The latest I heard is that Doug Ford wants to pass a bill today giving so called enhanced legislative powers to police and municipalities to help find shelter and services for homeless people. So it looks like he is not even giving homeless people enough money to afford to even rent a basic room because on subsidy these days the income us about $500.00 a month short to be able to rent a basic room let alone have money left over for basic needs. This is aside from the careless and extremely radical federal flooding of Canada to the point where there are not even enough homes in Canada for the citizens of Canada, so despite the cost of renting being through the roof thanks to the mentally redundant federal liberals there are not enough places to rent for Canadian citizens here in Ontario. So is Doug Ford planning on doing the appropriate thing and deport illegal invaders (of which illegal invaders claiming refugee status Justin Trudeau pays them around $225.00 of Canadian tax dollars per day each) to make room for homeless citizens of which on subsidy are going to need an additional $500.00 per month to make ends meet? I myself, as a homeless person since June 3rd 2022 have had emphysema for 38 of my 53 years of being alive which means at times there is a seemingly endless flow of lung slime I have to get rid of otherwise I drown. I need my own private space which is why I myself live in a tent as opposed to seeking a shelter. Some people just can't stay in a shelter due to drug addictions as well other various reasons. So Doug Ford intending to evict homeless people from parks without assuring them of a place to go is like slitting their throats and why, because he values citizens with homes who blubber and whine about homeless encampments more than he values these poor citizens victimized by the radical Federal tyrannical agenda? Hey homeless citizens are not to blame for this, the citizen hating Federal government is primarily to blame for flooding the country along with their carbon crisis hoax tax scams and secondarily the Provincial government is to blame for not keeping illegal invaders out and not giving citizens on subsidy enough money to rent a basic room. It's hard enough to find a spot as a homeless person (I myself pitch my tent where I am alone and veer away from joining other encampments) then you have to find a place to get water and carry it every day. At times you get flooded, the weather can ware away at you (here in Owen Sound it's been raining and snowing every day for about six weeks and today I had to bail a two inch deep puddle with ice out of my tent. I find the Moisture inside winds up collecting where the walls meet the floor and anything touching gets damp even though I have venting in both at the front and rear of my tent while heating with a butane stove. When it snows, it really snows ... Grey County indeed. I was waiting for a nice day to air out and get rid of the dampness but now it's getting too cold. A raccoon opened my outer tarps to get in weeks ago and the rain soaked one of my insulating blankets weeks ago of which again it rains or snows every day for weeks now so even if we get a sunny day, I can't dry it if it is below zero so tough times yeah. Then you get those who ransack and steal from you and going anywhere can be stressful leaving your stuff behind.) At least in a park you usually have eyes all around thus likely detours ransacking etc. as I never got hit once living in Burlington Central Park next to the community garden for 3 months, I also didn't litter, use heavy drugs or bother anyone for anything. However living homeless in a tent especially in the colder weather is not a breeze and by far not a free ride.
