Toronto School Board eyes "Afro-centric" school
Higgly replied to g_bambino's topic in Local Politics in Canada
I don't get it. Faith based schools are a non-no (nous sommes bilingue, n'est-ce pas?) but race-based schools are OK? Ska-rue that! One system. Like it or leave it. BUT.... It ain't about policy. It's about staffing. The Ministry needs to get on board about how they select the staff for these schools and the OSSTF needs to link pinkies with them. There is a better way to deal with this than to start mouthing off about policy. -
Pakistanis feel hoodwinked, cheated by military ruler
Higgly replied to Kalp's topic in The Rest of the World
Exackly. Pakistan has had secular rule since partition. Can you see a country that is undergoing a revolution lead by lawyers giving itself up to religious zealots? I don't think so. Lucy, you got some 'splain' to do..... -
Here it is. These guys are our allies until we have something they want. That's when they become a bunch of mooks who want something for nothing. We pay for administration. We pay for cleanup. We pay for monitoring. We pay to populate the area. we pay for social programs. We pay for infrastructure. We pay for democratic process. They pay for gas. Arrange your thumb and forefinger at a right angle and put it up to your forehead. Hey American Woman (stay away from me-he-he), I'm still waiting for you to tell us all how the NWP is a strait. Sounds like another "they hate us for our freedom" deal to me. This is our country. Piss off.

Harper anxious about loonie's 'rapid' surge
Higgly replied to Leafless's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes it is. The US right is now starting to finally ackowledge its true motives in Iraq. This morning on PBS, panelists from the right wing hard talk forum, "McLaughlin Group" admitted by a majority that Iraq is all about oil. They've confessed to their adultery, but still haven't owned up to robbing the likker store. The markets are not amused. The title of this thread made me chuckle. If Harper were really concerned about the value of the loonie, he'd actually do something. He's only kissing a$$ for votes. -
Another pro-Israel troll fest.

Sure they could, but what would it look like in front of the entire world to see that the US "crushed us" after having one of their subs put down for violating our territorial space? Who will be their friend then? Even the Brits are backing away now.

I can see you are a student of history. There was indeed a big reaction in the US over this kid who was convicted of vandalizing cars. Good for you. Welcome to MapleLeafWeb. -

Nobody is saying they are. And I have not only read the pamphlet, I have lived it. Wait until some poor bugger comes up here and gets railroaded like a number of men have been up here. What are you gonna say when it shows up on 60 Minites? -

I agree. I think that we need to do is enact in Canada a law which says that Americans who come to Canada and get accused of murder should be subject to the death penalty and everybody else should be treated as per Canadian law. How's that sound? -
Still no research. I rest my case.

Well no. The lesson is don't be accused of murder down there. In the cracker states, to be accused is pretty much to be guilty. -

Like I have said in another post. I have yet to seee any evidence in any of your posts that shows you have ever done any reading into the subject at hand. And you are not my friend.

No. The Lesson from all of this is that the next time you're in Texas, don't let somebody who is important think that you can lighten their case load by looking like you might have committed murder. -

How you spell is like how you dress. Good spelling, like proper dress, is a sign of respect for those you engage.
