  1. Yes I do, that was a sarcastic smile.. you really are slow aren't you. The short bus just added one more.
  2. Yes, but that would be a huge step. Think of what that would mean.
  3. Thank you CPCFTW, finally someone that knows what he is talking about.
  4. I never said the act of dying is what makes a species stronger. I Said. There is a reason in nature that the weak dying improves the overall strength of the species over time.
  5. Did you take the short bus too school?
  6. ????? try reading what I said again Or maybe I'll re-phrase it differently for you. Without a future society (world) in which to exist.....What is the point of talking about an economy (money)????? It's like talking about how your going to spend all your money after you die. I've tried making this as simple as possible and used as many small words as I can. I think discussing this subject with you might actually lower my IQ. Does your daddy know you are using his computer little guy?
  7. I have stated my counter argument, without a world, money is of no use. I have stated what side of the debate that I stand on. But you won't admit yours. If you are not a climate change denier then admit that man made climate change is a problem. I feel like I'm talking to a delusional alcoholic trying to get him to admit his problem and to go to AA.
  8. TimG just admit your are a climate change denier. No judgments here. I won't try to convert you.
  9. Yes.. I didn't think you lived here too? Welcome to reason land. Now if you could just admit that this is a problem you will be half way there. It's the first step.
  10. TimG obviously you aren't understanding me. 1) you are a climate denier so you think this subject is just a waste of time and money. Why don't you just say that and we can agree to disagree. You keep using economical reasons to proof that I am wrong and on the wrong path. In other words you want me to drink your cool aid. 2) I believe all the scientific research, and believe that I personally am experiencing climate change right now. I care about humanity and don't want to see the changes that are coming (fact). I don't think economy comes into this issue at all. Like I said money, and the economy will not be an issue in a future when everyone is struggling to exist period. We live in two different worlds. My reality is where reason and ethics rule.
  11. I'm sorry I would like to respond, but can make no sense of what you are babbling about.
  12. Vigilante justice is when citizens take the law into their own hands. Mostly because they have no confidence in the law or the legal system, which I don't agree with. What I do appreciate is putting up these video's and pictures in the public domain in order to embarrass these people and and inflict public ridicule, not to mention help the police to convict.
  13. I think you should read some of the comments before you comment. No one is talking about Nazi Eugenics or the extermination of "undesired" population groups. As far as altering the human race that is what is happening now. That is my question. is it right? I don't know if anyone has seen this movie but I found it very funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXRjmyJFzrU&feature=related
  14. Maybe it points to the fact that since the discovery and use of fossil fuels as a energy source people have become spoiled. As shown all through history people are selfish, and only think of them selves. This resource could have been used for generations upon generations in a responsible manner. I really can't think of one generation that thought of the next generation.
  15. Of course all of these things are violation of rights, thanks for pointing this out...my bad . A temporary state of poo poo brain. And yes YouTube was used as a tool for justice, even if it was used in vigilante justice.
  16. I agree that humans are very adaptive and through tools (like glasses) can overcome genetic weaknesses. But whether we live in a world that doesn't see the fact that you use glasses as a weakness, the fact that you do use glasses to compensate for a real natural world genetic defect remains. This is then passed onto your children. And yes if a civilization collapsed occurred you would instantly see the results of humans over all weakness. People that are currently walking around only because of life saving medication like diabetics (I'm one) would die off. I hope to see a world when any genetic defect might be detected at birth and then cured. By the time you are ready to reproduce you won't pass on your genetic defect to your children. But this is not part of my question. Imagine this is not an option and never will.
  17. The mechanisms of natural selection. There is a reason in nature that the weak dieing improves the overall strength of the species over time.
  18. A good debate on the subject on overpopulation.
  19. As a self described Left Libertarian I struggle with this. The Libertarian side of me agrees with you whole heartly. But as a person that believes overpopulation is the root of the problem I am conflicted by the solution. We could just wait for nature to solve the problem, Gaia theory. I'm not the hippy type.
  20. Wow , I agree with you for once. Chretien does have his share of the blame, and yes I am a Harper Hater. Sometime I do pick on one side more than the other.
  21. Thanks for the Info. Maybe better insulated homes could help. What do you think of adding this to building code requirements?
  22. You go to Scientists for facts, the facts are in. We cause global warming. We are in a shit load of trouble, not are grandchildren, but are children and possibly are generation. "Is it even technically feasible to reduce CO2 emissions given the technology we have today?" We have plenty of options to reduce CO2 emissions, just no political will or leadership (thanks Harper). Is the cost of reducing CO2 likely to be less the cost of doing nothing? What is the point of money if we are environmentally, and socially fucked. You are right the Scientists have done their job. The facts are in. It is now an engineering problem, I see allot of options that can be taken advantage of right now. But what I don't see is the world working together in order to engineer a solution. The UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen was a joke, and Harper embarrassed Canada. Our Prime minister is a Climate change denier. The reason we have gotten to this point is that people as a whole are selfish. They only think of them selves and not the next generation. Climate change has become a big issue now, not just because it's all over the news. But because we as a selfish people see that it might actually effect us and our generation.
  23. I knew the topic title would make some eye balls to bulge out. But before you think I'm some sort of weirdo Nazi, thoughtless freak hear me out. This is a two part question that are not really related directly. Question 1: I believe that almost every problem that the world faces is directly linked to overpopulation. Pollution, Over consumption of natural resources, Global warming, ect.. My question is as a global community do we have a responsibility to organize for some system of population control. Do you have a right to have as many children as you want, an example is the Duggar Family 19 kids and counting (freaks)? Question 2: This one might get me called heartless. I direct this question to the people that believe in evolution. My question is do you think that helping to cure genetic diseases is detrimental to the human race? Over time will this make us weaker as a species. I'm sure in the future that these genetic disease problems might be solved before reproduction. I'm not an expert on this subject, and I'm not a heartless bastard just curious.
