Please elaborate.... The whole point of NATO is a mandate to join with like-minded countries to counter Russian aggression. Do you even know anything about NATO? Again, you are a trailtor, who is more sympathetic to an organization who has done more for peace in North America and Europe, than beliggerant nation that attacks it's weaker neighbours, and commits atrocities against them. If there was ever a war against Russia, I would hope that these comments would be preserved, and you would be on a CSIS watch list for possible espionage. No So does Russia. America has big problems with neo-Nazis, and Canada had incidents that made international news (Somalia 1992-93), where soldiers were allowed to fly swastikas in their barracks. Yet, for some strange reason, you single out Ukraine for having one battalion that harbours neo-Nazi beliefs. Ironic, since many would consider you to have fascist beliefs. Funny, Putin has done all that and worse. He also invaded Ukraine, causing this war. You sure showed us that you are not a Putin stooge. No, like most Canadian, I like democracy. I also notice, that the more you type, the more you reveal your true feelings toward the Russia-Ukraine war. Is it any wonder that people are starting to refer to you as "WestKremlinMan?" Bullies admire other bullies.

I highlighted all the material in which you vindicate my position. More gaslighting. You ahve essentially replaced the word "Republican" with "Democrat" and "Trump with "Biden." You are an extreme minority among Canadians. In spite of what you think. Do you have an account at stormfront.org, by any chance?

Nope. Canadians are intelligent enough to fear another Trump presidency will be bad for Canada-US relations. It's funny that autocratic, communist, and fascist supporters will always try to discredit the media right away. The free press is an integral part of democracy, but Trump has done everything humanly possible to undermine, and demonize the press, a tactic we have all seen in Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia. Then again, you and your MAGA squad are in love with Putin, an actual dictator, who jails and even has murdered prominent media figures that he dislikes, so I can see why you want to defund the CBC, and make Fox and Rebel news the only news source that Canadians are allowed to watch or read.

When I lived in Alberta, it was mainly rural areas and small cities that were sympathetic to trump. It was almost non-existent in the Edmonton area, and a small minority of people in Calgary. Yes, I've checked the polls: State of the Nations: Canadians fear for the impacts of another Trump term as U.S. Election 2024 looms January 15, 2024 – The 2024 American Presidential election looks starkly familiar to the 2020 edition, as it is expected that Joe Biden and Donald Trump will represent the Democratic and Republican Parties respectively. For Canadians, a repeat outcome from 2020 would be welcome, while a Trump victory has many predicting dire consequences for both sides of the 49th parallel. New data from the non-profit Angus Reid Institute finds two-thirds of Canadians concerned American democracy will not be able to survive another four years of Trump at the helm. Trump himself has publicly mused about his plans for “retribution” if he wins again, after being impeached twice in his first four years and continuing to claim that the last election was “rigged” against him. In this report – the first in a three-part series looking at the state of democracy in Canada and the United States – half of Canadians say they worry that their southern neighbour could be on the way to becoming an authoritarian state, something recent studies have suggested as a growing global trend. In terms of domestic impacts, Canadians are three times as likely to say that a Biden victory would be better for the Canadian economy (53%) than a Trump win (18%). A significant number (29%) aren’t convinced it would matter either way for Canada. The same trends are true when considering each outcome and the impact on Canada’s defense agreements with the U.S., global peace and security, and the overall Canada-U.S. relationship, with most saying Biden would be better for Canada, and the rest divided between indifference or a preference for Trump. As observers cast their gaze toward November and the electoral contest to come, Canadians join many Americans in worrying about election security. Just 12 per cent of Canadians say they have full confidence that elections will be safe and secure, while twice as many (23%) say they have no confidence at all. Another two-in-five have doubts (38%), with 27 per cent also saying they’re more confident than not. Among those who lack confidence, half (49%) say both Republican and Democratic states are a source of concern, while the rest are twice as likely to say they’re primarily worried about Red States (34%) rather than Blue ones (17%). source; https://angusreid.org/us-canada-democracy-authoritarianism-trump-biden-2024-presidential-election/

Why should I show you any respect, when you try to hurl insults on a US military man, with 24 years service? If you did indeed serve in the military, it's no wonder why other countries are laughing at our armed forces. I can say for sure that I have absolutely no respect for you, and if you did indeed are a veteran, and saw many countries, it makes it that much more inexplicable why you have the horrible opinions that you do.
-
i certainly know more than you. I also know enough about the forum to say that the most decorated man in the history of the US military could choose to represent the Democrats, and be torn to shreds. Just a note to all the fine people lurking. Most of these MAGA a-holes that unfortunately happen to be Canadian are a vocal minority, and do not represent Canada, or the Canadian people.

I will be the first to admit I can be pretty abrasive. Having said that, I ahve never, in all my years, met so many turncoats, who seem more interested in cheering on horrible people like Putin and Trump, which is at complete odds with the Canadian public. Note to the MAGA squad: TWITTER IS NOT REAL LIFE. They did a mock poll in Canada less than a month before the 2020 US Election, and found the results to be 84-16 for Biden. In fact, nearly every country in Western and Central Europe hates trump. The other thing I find incredibly amusing, is the fact that the people in question usually have "Canadian" of some abbreviation of the word in their username. Even "Nationalist." These people would sell their own community out to the Russians. If only we could turn back the clock to 1995, and regulate the internet, so people on social media, internet forums, etc. had to use their true identity. It would be interesting to see who is behind some of these handles.

Rasmussen. The only poll that shows Trump in the lead now. All other polls have Harris leading. -

Then it's time for aonther song: 'I can feel it floating away Inch by inch, day by day Love boat set itself free Castaway, slipping out to sea I can feel it coming adrift Even a blind man could see the rift From an ocean liner to a Chinese Junk There ain't been a ship that can't be sunk I used to dream it could last forever But pipedreams never come true I'd be foolin' myself if I never Thought something like this Couldn't happen to you I said baby you've got a man on your mind You got a weight on your shoulders How you ever gonna find the words to say goodbye You don't know just what you got till it's gone I guess you heard that a lot but it's true It's not just a game You can't change your life By changing your name It's not something you can hide away Sooner or later it starts to show It's written on your face You've been betrayed Do you really believe that I don't know I said baby you've got a man on your mind You got a weight on your shoulders How you ever gonna find the words to say goodbye It's already fallen So it's no use to fight And if he starts callin' Let him know you're with me For the rest of the night Ooh I said baby you've got a man on your mind You got a weight on your shoulders How you ever gonna find the words to say goodbye Baby you've got a man on your mind You got a weight on your shoulders How you ever gonna find the words to say goodbye' -
Polls show Kamala Harris building lead over Trump in 2024 election Democratic party’s presumptive nominee 2.1 points over Trump in FiveThirtyEight’s national average Kamala Harris continues to gain strength in the US presidential election, as polls nationally and in battleground states show her building leads or catching Donald Trump. On Friday morning, FiveThirtyEight, a leading polling analysis site, puts Harris, the Democratic party’s presumptive nominee for president, up by 2.1 points over her Republican rival in its national average. In averages for swing states, where control of the White House rests, Harris led in Michigan by two points, Pennsylvania by 1.1 point and Wisconsin by 1.8 points. Trump led in Arizona by less than half a point and in Georgia by half a point. The US vice-president, 59, has changed the election race since mid-July, when Joe Biden, 81, finally heeded calls from his own party to step aside for a younger candidate to take on Trump, who is 78. He endorsed Harris to take over the top of the Democratic ticket for this November, while he serves out his single term. On Thursday night, Amy Walter, of the non-partisan Cook Political Report, told PBS that before Harris entered the race, Biden “was behind by a significant number, not just at the national popular vote, but in those … battleground states. You can see almost six points in a state like Georgia and Nevada.
