Actually I was , and my father and uncle were as well. In fact my uncle was the Regimental Sargent Major of Gagetown NB ,Chief Warrant Officer wild Bill Shavluk. A lot got me drunk when i took a surveyor course there. I was going to be one of the first with the P 109's They both had thought it very important to do time in the military having lived through the Ukrainian Holocaust , that had cost my family every thing and everyone besides them and my grandfather who was a hero of the ukrainian freedom fighters. You sir as air force ,,,and I will keep my jokes out of it ,Mr Safe (except for that and the fact that to die in the air-force is usually from falling out of bed) and give you the respect you deserve. hahhaha The other fellow who commented made no sense and has no right to belittle my full military service to Canada. I did not even mention my 7 years of Naval reserves before I joined as a military policemen. Again thanks for taking the time. I am sure what I say will sink in with some of you and the rest ,well I am sorry but you really don't matter.

After the next election you will be able to slam people who don't vote fascist like you. Til then give respect to peoples choices,, as you are no one oh and thanks for your comments even if they are toxic -
The Upcoming Election- Who wants to Run for the.......
shavluk replied to M.Dancer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The 2% is set in the governments own election rules To attain 2% qualifies parties for the $1.75 they get for each vote garnered This is now the rule for federal tax payer funding which the Greens reached by getting 4.5 % of the vote. Chretien did change the rules for the better almost as a preparation to proportional representation by limiting funding so corporations can not control parties nor unions Its great and rewarding to parties that reach the 2% threshold. Some of you guys really blow me away as there is no need for this ignorance or drama. Thanks for your comments anyway. -
I ask all of you ???? What regiment did you serve your country in? If no one answers again I will assume none of you did. And any thing else you say will be meaningless after your comments.

Your entertainment is not my concern and it is only you belittling our brave servicemen deaths. They die needlessly , that's why it is a waste. There are alternatives. The blue beret is a UN designation we wore for almost 30 years as we were always peace keepers first and foremost. I am a combat arms trained regimental marksmen from 2 RCHA I have my veterans plate because of my honorable discharge. What was your service to Canada???????? What regiment were you in Sgt Rock?

Are you familiar with the opiate problem in Turkey that was settled by licensing the farmers in 1972? This war is a complete waste of lives and money. They live in a opium economy as children buy a cola with one gram as cash , that's the facts. This is about a sane view and your wrong plain and simple. The Taliban and the farmers are the same people. 63 Canadians dead in the last 2 years for nothing probably more than 700 amputees for nothing thousands dead for nothing so what you say like they didn't matter? ok how many more do you think will be killed before what i say will happen ,,happens? i say again its kind of poetic that we have Canadian soldiers being forced to quietly die by"" laying down in fields of poppies"",,,, again i had given this same scenario to layton and steven lewis personally in Quebec city September 7 2006 ! Posted: Wed Feb 28, 2007 6:56 pm Post subject: Sell Afghan poppies for medicine -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The ndp were the first to be given this strategy and now have lost it. I spoke to Steven Lewis and many others in Quebec city about it. I believe they dropped the ball badly here. The GREENS and now the liberals are on board , maybe if we make sure the Afghans don't have ATM charges Jack will now pipe up. Sell Afghan poppies for medicine: Dion Dion wants Ottawa to back pilot project to turn opium into medicinal painkillers Feb 23, 2007 04:30 AM bruce campion-smith ottawa bureau OTTAWA–Canada should back a pilot project to market Afghanistan's opium production – blamed for fuelling a deadly insurgency – as legal medicinal painkillers, Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion says. In a major foreign policy speech yesterday, Dion called for a new strategy for the Afghan mission to put a greater focus on diplomacy and development. And one key plank is a plan to cope with the country's poppy crop, which has become a mainstay of the economy. "If we do not start to think creatively about the problem of the drug economy, the situation will never get better," Dion said in a text of his Montreal speech. Dion said Canada should help fund a project proposed by the Senlis Council, an international security and development policy think-tank, to license poppy crops for use as codeine and morphine in the developing world. "Such a licensed cultivation would ... offer farmers a real and profitable alternative to the heroin trade," he said. Dion, who also urged a crackdown on illegal processing labs, later conceded the drug strategy is not a sure bet. "I know it is very risky what they are proposing. I am not naive. But what is not risky in Afghanistan? We need to try this risk and see the result," Dion said in an interview after his noon-hour speech. During an Ottawa visit last September, Afghan President Hamid Karzai warned that the "menace" of narcotics was as serious a threat as terrorism and could undermine the country's economic progress. "If we do not destroy poppies in Afghanistan, poppies will destroy us," Karzai said. Current efforts to eradicate the poppy crop have been controversial since destitute farmers are often left with no income to support their families. In addition to tackling the drug trade, Dion said Canada must do more to ensure Afghans get necessary vaccinations. And he said the country needs help to rebuild irrigation networks destroyed in decades of violence. In his speech, Dion said a Liberal government would withdraw Canada's 2,500 troops from Kandahar in 2009, but left the door open for soldiers to go elsewhere in the country. "I will say unequivocally that a Liberal government led by me will not extend Canada's combat mission in Kandahar beyond February 2009," Dion said. "We need a new government that will be able to say very clearly `Yes, we end the mission in 2009 ... help us in the meantime and we need a country to replace us because we are serious,'" he said in the interview. The federal Conservatives have yet to say what Canada's role might be in Afghanistan after the current military commitment ends in February 2009. Noting that just 20 per cent of Canada's aid funding is being spent in Kandahar, Dion said a Liberal government would push for a "real effort to win the hearts and minds of Afghans. "It is very difficult to keep the confidence of the population if they don't identify the Canadian forces with improvement for the quality of life," he said. http://www.thestar.com/News/article/184984

The Upcoming Election- Who wants to Run for the.......
shavluk replied to M.Dancer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why should Ms May be in the debate? besides the fact that all federal parties who get federal tax payer money should,,,and you can tell me i am sure how many do and who qualifies and why ,,right? yeah i didn't think so,,,, anyhooo ,,, here you go ,,, fetch ,,hahhahhhaha come on we are here bringing you guys some excitement don't take anything toooooooo seriously as far as the jabs as you guys have been dishing them out left ,right , right , right and center. here goes, In the 1988 federal election the Bloc Quebecois did not exist. Gilles Duceppe was elected in a by-election two years later as an independent, not as a Bloc candidate. Despite having no seats in Parliament, no official recognition from the Speaker and only 75 candidates out of 295 ridings, the Bloc Quebecois was included in both the French and English debates. The Bloc has never fielded a candidate outside Quebec but continues to participate in debates in both official languages. In the 1988 general election, the Reform Party ran 72 candidates, received 276,000 votes and won no seats. By the time of the 1993 election, the Reform Party’s only sitting member was Deborah Grey following her win in a 1989 by-election. Reform did not have Official Party status and did not win a seat in the 1988 election but Preston Manning participated in the 1993 leaders’ debate, based on the 11,154 votes Deborah Grey received in a 1989 by-election with a 47 per cent turnout. In 1993, the party ran only 207 candidates. In 2004 and 2006, the Green Party ran a full slate of 308 candidates and won 583,000 and 664,000 votes respectively, over double the Reform Party’s performance in 1988. In 1979, the Social Credit Party was excluded from the debate despite the fact that it had 11 seats in Parliament at the time of dissolution. And in 1997, both the NDP and Progressive Conservatives were included in the debate despite not having Official Party status. In 1993, 1997 and 2000 five leaders participated in the televised debates. This was reduced to four following the merger of the Canadian Alliance and the Progressive Conservatives in 2003. Fair play, democratic equity and precedent demands that a fifth spot now be opened for a new national leader to join the debate. Five parties received over 2 per cent of the vote in 2004 and 2006 and all five should appear in the next leaders’ debate. so um ,,,,,,,, you were saying ??? oh and thanks for the comments and the complementary thread / advertisement ,,,why you are a GREEN aren't you??? you really are growing on me,,,,, hahhahhhaha again thanks for the plug ,,,plug -
my response to Afghanistan I would have them (our Canadian military) stay and then I would tell the Afghans that Canada will start buying poppies from all farmers who register with us and put away their guns. Hillier would be shelved and all personnel given Blue berets like they used to wear. I would also promise the Afghans to use our forces, if need be, only to stop any other country or multinational corporation from building a natural gas pipeline through their country with out a negotiated fee structure. I would also turn back the tanks(Hillier's toys for small minded little boys) that we don't need and buy road building equipment and the equipment needed for things like schools and hospitals. I would use the other 80% for rebuilding the country. It will be this way when it is finally over and it will be shown that all of our brave boys deaths have been a waste. I am ex-Canadian army , just in case some of you think me not versed in death and what is really going on over there.

There you go another post number for you. I hope coat tailing on my thread to increase your meaningless post count is OK with your fans. hahhaha And I guess you are right he cancels someones conservative vote. As I am not some anonymous windbag here like some others as shavluk is my real name I will just continue to be a source of entertainment for you small dead animal assimilating methane producing bags of flesh. Oh and thanks for the comments.

Just made a post to you in another thread. Thanks for yours here and good to hear from you.

Hi Tbud and welcome. I knew a good person with that name at another site. I should point out here that with some with higher post numbers here some have become increasingly dense , anti-human rights based and developed a tinge of bigotry. Be careful. I have been witness to blatant stupidity here as well. They like to belittle any one with an opinion because they think post numbers means some thing which you and I both know means nothing. We have thousands behind us as well. Could just be small minded children playing with moms boyfriends computer or more likely just conservatives. We of the new group I sense moving in here now will I am sure help others retire their old jerseys , jerkys and maybe grow up a bit. Watch how they respond to my simple welcome to you unless they have learned already that I don't care what they think. I actually have them growing on me and I have pledged to address their short comings with my usual zest. Welcome

Tired of the Same Old? Why not Green?
shavluk replied to MattWC's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Which province? And Hi Matt. I decided to post some Green things as well here. We will do well in this next election because of so many elections in a relatively short period of time as people are beginning to remember some of the horrible mistakes the bigger parties have produced. The Greens have no such baggage and in my view deserve to help change this country. Any way I will help with your educational efforts to the members here , if I can and if I am not in the way? -
*******Dude, in one of the legions of your posts in this short thread, you promised us you would rest your case. Please, please, please you can start resting it anytime now. Say, here's an idea. Why don't you smoke a few joints then come up with a topic that sounds really good to you to start thread on. Then repeat yourself over and over again, telling whoppers about George Washington and how you used to have a cancerous lump on your leg but after rubbing potash on it for one week it WAS GONE!!!! *****--- quote Sorry , I am not going anywhere until after the election or when one of you whines enough to get me banned just to confirm you don't have the skills to debate me sanely here. But thanks again for the comments. Maybe re-read your own post and see if it does make any sense to you. A drinker by chance? As far as the past and Washington , Jefferson and Paul Revere ,well you can educate yourself some time. You don't seem the type to really care if cannabis was always legal and that everything was made out of it or could use it. The diesel engine was invented to run on it, ford built indestructible model T's with plastics from hemp and even money was printed on it. Stay in the dark and pretend your views don't hurt anyone, they do. As far as the cancer thing I would try it in a heart beat and probably so would you.

He like many confuse issues of prohibition with issues of drug use. The prohibition itself is the problem ,,it is the cause of the violence ,the guns , the gangs , enticing corrupt cops etc , etc. Its not the other way around. Thank you for the assist from you intelligent open minded freedom oriented citizens. Its because of people like you that I must continue my passionate pursuit of justice in many issues. I am also a member of L.E.A.P. Maybe watch this from police who started this organization because of their great common sense and actually because of our work here with the marijuana party in B.C. http://www.leap.cc/cms/index.php?name=Web_...sit&lid=108 http://www.leap.cc/cms/index.php?name=Web_...sit&lid=109 Again thanks for the comments. juror.ca

GREENS SAY !Legalize and commercialize the Afghan poppy crop http://www.greenparty.ca/en/releases/08.29.2007 Its the right policy ! GREEN for a return to sane government policy ! indepth for you serious activists!!! http://www.greenparty.ca/en/policy/documents/P4M well worth the read !!! JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED IT !!

From your post it is pretty obvious you have not read about what actually happened to me and as such what I say , well maybe it wont register. I am appealing to the people who DO know of at least this struggle right now and when I know I have all 4 million of the cannabis users in this country voting GREEN why then I will relax as things will soon be right as rain and I can relax. You of course can stand up and help with the many other problems out there as I am sure you are ,right? Again thank you all for your comments and I really appreciate each of you taking the time. I type with 2 fingers and it takes time as I am also building a marina and marine store as well as this political work As I said I could put buckets of heroin and cocaine on every street corner and only the same weak people will touch it ,,why spend billions arming paramilitary police and jailing average citizens. WHY??? We all should realize that there has never been a prison built,,NEVER where they didn't discover illegal drugs in NONE!!!! How then are we going to keep them off the street? Lets at least make sure we have a clean crime less supply and deal with the drug problem for what it really is. I have seen crime spray RAID insecticide on cannabis , as they don't care about high school kids lungs or lives. RE-Legalize and stop the insanity just for your own children who are smoking it. Here's one for you people that don't know that the only 2 governments (Australia and Britain)who ever actually studied the cannabis issue found out that you actually drive better on cannaibis than you do sober and alcohol , hahhahaha. I know no one should drive under the influence of anything but this will dispel some of the crap they try to spew. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLmHL7YznUI...ddriving%2Ehtml paid for by the society for human intelligence by the year 3000 committee

A 26 ounce bottle of alcohol under prohibition would today cost $200 dollars and some people would die from impurities in it or from crimes greed of Wood alcohol sales,, remember? Now !!! Some here are going to argue that alcohol is safer illegal !! hahhahhahhahhahhaha I rest my case on the point of arguing with all here. Thank You to you , the wise citizens who DID see through the obvious policemen here. Sadly the forces against re-legalizing cannabis are very powerful , they almost killed me once Sadly its mostly from tax dollars. Rosgo had zero cannabis in his blood , you are a cop go get this info yourself. And as you know it stays in your system for months ,,,he had plenty of Booze though as you probably know. No he wasn't using cannabis sadly or he would have been a different man. Guess what though !! The RCMP D.A.R.E (sit in schools and lie to school children)program instructor from here in B.C. that died a couple of years ago turned out to be full of heroin and cocaine!!!!!!!!!! It took months for them to release this information. Your comments come from a place that for me doesn't even exist and I don't plan on wasting any more time on you geoffrey I have thousands who will cancel your vote. You should smoke some as you have lost touch with humanity in my humble opinion. I am helping direct this policy for obvious reasons but I have many skills and qualifications. I am working on CO2 recapture with one of the only plants that doesn't rot in cement and actually petrifies. I am working with solar cells, inverters and clean energy production. I believe decentralization ,,a solar cell and inverter in every house , instead of the current model is again the obvious way to go. Lets just make it only one grocery store shall we and we can all get our groceries from Ontario hydro, hahaha I am also an ex Revenue Canada Tax Manager (legal and licensing officer) so I also believe in Tax reform (flat tax) So much more. What problem would you like to discuss? Right now with having personally spoken to people who were supposed to be dead from cancer and tumours and instead they have now been cured just from drinking hemp oil and thriving ,,well I am sorry but to me it is important just when you consider what we spend on cancer in this country. Get this ! the Canadian cancer society wrote back to us and said thanks BUT WE SPEND ZERO DOLLARS ON NATURAL REMEDIES FOR CANCER !!!!! Think about that one. I will pursue this no matter what some like you think. I can also see the billions of dollars in Green technologies. It takes courage and intelligence as well as taking responsibility. My style? Some people quite frankly are so damaged that to pander to them is not possible to me ,elections be damned. My Mom was the first female licensed Bailiff in Canada and I was raised that if your word was worth nothing than so were you. Any hoooo if my manner is a bit crusty I do apologize , that is not my intent. A rape of my kind does cause after effects. My friends call me shrek and if you had walked in my shoes and gone through what I have you to may be a little intense yourself. My goal is reforming the complete justice environment obviously and I have no problem locking up violent offenders or lost causes. I believe if something doesn't work you remove it and the vacuum created will provide new choices. The rapist molesting judge who recently applied for parole after only 3 years of only a 7 year sentence should never get out , in my view considering I know of people who served 7 years just for a joint Oh and by the by, The legal price of cannabis (what the Canadian government sells it for NOW!) is $5.35 a gram I will take what you have of yours that you want to sell as even that is cheaper than I can find. I will just grow my own as it isn't about the right to get high ,, it is quality of life without fear of persecution to citizens that is my goal. Sadly it is just a form of racism and bigotry worsening as long as the harpercrits stay with any power , their policies are wrong ,cost too much and frankly are an affront to a Canadian Military Veteran like myself! mdancer by miserable I mean their general existence ( based on my years of studying psychology) as their demeanour demonstrates a complete lack of respect for their fellow citizens thoughts ,rights and dissections , for example. I wish no one harm,,far from it. The simple fact of all of it is I was a millionaire real-estate broker/developer/entrepreneur in Saskatoon who in 1991 was set up , framed , bankrupted and finally jailed ,by a police officer who was himself charged for raping little children in Martinsville, sask in 1992 I did not see my children for 2 years!!! All over 8 grams of cannabis I had zero to do with. Its all out there and I fear no one or any man , not any more. I was threatened twice by the biker groups but you know what ?? I was threatened more by police Yes ,when I ran in the last 2 BC provincial elections for the marijuana party Fat people will eventually fill the jails under the leadership of the people who have caused the current problems we all pay for and deal with now. I have seen the cause of the problems and I will stand and help solve them. And thank you for your comments. I will stop responding to obvious dog eat dog conservatives as I am no masochist.
-
Kind of poetic for me as I am from Saskatoon and my framing by police happened there. also someone just did 62 days in Jail there just for handing someone else their own cannabis cigarette back!!! I think they run that fantasy story monthly don't they? Oh lets see do I cut and paste one of the dozen letters to the editor?? The usual response?,hmmmm This is so old I was in Baghdad when I heard it the first time and you were in dads,,,,,,eh what for,,, I cant even go be bothered for you. A mind is a terrible thing to waste but so is my time and today I have given all I can. Thanks but again my rule of avoiding toxic substances keeps coming up. I will hold my nose. Most that get this disease have never actually seen cannabis ,,, Sherlocke And just about all of them have drank alcohol or milk or water And 100% live in the same chemical filled cesspool we all do. Human breast milk is now not fit for human consumption ,,,,,,think about that for a minute ,,,please. Some don't need to do anything and yet the disease still finds them And if you are now !!!! telling me we actually should jail these people just to save their health ,,,,,,,why hahhahaha Why ,,, I will just have to paste a ton of yuks just for you as a special treat for my own passion. But really common sense is another of my traits so,,,, thanks for the comments,, maybe another time.
-
No ,, they will come from the smart. Thanks but I have to be me and I am quite comfortable in my own skin , unlike some others. Maybe just to bring you up to speed as its been 16 long years for me and maybe yes my bedside manor is a little rusty. Maybe check the date on one of these others ,how about this one ,,, http://enmasse.ca/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6965&start=0 There are a few others there as well that explain my stance. On that one I did explain coming in second for the presidency of the federal ndp last September only as a way of explaining their hypocracy and laytons and his lies as well as stand up with a proper direction to them. One they have been trying to get the guts to actually have since 1972. My supporters are very happy my word means something. I am not trying to be your best friend I am just trying to quadruple the effectiveness of your police over night , remove billions from crime , save you $20,000 when your child does get caught with this harmless substance 4 million Canadians have tried and save over one third of your annual taxes. What do I know , maybe you aren't worth it. But then again I used to warn people about a drug called Chrystal meth that these days has its own press. By the By if you could smoke Ritalin (prescribed by the ton in Canada to children) It would then have be called Chrystal meth. Almost the same formula sadly. What do you think these kids will be like grown up? Hey ! By the way its now 71 dead needless Canadians in Afghanistan as the drug war rages there. 8 people killed for Canada in the first 5 years with no war and 63 in the last 2 with Sadly they don't tell you that with these new flack jackets soldiers have to wear now ,,,, it gives less dead numbers Great for the generals and their media It also means we have close to 700 soldiers missing arms and legs that will never be talked about. The Americans have 3000 dead in Iraq and yet over 28,000 amputees they don't want anyone to know about. The most since the civil war (in Vietnam most of these 28000 would have died) I also explained to Steven Lewis and jack layton how to stop all this needless death the drug war has now brought to Afghanistan. Read it as Canadians do matter. And thanks for responding.
-
No , I would say its probable just because he is a warm blooded human and not cold blooded like a shark. I bet you have sucked back a sharks record of alcohol ,in your time? as it seems to show in your demeanor. You a cop? And thanks for your comments.
-
Maybe some one could translate this for me. If you are saying it is US results , I know that. We cant get the numbers here but based on our information and previous data I would say here it would have been 80,000 We also have 800,000 ex-pow from jails in Canada for cannabis. I will do what I want where I want ,thank you. But thanks for your comments.
-
Yes actually we do as it was always legal until 1923 , in fact George Washington and his pals smoked it every day(as most colonists did) ,in fact most did for thousands of years in India (still do)and in fact it was the law to grow it in the good ol USof A until the racist reasons for the law stopped it. So much dis information is constantly spewed from the bully crowd. In BC all GROW OP BUSTER TEAMS are only the senior union members and they all double their incomes as grow ops are done on over time. Like winning the lottery. Many are fearful their union jobs only will qualify them for McDonald's when I re-legalize cannabis ,,,,,so I understand. What is being spewed here by these detractors is their usual day to day poison , I am sure as they are in my mind ,extinct DNA and as such just don't know that. Don't get mad at them. Pity them. I am sure if I searched here they would also be the ones against gay marriage or women's rights etc etc. Just take your toys home and sulk. Good boy ,,really (I know you didnt hear that enough) Sadly its these types who in fact benefit the most when they actually try cannabis. Or are the way they are because their job would be jeopardized if they tried it and are just whining. I don't even pay attention to the type as I am Green and I limit my exposure to toxic substances. But thanks for your comments.

You talk about health care. How do you think I feel? Sent: Sunday, September 16, 2007 1:52 PM To Rick Simpson Subject: my mom and her needless death I just read Jims incredible storey. As I have the many others over the years. http://www.phoenixtears.ca/jcj.html JIM’S CANCER JOURNEY (complete page http://www.phoenixtears.ca/ ) You know I am and have been following your work for a long time. This storey was different for me as it struck closer to home. I just tried for months with my conservative mother to educate her with and about your work , all , to no avail. Of course reading Jims storey took me back to her exact circumstances. I even took her canna butter rice crispy squares and only told her boyfriend about what was in them. Nada ,zip no way would she even talk about it,, The boyfriend , well ,,he had caved , obviously. I tried personally with her as she was fading fast and following very poor advise of a part time medical practitioner, again a waste of time and resulted in an argument. My mother because of her political beliefs, and "the laws the law" just wouldn't listen , sadly. The criminality of cannabis ,and the denial of its many , many benefits ,,helped to kill my Mom ,,,,, needlessly ! Strange how the cancer rates go hand in hand with the prohibition of natural remedies. August 27 2007 - Louise Moody died at age 70. As I said ,,great job you guys and I thank you. I will spread this like all the rest. Any chance of yes ,getting a link to these people personally so that I may really get it out there with confidence and to ,and no disrespect intended but I had to learn early on to always have all of my proofs as I get called on what I say as a Green federal candidate , all the time. I would like more information anyway re: this case and now I MUST really get this out there just so that every one I do care about actually is fully armed with this knowledge as cancer continues to be an epidemic in this country and we are being lied to and spoon feed our medical choices as they play with our very lives. Their political beliefs aside for a minute. I want to get involved more with this particular case, and it must be told. Please send what you can. Cheers always , I pray your court case raises enough awareness to end this ridiculous waste of this knowledge and more the needless deaths. I am sending it out as well to people who really should at least know about this. john @ 604 930 5059 juror.ca [email protected] some have had to put it right in their browser as it has gremlins trying to stop the hits !!! This guy is fighting for citizens lives in court right now! IT IS A SHAME WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS RESEARCH !! Much more to this for years !!!
-
hhahhahahhahahhhahahaa thank you Rudy giuliani Prove it ! You cant and everyone knows it The facts are out there and its pretty obvious to me and people like me that you are a conservative redneck in your view. Cannabis had nothing to do with Mayerthorpe and wasn't even discovered until the RCMP illegally entered the rosgo farm And as all of us enlightened people realize Rosgo certainly wasn't smoking what was growing at his farm ,,,without a doubt !!! Or the disaster never would have happened. With the new policies SOON coming from the harpercrits I would imagine there will actually be some cannabis related shootings as they will make cannabis cost more and be more profitable to crime. Stupid policy wait and see! Machine gun fights at schools ,,oh yeah we already had that. 80 dead Indo Canadians over drug turf ,oh yeah already have that. I am glad a guy like you shows his true color and show that you have no problem paying $150,000 a year to jail some one for a victimless crime and yet not the $10,000 for affordable housing or the $20,000 for a decent education. You are a deep guy ,eh? No point in responding to extinct DNA here for me as I know I wont get your vote Neither did the slavery abolitionist's , I and many others are sure , now. My gains will come from the non voters the down trodden and the disenfranchised who will rise up and put people like you back in your miserable place. oh and thanks for your comments

Show me the bodies Mr conservative, yes you do have a policy as well dont you Jail , Abuse and MORE CRIME and Death Please show any obituary of some one who died because of cannabis use. Alcohol is by far safer LEGAL ! yes or no? Lets see how ignorant you may be. No I stand by my words and stand by my fellow citizens even against the bigotry and abuse I am already dealing with day to day. Here is something that if we COULD get our own records would show you how stupid what is happening here is headed for. Marijuana Arrests For Year 2006 – 829,625 Tops Record High...Nearly 15 Percent Increase Over 2005 September 24, 2007 - Washington, DC, USA Washington, DC: Police arrested a record 829,625 persons for marijuana violations in 2006, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation's annual Uniform Crime Report, released today. This is the largest total number of annual arrests for pot ever recorded by the FBI. Marijuana arrests now comprise nearly 44 percent of all drug arrests in the United States. "These numbers belie the myth that police do not target and arrest minor marijuana offenders," said NORML Executive Director Allen St. Pierre, who noted that at current rates, a marijuana smoker is arrested every 38 seconds in America. "This effort is a tremendous waste of criminal justice resources that diverts law enforcement personnel away from focusing on serious and violent crime, including the war on terrorism." Of those charged with marijuana violations, approximately 89 percent some 738,915 Americans were charged with possession only. The remaining 90,710 individuals were charged with "sale/manufacture," a category that includes all cultivation offenses even those where the marijuana was being grown for personal or medical use. In past years, roughly 30 percent of those arrested were age 19 or younger. "Present policies have done little if anything to decrease marijuana's availability or dissuade youth from trying it," St. Pierre said, noting young people in the U.S. now frequently report that they have easier access to pot than alcohol or tobacco. “Two other major points standout from today’s record marijuana arrests: Overall, there has been a dramatic 188 percent increase in marijuana arrests in the last 15 years -- yet the public's access to pot remains largely unfettered and the self-reported use of cannabis remains largely unchanged. Second, America’s Midwest is decidedly the hotbed for marijuana-related arrests with 57 percent of all marijuana-related arrests. The region of America with the least amount of marijuana-related arrests is the West with 30 percent. This latter result is arguably a testament to the passage of various state and local decriminalization efforts over the past several years.” The total number of marijuana arrests in the U.S. for 2006 far exceeded the total number of arrests in the U.S. for all violent crimes combined, including murder, manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault. Annual marijuana arrests have nearly tripled since the early 1990s. "Arresting hundreds of thousands of Americans who smoke marijuana responsibly needlessly destroys the lives of otherwise law abiding citizens," St. Pierre said, adding that over 8 million Americans have been arrested on marijuana charges in the past ten years. During this same time, arrests for cocaine and heroin have declined sharply, implying that increased enforcement of marijuana laws is being achieved at the expense of enforcing laws against the possession and trafficking of more dangerous drugs. St. Pierre concluded: "Enforcing marijuana prohibition costs taxpayers between $10 billion and $12 billion annually and has led to the arrest of nearly 20 million Americans. Nevertheless, some 94 million Americans acknowledge having used marijuana during their lives. It makes no sense to continue to treat nearly half of all Americans as criminals for their use of a substance that poses no greater - and arguably far fewer - health risks than alcohol or tobacco. A better and more sensible solution would be to tax and regulate cannabis in a manner similar to alcohol and tobacco."
