  1. I LOVE Toronto! I wish they would get their garbage together, though. I lived downtown from 2001-03. Recycling in apartment buildings (Half of the population) JUST came into effect in 2002. However, the recycle bins were full the day after they were emptied so the rest went in the trash. It did not improve over the next year. TORONTO'S TRASH is becoming a huge public relations issue for them. Michigan is dicey, there have been protests. Toronto is looking for places closer to home to dump, and Cayuga is one of the locations. However, that is now closed to them. If Toronto was happy to dump its trash in the Grand River, why aren't they just as happy to dump it in the HUMBER? Yes, the answer is obvious ... nimby. Well, some of the landfills chosen are in someone else's backyard and they don't want it either. With the knowledge and technology available now, Toronto has the expertise to deal with its own trash without imposing it on other communities. There is a landfill up north also being readied for Toronto's trash. Residents there have been fighting it for years. It is located right on top of the purest water aquifer ever seen by the researcher who tested it, the water I grew up on, best in the world. What the dump owners want is money, and they don't care what gets contaminated. What the local residents want is a non-toxic river. It is inevitable that there will be a backlash against Toronto. Just trying to give people a heads up before it becomes a crisis, but of course that won't work. People won't do anything until the trucks are all sent back. It may not be long before that happens, either. What's the big deal? Toronto has lots of parking lots. Just park the trucks at night and drive them around during the day, just like now!
  2. Take a good look at the truth, Angus. Racism is considered acceptable here.
  3. OLEG I have reported your post, and I certainly hope you are required to edit it. Six Nations is a community of 22,000 aboriginal men, women and children. It is not a Mafia operation. You are broadbrushing a whole community with your racism and defamatory post. Where do you idiots GET this crap? Must be from standing around picking your a*se
  4. The evidence is no doubt in the lawyers' hands. That is all you or I know at this point.
  5. Absolutely. Toronto needs to figure out what to do with its trash. Nobody else wants it. Soon there will be orphan trucks driving all over Ontario looking for a place to dump Torontonians WATER BOTTLES and other recyclable trash. And of course, the real solutions to trash will not be 'found' until there is a crisis - i.e., nobody else will take it. Why on earth would Six Nations or local residents allow dumping of toxic Toronto trash into the Grand River? Put it in the HUMBER!!
  6. kengs you know that is not true. Why do you lie? Trying to make a point that doesn't exist perhaps? "The facts" have been presented to the government numerous times over the last 200 years, beginning the day after the supposed 'surrender'. The government evaded them and continued to oppress them, passing laws to prevent them from pursuing legal redress, etc. In the last 40 years, however, Canada has been repeatedly exposed internationally for its illegal and inhumane treatment of Indigenous people's land rights and basic human rights. Canada now has no choice but to address these issues, but the issues have existed and have been pursued by Indigenous Peoples for centuries. Ironically, Indigenous Peoples still want nothing but justice and to live in peace with us. However, the bad faith negotiating methods of our federal governments continues to threaten peaceful resolution.
  7. Good point guyser!
  8. Point being ... YOU DON'T KNOW, so stop presuming the trial outcome and making defamatory statements. I do know there is video of the Gualtieri crew lying in wait for the boys, though. A friggen flag! Grown ups lying in wait and attacking teenagers over a friggen flag. HUNDREDS of other developers up and down the Grand have managed to do business and get on with their business without attacking teenagers or anybody else.
  9. Just as ignorant. The courts do not interpret the treaties literally, but in the modern context. For example, Indigenous communities received the same government "medicine kit" as settler communities as part of an agreement back then. Now, that translates into free health care the same as it has evolved for us. A small minority of Canadians have tried to convince themselves of the superiority if the Euro culture, choosing to believe that we had a right to usurp their land for our profit. That minority is now wailing and gnashing teeth because the courts do not agree with their "superiority" rights. Lashing out by denigrating Indigenous People, as you and Riverwind do here, is petty and unacceptable in decent society, imo. Riverwind, perhaps you would like to explain why HUNDREDS of developers have no problem with dealing with the HDI, and why only TWO local shoestring operations have caused a scene? Perhaps you would like to explain why these two yahoos refuse to search their titles? They say Ontario guarantees their titles. Ontario says: Consult with the HDI.
  10. To keep the deer out of their gardens.
  11. Why thank you. Glad you like it. Ya ... I am 'loosing' it alright ... letting loose on a few ws's (white supremacists) who like to follow me around and make like the lowlife animals they are. Think I scared them off?
  12.
  13. Most of the "butterbox babies" were born from the residential school abuse, and murdered. Sometimes their mothers were too. (Watch the CBC movie again ... they don't say it but you can see it.) Yes, the 'homes for unwed mothers' were private, and provided adoption for white children, but their 'cash cow' were the Indigenous students from the schools impregnated by abuse. It wasn't just in Nova Scotia. That's only one story, the only one to ever surface. Somehow the RCMP were forced to act in that community. Amazing. There were homes like that everywhere across the country. If a student escaped from there, the RCMP would track them down and return them. yay canada At a school being torn down in BC, on the island I believe, rows and rows of infant skeletons were in the foundation. There was no home fro unwed mothers near that school, I guess, so they did the job themselves. It is horrific. Boycott the Catholic, Anglican and United churches until they pay attention. It is up to them to bring the children home. Yes moxie, there is that issue of Canadian government policy that supported these crimes against humanity committed here, on our behalf. But first there are the children, their families. The churches must act, must let the families know their children died, how they died, and where they are buried.
  14. good one! attempt at humour appreciated ... ... but more to the point of your vicious joke ... some might say it wasn't a blanket Sam was pressing on the 15 year old's windpipe, before his brother slugged Sam off, harshly it's true, but does an 18 year old know how much force to use if he's never hit anyone in a life or death situation before? Would I? Would you? the euro-myth creation of history continues ... Six Nations ... Caledonia ... Stirling Woods ... noahbody ... just another friggen sheetartist ... IT'S JUST A FRIGGEN FLAG !! A kid with a flag. Missing the point ... these are a couple of shyteheaded small potatoes local developers making a stink, and only one builder did not leave the site when told to by the OPP ... cos the kids might hang a flag. HUNDREDS of developers, big and small, up and down the Haldimand Tract have done business with the Haudenosaunee Six Nations, because they KNOW their titles are not clear ... "There are no documents of transfer from Six Nations to the Crown" in Ontario's Land Registry, according to the developers and they searched their titles to find out. Did you get that? Who needs land claims? The government's own database tells business owners all they need to know: Six Nations has land rights in the Haldimand Tract. And they have an environmental plan they are implementing through their Haudenosaunee Development Institute. All development is screened. Some is stopped. The Haldimand Tract ... the Grand River valley ... was at sustainable capacity 15 years ago. In the Ontario "Places to Grow" plan, the development skips the 'greenbelt' and paves and overpopulates the Grand River valley. It is simply not sustainable. And it is not going to happen. We all owe a great debt to Six Nations for having the courage to stop the sprawl development on the greenfields. And most recently, along with local residents, stopping the dumping of toxic trash near the Grand River too. Of course, Toronto still has to figure out what to do with its garbage, but it won't be dumped there!
  15. History can be rewritten, if we listen and ... yes ... record, as is our custom. It is happening. The history of the Iroquois Nations here in Ontario ... is presented in the tone of the decimation of the Huron (Iroquois) by the Six Nations (Iroquois). It is a key historical pivot, intentionally twisted by politics and religion ... written as history ... into a wedge among all peoples ... settlers ... Haudenosaunee/Six Nations ... other Iroquois Nations (Huron, Neutral, Petun, ... others dispersed), Ojibwa/Anishnabeg... The Canadian fed myth is that Six Nations are aggressors against their own people, bluntly put. I grew up with that myth, in the land of the "Hurons" who weren't there anymore. It was always told as "supposedly" this is what happened ... "supposedly" meaning 'according to the government'. ("shh" ... the things that we weren't told ... right. ) The 'Hurons' (Fr - savages) are the Wendat (Wyandotte in the states, I believe). I know the Haudenosaunee Six Nations people, and one of their Elders is Wendat. I know who the aggressors were, and it was not the Indigenous Nations. The Hurons, etc were already decimated by smallpox. 20,00 of 30,000 already dead. All of the communities were consolidating because they all experienced similar death rates ... after the blankets were distributed. ("Records" ... phooey ... ask an Elder) They were also attempting to get the land back that had been usurped by the Jesuits ... the Catholic church. They burned churches from Ohsweken to Midland, and yes they attacked the aboriginal 'converts' too, because that is who the Jesuits were using as dupes to steal the land. You see, the purpose of the missionaries, Catholic and Protestant but the Jesuits were the first, was to kill-or-convert the Indigenous people and steal the land "for god and the queenking" or some such crap. It was (Hurons) Wendat who asked for help from the Haudenosaunee, their Iroquois relatives: The remaining Hurons dispersed along clan lines, and two clans are now Haudenosuanee (Six Nations). I also know that thousands of Wendat people have gathered near my childhood beaches, on sacred ground. They are still here. Thanks for the opportunity to set the record straight. Thousands ... millions ... of Canadian schoolchildren and former schoolchildren need to know this truth.
  16. Update: NO trash trucks have entered the site since Haldimand and Six Nations residents blockaded it last Friday. NO Toronto trash dumped in Cayuga: It went to Michigan as usual. NO media have caught on to this story either, other than local.
  17. EURO-MYTH CRAPOLA!! "KNOWN" by whom? People know. They just weren't 'euro' ... so their stories didn't make the history books. Again I ask: You don't really believe that euro-crap genocide cover-up shyte that passes for Canadian history, do you? Give it a rest ken. No one is that naive.
  18. Five years in the making, the Henry Report found the university has a hard time retaining qualified faculty who are either aboriginal or from a visible minority group and that students, faculty and administrators all play a role in a culture of "whiteness and maleness" at Queen's. It isn't about hiring ... it is about keeping them. The Queens 'culture' doesn't encourage them to stay.
  19. That's the euro-myth, created to pretend we weren't committing genocide. The Hurons, etc were already decimated by smallpox. 20,00 of 30,000 already dead. All of the communities were consolidating because they all experienced similar death rates ... after the blankets were distributed. They were also attempting to get the land back that had been usurped by the Jesuits ... the Catholic church. They burned churches from Ohsweken to Midland, and yes they attacked the aboriginal 'converts' too, because that is who the Jesuits were using as dupes to steal the land. You see, the purpose of the missionaries, Catholic and Protestant, but the Jesuits were the first, was to kill-or-convert the Indigenous people and steal the land "for god and the king" or some such crap. It was Hurons who asked for help from the Haudenosaunee, their Iroquois relatives. The Hurons split along clan lines, and two clans are now Haudenosuanee (Six Nations). Get your blinders off. You don't seriously believe that euro-crap they fed us do you? As for crime ... find a comparable community of similar socio-economic characteristics, please - eg, employment rates.
  20. mlw should fly the proper flag to identify its political leanings.
  21. Interesting example ... since the federal contractors are the ones who have too often located reserve sewage upstream from their water. Why do you think the feds would do that 'moxie anti-native' ? HMMMM??? (Hint ... starts with G, means MASS MURDER)
  22. Like I said ... the greedy only understand greed. thanks for proving my point.
