reduction and harm prevention then the laws need to change not the punishment and increasing punishment does not work as a deterrent. Crime can only be reduced when the 7 billion dollar a year cannabis industry is taken out of the hand of the black market and that is a fact not an opinion. Another fact is that the war on drugs is really a war on people, people like me who are otherwise productive members of society. The war on drugs is over and guess what people you lost. If there is a demand and there is then there will always be a supplier the only question that needs to be asked here is: Who do you want controlling the drug trade?
  5. Soccer IMO has the hardest core most violent fans of any sport.
  6. I am non-partisan... The liberals piss me off because they are corrupt and they never stick to their guns and the cons piss me off because they don't act very conservative. I will be voting this time for the candidate who has the best environmental policy and most reasonable. This issue is by far the most important issue to us not only as a nation but as a species that should be able to sustain itself for centuries to come. I am still undecided as to who will get my vote, Afghanistan is also another big issue for me. After researching what is going on in Afghanistan and the progress being made it is clear to me that the corruption within it's government, police, military and civilian population especially it's farmers which were promised legit seeds for crops like wheat and corn and instead are now growing opium to feed their families for the Taliban, this war has become a lost cause to to the lack of support from the international community.
  7. Almost 1 out of every 5 Canadians smoke pot and this number is on the rise. You cannot possibly throw all these people in jail which means the laws will have to change. There in my opinion should also be a rational legal basis for outlawing something as well which there is none for pot. While 70% do comply with the law over half still do not support the law. The only way to change a law also when the courts and the politicians give you the run around is to break it and or apply pressure to have the law changed. Remember just because something is illegal does not make it wrong. An Ontario judge just ruled that current laws regarding pot were unconstitutional. The laws regarding pot are unconstitutional because they hinder our right to consciousness and personal freedom to do what we please provided we hurt no one else. Call me a criminal but I refuse to follow laws that I think are not only wrong and violate our personal freedom but baseless as well. You cannot compare a rapist to a cannabis user as a rapist harms other human beings while cannabis users do not. Your kids must be quite young. Once they get to high school and discover that at least half of their classmates smoke pot many of whom are straight A students like I was and discover that everything the government and anti-drug lobby told them was BS once they try it and I assure you they will you and your kids will be at odds. Just because a few idiot teenagers smoke pot does not mean that all users are in fact idiots. Many of us are respectable members of our communities and work hard. Except in the case of pot cops most of the time now don't bother and over half of all pot related charges are often dropped in most provincial courts. I would much rather see the police focus on real criminal like rapists, murderers and gangs as opposed to pot smokers minding their own business. Calling the cops on people and potentially ruining their lives just to make an example out of someone so your kids could see it is just plain wrong. If you really want your kids to listen to you about drugs you should properly educate them about drugs as opposed to trying to scare them into submission. So then you basically admit that you support a police state that imprisons huge chunks of it's populations and genocides others? What you describe is basically what it is like in the US where they now have the largest prison population in the world yet like Canada cannabis use is rising. The only solution to cutting back crime is not to punish cannabis users but rather to simply abolish prohibition. If it is not illegal then no crime is being committed. So as opposed to setting up a police state we should focus more on violent offenses and harm reduction and leave the pot people alone. Current drug policy is simply not viable especially in regards to cannabis. Me and almost everyone I know have no criminal records for anything other then cannabis possession. None of us are violent we all work and many of us have families and what have you. Essentially we are just as normal as everyone else to be honest most people don't pin me as being someone who even smokes pot on a regular basis. The only thing fair would be to stop punishing the people for living their lives how they please especially since most of us do not harm society in any way.
  8. Please pot doesn't make you crazy or stupid because it does not harm the brain. I have been using it for years and I'm alright... Or at least I think I am anyways... The short term memory loss as a result of using Cannabis is short term and goes away as soon as the high wears out or at least it does for me anyway. Nature provides a plant one that man has used for thousands of years and all of a sudden almost a century ago it is banned along with alcohol and other substances without cause. We as a people and I am talking about everyone not just people who use pot now had the right to use this plant stripped from us. Civil rights are involved here along with our rights to freedom of expression and consciousness. Keeping Cannabis illegal just because some people don't like it is or should be illegal especially since the users do not harm anyone else anymore then people who do not use it. As someone who is ambitious I don't only see legalization as a victory restoring our rights to freely access this plant but I also see money to be made and jobs to be created. I also see a significant decrease in crime over a short amount of time similar to the drop that occurred when alcohol was made legal again. This is a 7 billion dollar a year industry that should be controlled by legit business and government regulation and not organized crime. If people cannot agree with this as a cause for legalization then they themselves are ignorant not only of the facts but history as well.
  9. Most crops grown now originated with seeds that came from BC... Also Indica gives you the euphoric stone you mention and Sativa gives you the body stone. Afghani is also an Indica not a Sativa. The buds on the plant if grown properly are also not that small and it is totally worth it to grow your own, this plant also has a high concentration of THC. Also pot is not imported into Canada anymore they are all grown here including the Afghani strain which did originate in Afghanistan years ago. Some people do develop a psychological dependency I will admit this however it is not all that hard to quit smoking even with this dependency. A psychological addiction is the proper term to be used here and it can be a problem. No one said that pot was a culture itself but a culture has formed around this plant and we do have every right to use something provided by nature at our own discretion provided we don't harm anyone else. No one has the right although they think they do to tell us what we can and cannot do behind closed doors or interfere with our personal lives. I actually do smoke weed not only to catch a buzz but yes to indeed savor the flavor. THC levels in pot can not go any higher then they are now so plants can only be judged on taste. Also smoking it you can only smoke so much before you hit a peak in which you won't get any higher this is typically known as greening out. Your pig analogy also fits no where into this conversation at all. It is mind boggling how someone can deny a culture simply because they don't agree with the activities the people take part in.
  10. Yeah but figure skating sucks though.... It would be awesome if they allowed female only pairs skating then I may be more inclined to watch. Ticket prices aren't the only source of income for franchises. Most of the actual revenue generated comes from merchandising and royalties. Basketball, Baseball and NFL players all make more then NHL players do although they still make more then CFL players even still. But I agree that ticket prices are high way to high though. To me it seems that it is really about price gouging then making money to pay players. there is no reason why prices should be as high as what they are. This being said I'm not a leafs fan anyway and the only reason why I would want them to win is to keep the cup Canadian.
  11. First of all I take offense to the term dopehead so please don't call me that. Secondly it is not weird that some of us charish our weed, like wine there are different varieties of cannabis all offering something different, hand blown glass pieces which include bongs and pipes are collected the world over by cannabis connoisseurs as well. BTW Cannabis Cup sucks... You know most cannabis users are casual responsible users right? You make us all seem like a bunch of crazed drug addicts who can't stop smoking pot etc. I smoke on a daily basis but every couple of months I stop for 2 to 3 weeks no problem at all or with drawl symptoms. It is not an emotional dependency. Nor is it a chemical dependency either. Calling it a 'dependency' implies that we are all dependent on cannabis although this is not the case. Calling it emotional dependence implies that we have some sort of emotional attachment to the plant. The only emotional dependency I can see in regards to pot is the love for this plant and it's effects. This being said if I had no choice but to stop smoking etc I would, I mean I would be bummed of course but it's no big deal like say quiting heroin or cocaine would be. == You say you smoked but I don't believe you I also don't believe you have any knowledge of the plant at all or it's effects on the human body.
  12. I personally don't have a problem with this at all. Harper has adopted the republican way of conducting business. Lower taxes and increase spending.... Not very conservative IMO For example he just spent hundreds of millions on tanks for our military which I am not necessarily opposed to but this being said big spending like this as well as other big purchases etc and scandalous behavior it is certainly not the time to be lowering taxes. Taxes pay the bills.. I hope people this time vote on a parties environmental platform as the single most important issue in the world today and Canada as opposed to who lowers taxes the most.
  13. The subculture surrounding this plant has nothing to do with emotional escapism. I like to think of the subculture the same way I would think of other cultures that have grown around for example wine and the connoisseurs that have formed clubs around the drink etc. Like the wine connoisseurs we gather for our love of something which we enjoy. Essentially we are cannabis enthusiasts and this enthusiasm is what brings us together not emotional escapism. You have no right to call the pot culture twisted. Most people who use cannabis live normal healthy lifestyles, I bet you know a lot of people who smoke and you would never know it. Pot doesn't make you more creative... If you were a horrible writer then no matter what drug you use you will always be a horrible writer. I'm not saying your a bad writer just giving an example. Pot also does not remove you from reality, not once even my first time using it has it ever removed me from reality and I smoke the best pot in the world. Fact is pot in general is about as good in regards to THC as it will ever be. Pot is not LSD which really does remove you from reality. The real problem afoot here is not us we have done nothing wrong but rather those like you who call us twisted and persecute us for using a plant. I never said pot was a wonder drug but as a treatment for various ailments it has been proven time and time again to work as a 'treatment' not a cure. The marijuana party got the government to study medicinal marijuana which they did and now although very limited we do have a legal medical marijuana program. There are a ton of studies going all the way back to the 1960's along with clinical trials. You can argue all you want that there aren't but irrefutable empirical evidence and personal testimony from those who do have a wide range of legitimate illnesses tell me and others that pot does have significant medicinal value. You have to remember that those who only use pot for medicinal purposes aren't getting all that high or anything and in many cases choose ingestion as a mode of taking cannabis. The studies that say otherwise are often funded by major pharmaceutical companies who would lose a lot of money if pot were a mainstream treatment for ailments. People have been using cannabis as a medication for thousands of years and continues to be used with success for patients. Since you don't want studies I won't post them but I will tell you that your assessment that cannabis has no medicinal value at all is flat out wrong. I highly suggest you go down to a compassion club and talk to patients who use cannabis with success.
  14. There is a sub culture that surrounds this plant... Also Cannabis use has been practiced for thousands of years and continues today. This plant has played a pivotal role through out history as many great men and women used it for 'inspiration'. For example William Shakespear was a well known user. Other plants as well including Peyote and various species of Mushrooms have also been used. Fact is we have had the right to use this plant and others taken away from us in the 1920's. As for it's medical benefits they do exist and while it certainly does not cure disease it is a wonderful treatment for numerous ailments. The government acknowledges it's applications in the medical field as well as many doctors too. If the government told you that it was illegal to vote for anyone except a specific candidate even though others are on the ballot would your right to vote be gone? This is how I feel in regards to cannabis as other more dangerous drugs are legal while a harmless plant I enjoy on a regular basis is not. Why is it that dangerous drugs like tobacco and alcohol and lets not forget the endless amounts of legal drugs that big pharma puts out that kill thousands every year. To put it simply there is no legal basis at all why cannabis is illegal and why it was made illegal in the first place. It was made illegal at the same time as alcohol and never returned to it's status as legal. === Shavluk like seriously man the name calling and insults are getting you no where.... You don't bother with liars yet here we are and you still respond to my posts. All you have done is freak out and throw around insults, seriously show a little maturity for the sake of the younger members here who may read this thread.
  15. Anyone who uses the word Nazi automatically loses any debate.... It is either higher taxes on food or regulating it, you really can't have it both ways. Obesity as a result of eating shitty food is an epidemic. For those who eat themselves to death you should not have a good self image. Having a good perspective about how much fat you gained eating poison is not good at all.
  16. I would rather pay for my health care via taxes then pay for health care per doctors visit. The private health care system in the US is the second leading cause of bankruptcy... The average middle class Canadian would not be able to afford the costs associated with abolishing public health care. I believe however that a 2 tier system where private business should be able for example to have MRI service and what have you while at the same time also having the same service at public hospitals for those who cannot afford to pay.
  17. It is hard for people to take responsibility especially if your on the lower end of the income spectrum. Shitty food is cheaper, advertised more and so on. The government does have responsibility in regards to higher taxation and stiffer food regulations. The CRTC for example could ban ads for fast food and other junk food etc. People also have to make choices in regards to what they eat but for some it can't be done especially not with healthy food costing much more then unhealthy food. No one is saying you have to eat healthy but if you don't you should have to pay more for food then those who don't as you are deliberately putting you self at increased risk of health complication which then turns into increased health care costs.
  18. You can grow your own tobacco and make your own booze for personal use without any restriction other then you cannot commercially distribute your product. The same will apply for marijuana and has to since so many including myself grow it at home already. If pot was 3 or 4 times it's value it would be like 4 or 5$ a gram as the cost of growing is not that expensive. $10 a gram is more then enough even after you factor in taxes, the high price you mentioned is not feasible considering I can get at least 7 grams for $50 now. Taxes are high on tobacco because of the strain smokers put on the health care system. Tobacco can be grown too if people do not want to pay the high price at a retailer for a pack etc. Pot will be the same way, so many already grow for personal use already it would be impossible to outlaw personal grows. Pot has to be legal for people to grow and not limited to industrial commercial grows. My approach in regards to regulation are in many respects modeled after the tobacco ad liquor industries. Proper regulation and taxation is a key component to doing this properly. Also allow me to correct you on a few points you made here. 1: Cannabis is a soft drug and despite the negativity some show towards the plant it's effects are way over hyped. In regards to it's negative effects a joint or massive bong haul are about as harmful as drinking a cup of coffee. 2: The big lie is that all mind altering substances impair you the same. Trust me on this the effects of pot are completely different to those of alcohol. Pot has never not once effected my hand eye coordination not like alcohol does in fact the only thing I really notice is a slight loss in my reaction time. Pot cannot even be compaired to alcohol or tobacco in the regards that it affects people in a very different mannor. I'm not saying to smoke a joint and then go out driving or anything but studies I have read as well as personal experience show me that a person on pot is far more capable of performing tasks like driving as they become more cautious then those drinking etc. The THC cannot be regulated as the plant produces the chemical naturally, in fact our brains are specifically design for THC in take as well as producing the chemical. Fact is I can sit here and smoke 5 grams in one sitting and I will never overdose. Right now I smoke really good stuff and I can assure you that THC levels will not rise any higher then they are now in strains. Cannabis will also be no more expensive then the going street price now because if it were it would just nurture the black market which is what we are trying to avoid. Since pot users do not harm anyone nor do they put strain on the health care system like those who drink large amounts of alcohol or smoke cigarettes the taxes will be far lower then booze and alcohol. You cannot even compare pot to booze and alcohol in regards to taxation, if anything it would be more comparable to coffee. In regards to licensing it won't be that strict as quite a few industries such as big tobacco and liquor industries try to break in on this 7 billion dollar a year industry. I think pot will be legal sooner then you think it will be. I understand what you are saying but I have researched this for years and I can assure you 100% that the price of legal pot with taxes will at least meet street prices to put the black market out of business. A large part of legalization has to be about harm reduction and crime reduction. There are valid reasons why booze and alcohol taxes are as high as what they are. There is however no reason for pot to ever go above $10 a gram. there is also no reason to not allow people to have one grow light and up to 5 or 6 plants either for personal use. Legalize, Regulate, Educate, Medicate. == Yes the law states that you can be thrown in jail for possession, in fact I know a bunch of people who now have done jail time for possession. Marijuana nationally has not been legalized or decriminalized even in regards to possession of small amounts. If jail isn't bad enough you also get a nasty criminal record which hinders your ability to travel and get a job if they do a record check etc. essentially ruining your life. Calling me and others like me pathetic simply because you disagree takes away from any argument you have. Resorting to insults is usually a last ditch effort for those losing debates. I am not just fighting for MY right to use Cannabis and not be persecuted for it. I am fighting for everyone who has and will be persecuted for using a plant. For me an many others this is a very real issue effecting Canada and the world socially and economically. No longer should people be persecuted for a plant jailed, heckled or insulted. If people don't want to smoke they can vaporize it or cook it into food... Pot when smoked cannot even be compared to cigarettes in regards to harm as tobacco is completely different then cannabis. The benefits o using cannabis by far out weigh any of the negative health effects. As for alcohol there is no health effects of drinking alcohol, there are however health effects in beverages that contain alcohol such as beer or wine. The health benefits are derived not from the alcohol but the other chemical properties in the drinks. When was the last time there was a national hunger strike in Canada. People who do this in dictatorships are ignored but Canada is not a dictatorship... The government can just be a little stubborn. Again letting a bunch of people die is not an option and any action taken against us including arresting us and force feeding us is illegal as it is a clear violation of our civil rights. Veterans organizations and other groups fight for their health care and breast cancer is an issue other groups of people are working towards a solution for.... I do give to charities as well. You do not have any grounds for saying that prohibition is not a 'real' issue when it is in fact a real issue. While you may not be effected by it many of us are. You say you are not anti pot and not to say you are when in you have demonstrated a lack of compassion for those persecuted. If you were pro pot you would also acknowledge that not only do current policies violate civil rights but also cost endless amounts of your tax dollars to persecute fellow users. You have demonstrated to me anyway that you are anti legalization and anti pot by calling our cause pathetic.
  19. Mostly I want to do this because despite you inaccurate depiction people still go to jail. Other reasons also include reducing crime, jail population, the ability for people to know what they are buying and the list goes on. It's not harmful at all like alcohol or cigarettes... I would hardly call this a moot issue though considering almost 20% of the nation use pot on a regular basis which has also been on a steady rise. Fact is you have to fight against the powers that be to get what you want. You have to be able to put pressure on the government and a hunger strike would put immense pressure on them. What you call pathetic I call strategic... I never smoked to be rebellious I do cause I like it. When I can go to a coffee shop and legally take massive bong hits in front of 100 police officers then I will be happy. I am not politicizing the issue it has been done already I am just playing the game that people like Emery set up already. I look at it as a game of chess and I have the perfect opportunity to get the win with one move. Being anti pot is doing nothing and supporting the current laws which put people like me in jail. Over half the nation wants pot legal and thus I gain sympathy from people, others will join me to protest via hunger strike and others will support by showing the government how outraged they are. Fact is the government can't touch us unless we do something illegal, they also won't let a bunch of people simply die of starvation either. They are really only left with one solution that does not make them look bad. Everyone who takes part in a hunger strike will be viewed as counter culture heroes as they will play a key role in showing the nation that a few of us can make a difference.
  20. I seen an episode of this show and didn't find it all that entertaining at all to be honest. There are quality Canadian made shows out there though like Corner Gas, This Hour has 22 minutes, Royal Canadian Air Farce, Rick Mercer Report, and the list goes on. Mosque however is not really that high quality of a show. One show in particular I personally connect with even though I'm not native and no longer live in North Central Regina is Moccasin Flats which is a show that accurately depicts life in the cities inner city neighborhood. This show is broadcast on the APTN channel.
  21. Except that I won't be getting high during this time period and there is a good reason. The reason being of course because I don't want the police to have something to nail me with and end the protest... Do you think that all people who use pot just simply cannot resist food or something? CSIS gimme a break they couldn't catch a cold.... Besides they arent interested in pot protesters that's more of a police thing... Most people who use pot often go w/o pot for sometimes weeks at a time. I do once my body starts building up a resistance, yeah some of us do like to take a break from using... I feel a hunger strike is almost necessary to get what we want. To quote Spock from the Wrath of Khan movie "The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few". This protest will show who is willing to really fight for their cause and who is not. Of course it would begin right after 420 celebrations which will be the last time we would smoke or whatever until the protest is over. I'm not going anywhere.... I can handle not smoking I do it all the time. Most of us can handle not smoking as Cannabis is not physically addictive. Even high I know I can resist munchies no problem. No that only rids you of the pasties... There won't even be gum at if such a protest happens which I hope it does.
  22. Please a 100km/h is not that slow, the average highway speed limit is 100-110 km/h. Fact is there are speed limits because once cars start going so fast they become uncontrollable. Even if cars were controlled by computer software that had near instantaneous reaction time going super fast would still be unsafe. === Anyway is provinces like Saskatchewan and I am sure others insurance companies have banned any type of car with an electric engine. So if I built a safe and speedy car powered by an electric motor I could not get plates for it. Either which way I look at it hydrogen fuel cells and what have you are likely the future of personal transport due to it's price and abundance and let's not forget about how environmentally friendly it is at 0% emissions.
  23. Actually it may not be all that crazy or not as crazy as you make it seem anyway. A few years ago someone had told me about the NWO so I researched it, not so much to prove that there is one but to disprove it to him. While I'm not entirely convinced that one single group controls the entire world I am convinced that several groups in fact may control everything from international policy, economics and sovereign nations. I recently sat down with a group of intellectuals at the university here and discussed the issue. Many of the groups that the so called crazy conspiracy theorists talk about like the Bilderberg Group, Skull and Bones, CFR, Trilateral Commission and so on do in fact sway not only policy made all around the world but also sway everything from industry to the global economy. Many of these groups members are among the most powerful in the world and frequently members of multiple groups. Well no one can be certain that these groups are working together toward a planned global dictatorship there is certainly evidence to show that we may in fact be heading in this direction or even possibly be there already. While I won't say that this is in fact the case it is reasonable to assume that it could be. I think this matter is far from resolved and certainly should be researched further.
  24. Our government is supposed to act in our best interests taking action in regards to health problems and deaths caused by the foods that are made cheap and convenient to people is the only responsible path to take. It however is not only the government though I also feel that the people also have a responsibility to help themselves as well. I mean we can't out right ban shitty food but we can make it more expensive via taxes and at the same time lower prices on healthier alternatives. Of course these taxes would be directly put into the health care system and into the promotion of healthy eating habits. In regards to schools many school boards all across Canada have now banned pop and candy machines, while they still could do more it is at least a start.
