  1. And nothing will change!
  2. He is credited with considerably boosting the economy. That's a biggy!
  3. Wonder how long it will be before someone turns this into a conspircacy theory. The Russians did it!
  4. Not familiar with some of these Beatle songs but will download and give them a listen for sure.
  5. I love Dvorak's New World Symphony, Beethoven's 5th (used in Victory at Sea) and his 9th (Ode to Joy) all of Mozart's operas and everything else.
  6. Richards was pissed off at himself because his show was bombing and he knew it. He turned his anger at himself outwards in a vicious manner. The man was out of control and the whole scene was ugly. The "N" word represents violence and KKK. This would not be my idea of a fun time. Frankly, I found him to be the only one on Seinfeld that I didn't like. The Kramer character was childish. This is a good example of the idea that every successful actor inserts a part of his own character into the role he plays.
  7. Nothing Bush and gang does surprises me. But if this is true, then why do we now need passports to enter the U.S. and vice versa? Seems to me that they have tightened up the Canadian border. But then we won't pick cotton or fruit in Florida for $2 an hour, so why let us in willy nilly?
  8. I love classical music and spend many hours listening to Dvorak, Beethoven and Mozart. But you can't underestimate the genius of the Beatles just because it's rock & roll. Or Queen, or Supertramp, or Abba or many, many others who were so incredibly talented.
  9. Your math is better than you think!
  10. Chuck your name is very funny!
  11. Smoking is an addiction and there should be facilities available to help people kick the habit. Apparently, from what I've read, it is harder to kick than heroin. I know, I know, there aren't even enough dry out centres for drugs and alcholol let alone cigarettes. With all the big surpluses of money that the Government is hiding, they should spend some on addiction centres. That would be proactive in bringing down health care costs, decrease crime and help out kids who suffer as a result of addictions in the family environment.
  12. This is too extreme and a slippery slope. We may feel uncomfortable around women who wear them for reasons of equality or whatever. It is our individual right to ask someone to remove it in our presence but they should have the right to choose whether they do or not. We are offended when we hear of middle eastern countries that outlaw female western dress in public places for religious reasons. We think it's silly. In the west, "freedom" is our mantra and let's not forget that.
  13. Do you think that there should be a law banning smokng in homes of people who have children? This is putting kids at risk and especially babies.
  14. I remember hearing Sir Mack say nobody could replace Linda. Sadly, that has proved to be true!
  15. I don't trust anyone born after the beatles disbanded....... Yah! Beatles Rock! I'm 19, but I wish I was 60, so I could have grown up in the 60's and witness all that amazing 60's stuff, like Beatles, Hippy's, free love...I thought I could find the 60's at a Bob Dylan concert I was at last week, but the world even modernized him! Modern times are depressing...I envy you Frankie - I remember watching a "Hard Days Night" at a drive in movie with my girlfriends, screaming our heads off in the car. I remember having a great big poster of Paul McCartney on my bedroom wall. I remember getting the Beatles Twist & Shout album for my 17th birthday. I remember, I remember. Oh those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end! La La La La... Now you do the math!
  16. riiiiggghhhtttt, just how do they toss people in a patrol car, ask them. Also is she to walk around with her gun drawn all the time An attempt at a little humour here. There are many female police officers and they seem to be doing just fine. There has been the odd screw up in the past few years but the male cops screw up too, with a little too much brutality.
  17. A woman cop doesn't need strength, she's the one with the gun.
  18. I take it back - I can think of some things where exclusitivity for the sexes should exist. I don't believe in women invading men's clubs or sports dressing rooms, even if they are reporters. But if a man knows his stuff in a women's lingerie store, I have no problem with that one. If he's comfortable so am I. There are inate differences in the sexes and some things need to be recognized and respected. To me it's a matter of common sense and somehow we have lost that. In order to change things, it seems that we need to go to the extreme to get the point accross. Over time the pendulum swings to somewhere in the middle. As long as there is resistance, there will be extremes.
  19. And I think there are just some things that men and woman don't and shouldn't have equal opportunities to in order to preserve their gender qualities and characteristics. Frankie - could you elaborate on this statement please? I can't think of one thing that both sexes shouldn't be afforded equal opportunities to that would assist in preserving their gender qualities and characteristics - except of course, the bathroom when it needs cleaning.
  20. To me homosexuality is not a choice, it is a biological difference. Who in their right mind would CHOOSE a life style that has been condemed and deemed unacceptable by many in society? Who would CHOOSE a lifestyle that has had the capacity to render a person an outsider and create such unhappiness in their everyday lives? Prior to the last 30 years people HAD to live secret lives because they were born homosexual. That would have been a barrel of fun huh?
  21. You can get it on satellite and cable, you have to pay for it, it's not with the basic packages. I find that you hear more on Fox news that CBC would never tell you about. The left is bitching because they don't want people to hear all sides and don't have the media completely sewn up. I have Starchoice here in BC and it is included in my basic package. I have to 99 cents extra to receive MSNBC.
  22. I suspect that my providing you with a link will not enlighten you in any way as I'm sure that you are just as aware of the voter fraud allegations as I. But since you requested a link here is the one that I think is the most comprehensive. http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/104...election_stolen As there has been no formal investigation to date, it will be left up to Joe Public to have to rely on web sites, and the usual media talking heads who will argue back and forth about voter fraud. Now that the Dems have both the House and Senate I suspect and hope that we shall see an investigation at some point in the future, stay tuned!
  23. LOL, you're so right. Not only that, you're only one pay-cheque away from being homeless, America is a fascist theocracy, and there's gonna be a military draft. Gotta tackle those issues in a non-fearmongering way as well. I love it, because you agree with the outcome of the election, "American's have proven democracy works". Unless of course, people you disagree with politically win elections. Then I guess it doesn't. Too funny. Anyways, newsflash. America practices a better form of democracy then we do. Always has. It seemed that in the last two American elections there was so much fraud and because of this, democracy WAS at risk. I haven't heard anybody talk election fraud this time and perhaps that is because they knew the country would not sit down for it a third time. If the Republicans had won and there was no hint of fraud, that would also speak of a fair and balanced democracy at work. Yes, I admit it would not be my chosen desired outcome. But whatever is done fairly, honestly and by the people is democracy. There is overwhelming evidence that this was not the case in 2000 or 2004.
  24. The American's have proven that democracy works! The next time I hear the American Anthem when I'm watching hockey, this Canuck is gonna sing along!
  25. What policies do you like of Bush's? If you are hoping that the Republicans maintain the power, what do you think will change? How and why? Policies aren't created or decided by one man. The only way things will improve is to take the power away from the party.
