Yes I already knew that. You tried to make it into a discussion about reasoning vr reason.
The same.

Probably because there's little to nothing worth sharing - just a bunch of illogically cobbled together beliefs.
Unlike your communist manifesto?

Please explain Canadian reasoning as opposed to Canadian beliefs.
Semantics in a leftist circle jerk.
5 hours ago, eyeball said:We were comparing the words reasoning and belief not reasoning and reason but now you've changed the goalposts. How typical. Did you even check to see if your dictionary deals with these two words separately before implying there is no difference? You should've, but too late now I guess.
Quibbling is the appropriate word to describe what you're doing with semantics. Perhaps its context that escapes you.
You mentioned something about Canadian values before you started quibbling over the plain english I was using.
Perhaps the reason we don't see semantic quibbling on this index of Canadian values is that it's a conservative value.
No, we were discussing reasoning versus beliefs.
Semantics is what you are arguing, and poorly.
Goalposts firmly planted. Same as context.
And of course Canadian values are conservative. Clearly the middle and the left do not share them.

Perhaps you''d like to propose a different dictionary and thesaurus.
Did you carefully consider the meaning of the word semantics before you chose to use it like you knew what you were talking about?
Sure. Mirriam-Webster is well respected.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/thesaurus/Reason
I know what semantics means and is the appropriate word.

Where do you live, China?
I live in southwestern Ontario and I never see surgical masks.
The others not weekly....multiple times daily.

No we usually pass laws imposing Canadian reasoning - something logical and sensible in other words. Beliefs normally fall way short of this.
Read Bill 62.

This is the irony. People argue of Muslims become the majority they will pass laws imposing their beliefs on others. Maybe those of us who fear that should understand we do it too maybe intentionally, may be unintentionally.
We pass laws imposing Canadian beliefs on Canadians, no?
I guess if we allow as much immigration as Liberals want Muslims will become the majority, then they will pass laws based on their beliefs, because that will have been the Canada we voted for and allowed.
I'm sure you won't find that happening in Muslim countries however.

The idea of someone admitting they're wrong is alien to you, but that is exactly what I did just there. Now the argument can proceed based on improved clarity.
There you go with that snotty superior tone you use on many here.
If I misconstrued, sorry.

I know you're being facetious but there clearly is a difference.

What don't you understand about the oppression of dictating what women can wear, whether you are her husband or her government.
Government is saying something totally different.
If you think this equates to the same thing you are wrong.

So we'll soon see laws banning turbans and yarmulkes, right? Not to mention those oitfits worn by Mennonites and Nuns. What about Buddhists monks in their robes - should not that be outlawed in public in the interests of secularism?
What don't you understand about the repression of women these articles signify?
Does a yarmulke repress a Jewish man?
Clearly not.

It took Quebecers a very long time to get out from under the thumb of the Catholic Church and religion is not an element they want to contend with in their modern politics.
See Bill 62. They dont really want it in everyday life let alone politics.

Andrew Scheer sure had to disavow his religious beliefs would impact his politics.
Rightly so.

I definitely don't think they should stop, but then again anybody who doesn't see this ridiculous presidency for what it is isn't going to have their mind changed, even by the overwhelming ridicule and scorn that it deserves.
Which is an ironic thing for someone who supports Trudeau to say.

While I agree the big man in Pyongyang just now isn't the most stable leader one could hope for, but also one has to look who the big man in Washington is just now. Even his own Sec. of State calls him a moron. To some extent I buy the idea that Kim could feel a little threatened so perhaps if the US stopped cruising their warships up and down NK's beaches, and Trump would stop engaging in his "fire and fury" rhetoric, those tensions might ease a little. Luckily there are guys like Tillerson and Kelly who can maneuver around Trump negotiate sensibly. And not just on NK but Iran as well.

He instructed him to leave if a player kneeled. The odds of that happening was high. It's a stunt. They never planned on staying. And going to game between two crappy team on the taxpayer dime is a waste regardless.
As for JT, you wouldn't be happy. If you were a fiscal conservative in the US, you shouldn't be happy about this.
Leaves game in disgust....stunt.
Kneels opposing country on tv...notit a stunt.
Alrighty then.

It's interesting how people who are constantly complaining about 'non-whites' and how they are ruining 'white/western society' accuse those who do preach and practice acceptance, inclusiveness and equality for everyone of 'self-loathing'. I only see loathing coming from one 'white' group, and it isn't the progressives.
There's a whole plethora of white hating on white that are progressive.
Is this what you mean by preaching acceptance and diversity? Vote my way or you're a racist. Btw, Ninesh has a video claiming if he loses its because society is going backwards.....not because he is a terrible mayor

While the vice president portrayed his decision as a gesture of patriotic principle, it had the distinct appearance of a well-planned, if costly, political stunt. He doubled back from a trip to the West Coast to take a seat in the stands in Indianapolis, where the 49ers — the team most associated with the N.F.L. protest movement against racial injustice — were suiting up to play the Colts.
How many more would you like?
How about one?
