  1. Check that; he Attorney General of Ontario said there was no clear unconstitutionally of the bill. Remember these were the same people that said the last prostitution laws were constitutional.
  2. I've been thinking about this for a while. Potential argues can be advanced about Canada's prostitution provisions regarding the mandatory minimum for the purchase of sexual services are unconstitutional, because sex work is not inherently exploitive. Is my analysis wrong?
  3. The Conservatives will never legalize it. Vote Liberals or New Democrats if you want change.
  4. Parliament needs to get their act together and tackle this issue. I wonder if they want to eradicate marijuana like they do with prostitution.
  5. It's already so easy to get. I would licence it, tax it and regulate it.
  6. Looks like the Conservatives will ignore the mandate from the Supreme Court.
  7. It could be legal why are we getting on people's liberties?
  8. Looks like the Liberals are going to have a special committee in the process of drafting new legislation.
  9. Anyone know when the 2015 Canadian Election Debate is?
  10. Maybe the Liberals think it's a good move to take her?
  11. Anyone think the Conservatives will pick this up before the Federal Election?
  12. The Supreme Court has given the government the opportunity to draft meaningful legislation. I hope Conservatives show leadership.
  13. New anti terror legislation.
  14. I have a question. Does anyone know when the federal elections debate is?
  15. I'm confused so are you for or against assisted suicide if someone was depressed and wanted to end their life?
  16. What if someone wanted to end their life because they were depressed?
  17. The Supreme Court of Canada is looking at the constitution of Canada's assisted suicide law and will soon give out it's decision. I'm just wondering what you guys think the court will say? Will they say that it's a legal right to die with dignity in Canada or will the old law stand? If the law is found unconstitutional will it be similar to the Bedford Decision where the old prostitution law was found unconstitutional and parliament has a year to draft new law or lose the old law? It's possible the our assisted suicide law is found unconstitutional no party will want to touch it and we lose the old law and by default assisted suicide who be legal in Canada.
  18. Is it bad if I laughed?
  19. Ops I meant to say more attacks.
  20. Your post only mentions what you think won't be a topic of discussion for the federal election. So you would agree that assisted suicide, marijuana, prostitution, taxes, terriorism and XL pipeline will be topics of discussion for the federal election?
  21. With the federal election less than a year away I'm curious what are your thoughts as what topics will be a big political issue. Possible topics: Assisted Suicide Abortion Climate Change Foreign Trade Workers Gun Control Health Care Marijuana Prostitution Taxes(i.e income splitting) Terrorism XL Pipline I know I might have missed some. Anyways I've curious to know what you think the big issues will be in the next election. I will make my list. 1. Taxes(very important) 2. Marijuana (new topic I think a lot of people will talk about his) 3. Health Care (very important, but people take about this all the time) 4. Terrorism (people will be afraid of my attacks) 5. Gun Control (a lot of crime this year) 6. XL pipeline 7. Climate Change 8. Prostitution(how does the new law protect sex workers?) 9. Assisted Suicide (I think the SCC will strike down the laws like they did for prostitution) 10. Foreign Trade Worker 11. Abortion (Justin Trudeau is pushing for this) It's only a list I could be wrong what do you think of the list? I would also like to see other people make their list.
  22. Quebecers will vote for TJ the NDP will have no chance at forming the government.
  23. Prostitution and Marijuana should be legalized and taxed. Some people need to realize that it happens so legalize and keep people safe. Making it illegal will not make it go away.
  24. Is this in any way related to ISIS?
  25. Personally I think this Bill shouldn't become law. It's the same old law with new language I don't see how this will protect sex workers. The problem isn't with the indoor sex trade, it's the street trade that's the problem and the police have already said 80% of the trade happened indoors. Though this new Bill might decrease the OVERALL size of the of the sex trade overall being the indoor/street trade it will increase the street trade because this is about money and the sex workers will follow the men(Johns). I predict that they will be a huge decrease in the sex trade by a lot ie. massage parlors, escorts agencies, the high end call girl. Though there will be a small increase in the street trade. Ask your self this can you tolerate a men paying 200-300 dollars per hour for sexual services as long as it is consensual sex? Sure you might think it's degrading that's how the Conservatives view, but can you tolerate it? IT HAPPENS can you tolerate it? The problem isn't with the indoor sex trade it's the street and this will increase the street trade. The one's in the street will face the worse violence.
