  1. Just because companies are promising to invest huge amounts in the US doesn't mean they will. And some of this goes on all the time anyway. But building factories , moving production - these things take years. Trump's only got 3 1/2 (we hope). So the can placate him now, let him brag about it, then do what's in their best interest later. Taiwan in particular was smart to do this - they might need US protection soon.
  2. You are retarded or just pretending. Reread my post. Take your time. Use your finger to help understand the big words. On second thought don't use your finger - we don't know where that's been. I didn't say those things are new ( I mean, it's PeePee we're talking about. Nothing new to see here.) I said those are the things they're both saying and doing now. They remind me of this pair from Looney Tunes :
  3. In the last couple of days, Poilevre has been sounding more like Trump than ever: "Defund the CBC" = "Defund PBS", "three strikes you're out = "send American criminals to other countries". Keep journalists off the plane = Kick journalists out of the pool. It's like they've got the same playbook.
  4. If that's the case, then only a few who need it will get coverage and it won't cost that much.
  5. About 10 tears back my brother and I worked for a guy who refused to pay us. We went to the prov. labour board, and after investigating they froze his account and took out enough to pay us plus some extra for our troubles. Lots of possible reasons for the govt. to do this.
  6. A 'stable Genius' is one who can count by stamping his hoof 4 times.
  7. Aw, come on! I didn't make the list? How will I hold my head up in the Lefty lunchroom?
  8. I can't decide if you're unable to read well, if you're just stupid, or completely ignorant by choice. All the clues I've given you and you're too dumb to figure it out. If you ever go to court, for God's sake DON"T represent yourself! What's the point? I've cited reliable, bi-partisan sources before and you choose to ignore them because they refute your dogma. As I keep saying: You are an amphigory: Amphigory Noun: a nonsense verse or composition : a rigmarole with apparent meaning which proves to be meaningless Merriam-Webster
  9. Another point about age differences, habits and biases. Young people are far more susceptible and likely to agree with their peer's opinions, to fit in. Older folks, especially retired ones with enough money to get by, no longer give much of a shit about 'What other people think." And that's wisdom.
  10. I looked up hubris - there was a picture of you. You being only 5'2" explains a lot. And your assumptions show an embarrassing lack of intelligence. "As think as you are"? So you're just spouting off into the mic on your device without thinking first or reading your own words before you post. Either that or you're a really bad bot. Exactly. Those 20 year olds are the misinformed I was talking about. Did you not get that or just have a pathological need to 'Mansplain" every thing to make yourself feel superior? Mirror, mirror... As I said before: Data is not knowledge, knowledge is not wisdom Ain't that quaint? And the Waltons listened to Lum and Abner. My parents had habits too, but they knew a d*ckhead like PeePee when they saw one. And I know one when I read his bullsh*t opinions
  11. You mean people who get all their info from their phones. In my experience (knowing and working with a lot of people of all ages) these phone educated people are the most ignorant and naive, most susceptible to fallacious arguments, lies and conspiracies. And btw, your disdain for older people (you seem to think they are the gullible, naive ones) is wrong and insulting. Wisdom trumps the barrage of suspect info flowing through the online media sewers.
  12. I thought that too at first, but now I don't believe the debates will matter much. People are mostly locked in, Quebec will be forgiving of Carney's French, Quebecers won't switch over to Poilevre or Singh, maybe the Bloc gets a small bump... And outside of the west, Poilevre is not going to be the majority choice. If he were to be, it would have shown by now. Unfortunately for the Cons, he's a one-trick pony.
  13. Look it up. He funded the CBC every year in office. A lie doesn't become the truth just because you keep repeating it.
