ok........ and that makes it alright? It wont change the fact that it is by birth (accidental birth to a certain family) who has more rights and freedoms compared to the rest of the public. I think Canadian values are everyone has equal rights and no one should have special privilages. The monarchy is a symbol of that, and we have one that is the head of our state.

People having a decision in electing heads of government is considered a democracy. I hope that clears up the definition of democracy to you. Its really not that hard to understand. 2. Its despotic rule of the 13 colonies is well established, the king or queen has enacted laws without consent or say from the public, has been brutal in terms of its crackdown, you need to review monarch history in britain. In canada today thats not the case, but im sure people in canada believe in full democratic principals, so its hyprocritical to defend the monarchy because its roots and alot of its history has been anything but democratic. Look up the meaning of monarchy and thats what the symbolism is today. 3. So i guess not electing your own head of state, not ever having a say in who that is, and nobody that is from another religion other than the church of england can be king or queen (it discriminates there as well) is more rational right? You may be right on him not being the nominee, but i rather find it annoying when people think your making this stuff up. Look at his record its all there, his record is almost as perfect as you can get in terms of following the constitution and standing up for freedom. The other candidates just cant touch him there.

If one calls my arguement of a monarchy in all its forms being undemocratic and a symbol of tyranny nonesense then yes i think you need to give your head a shake. I have come to expect this from people who haven't done their homework. All of this is on his record in congress, its not hard to view it. Whatever i stated is fact backed up by his votes in congress, and his statements in interviews. One can have a different opinion on foreign policy i guess, but his record there is amazing as well, voting against unconstitutional and unnecessary wars which have turned into a mess. Before commenting you might want to do some research, i might take you more serious next time.

Just remember Iran was a normal democracy before the U.S. got involved and overthrew the government for their own selfish reasons. This led to the Shaw who oppressed his citizens which led to more anger from Iranians and we saw the islamic law supporters come to power. They democraticly elected their leader, and the U.S. had no right to do what it did. Mind your own business and cease these covert operations.

He is basically as perfect as your gonna get in a politician. His ideas are sold including a non intervention foreign policy, the only candidate which has a plan to cut real money, a trillion dollars in his first year, the other candidates are proposing spending their way out, which is rediculous the debt is already at 15 trillion. The only candidate that follows the U.S. constitution( i think thats important afterall it is the supreme law of the land) His record in the congress is amazing, never voted for a tax increase in his career, never voted for a unbalanced budget, and never voted for a pay raise for himself. Most of these problems that are occuring he has predicted, so we need to take him seriously. The establishment doesn't like him because those people are the ones who are going to be losing out in terms of benefits, which is why the media so bias against him.

not a single shred of evidence that they are producing a nuclear weapon. This is war propoganda similar to Iraq in 2003. How exactly are they a threat to world peace? Iran's military is weak, they are not going to attack anyone which includes isreal which as hundreds of nuclear weapons and could easily obliterate Iran in a war. Iran may strike back in self defense if Isreal attacks, but in terms of aggression they will not attack anyone.

Of course Canada should be a republic (i.e get rid of the monarchy) the monarchy is a symbol of oppresion and undemocratic principals regardless if the queen has no power. This notion that it separated us from the U.S. and therefore we should keep it to be different is a stupid argument. The people will create the countries identity. I have high regard for the founders of America who did not adopt this despotism style which is still symbolizes. The system where one is privileged because of who is born to is rediculous, besides the only reason these people have the label queen and king beside them is because their ancestors looted and killed more people and their opponents, otherwise they are human beings just like you and me. You bitch about democratic principals and preach to the world that we are democratic and others should follow, make sure we are practicing full democratic principals first including mere symbols.
