Yeah - i'm SURE we'll hear all those who suggested that not allowing children to watch oorn was evil now immediately condemn the libs and dips for this with even greater fervor.  C'mon Guys - lets hear that Fervor!!

(Will you crickets PLEASE shut up, i can't hear the fervor over your racket!!!)

Now now, we can be more discerning than that. Hatred towards trannies and the differently-gendered, not ok. Hatred towards white colonialists and the jews- ok! Ok!

You can take solar panels and/or wind turbines with you to charge your EV.

That would be grossly innefficient as well. If I recall the total amount of energy in sunlight is about 1 kilowatt per square meter, and most of that is HEAT, not LIGHT.

But hey, I'm sure you propeller-heads will figure it all out some day.

Me, I'ma gonna sit back and chillax. All our problems will be solved, once they invent transporter beams.  🤙

Wireless embedded charging uses magnetic induction to charge the batteries through a coil in the vehicle, while driving over coils embedded in the highway. It's just like a transformer uses magnetism to transfer the power from one coil to another.

It's grossly inefficient, not like a transformer which has a solid core. With this the magnetic coupling is through air. Although, what I read said they haven't settled on the final design yet. The other designs use a rail like a streetcar, or have a metal bar connecting the vehicle to the power line.

For the air core they would need to increase the frequency.

Sounds bad for your health, might cook the gunads

We're heading for more Internet control if Pierre Poilievre obtains majority apparently. It's super incoherent with his whole ideology of small government and limited intervention in people's lives. His whole shtick of protecting the children is also unconvincing.

VPN sales are going to skyrocket in Canada.

    https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/conservative-government-would-require-id-to-watch-porn-poilievre-1.6777435

The headline in the link actually says:

"Conservative government would require websites to verify age to watch porn: Poilievre"

Verify age, not "require ID" as indicated in the html link. So the link, and title of thread are technically incorrect. Verifying age can be as basic as requiring a person to enter their date of birth on the site before entering. There are many, many websites in Canada required to do that by law now. You may know the ones I'm referring to.

Rather useless, as it can be easily circumvented. But there ya be. It's yer government in action.   🤷‍♂️

Yes, you should follow you own advice. Lemming.

There there. Don't be an angwy boy.

I suppose the truth is hard to accept when it takes you out of your safe space. No one wants to wake up to hear bad news, when they were all snuggly in their bed.

    But I can't help it.

"Specifically, the city claims the buses have fallen well short of Proterra's performance guarantees for Edmonton's climate that specified an operating range of 328 km at the beginning of battery life and 268 km in extreme cold."

Edmonton faces questions following $82-million electric bus failure

Now inhale slowly, and repeat after me dude:

    Guzfrava...

    You dont know shit.

If Donald had any evidence of election fraud big enough to of made a difference and viable enough to be substantiated in a court of law,  he would of already presented it.

Instead all yall keep pushing is suppositions, innuendo and gossip.

Are you saying you would vote for Joe Biden? Just wonderin

Yup. Even comic-boy wants this to end now. It's Brandon and his cronies now who want war.

Brandon always wanted the war. Brandon and his cronies made the war possible.

But hey, you people (not you) go after the carrot they dangle in front of your face.

There's a bad man! Look over there!

LOL - ok i have to ask,  why 'comic-boy'?

Am guessing, because Zelunksky was a comedian in his former life.

It seems the British did it

There is some evidence of this. We may never know, just as we don't know who blew up the undersea pipeline. But politically, strategically, it makes no sense to have him killed. There is no question that killing Navalny would make huge media headlines and would immediately become a black mark on Putin/ Russia's reputation, especially at this very time. Both within Russia and without. But as the video also states, it would be a major benefit for Putin's enemies if he were killed.

Doesn't mean I'm convinced but it makes more sense to me than Russia killing him. I wouldn't discount the theory. The level of intrigue and deceitfulness among the superpowers is so deep and so evil, it would break your heart to know what was really going on. That's why we may never know.

Now comic-boy is saying a negotiated peace deal is the only way out of this mess. What a shock.

Zelensky Calls for Peace, Not More Weapons

"In a speech in Switzerland, the Ukrainian president asked for more sanctions on Moscow, but he did not appeal for weaponry for new offenses."

Joe Biden: "Too bad. You're gettin em anyway. I told you, we're in this for as loooooonnngg as it takes."

    It's not at all absurd.

It is divisive and causing more hurt feelings, and not the road to understanding and tolerance. Those are things we all learned in our public school system in Canada, starting in the 1970's. That's why a lot of Canadians are against the wokester and BLM movement. We believe that to move beyond racism you have to be inclusive, towards ALL people. While I agree that systemic racism exists (but only per my definition of it, systemic as 'whole body', not as 'the system'), I disagree that the concept of white exclusion, or anyone's exclusion, leads to a better more civil society down the road.

The recent change in tone about racism and gay acceptance comes primarily out of the United States, where social problems are more severe. There are still areas where racism and white supremacy are openly accepted, like in your south. I've seen it first hand when I was in Atlanta.

Our problem is a tendency to copy things we see in US media, as though they exist here at the same level. They do not. And so we're actually undoing some of the progress we've made by copying US attitudes and culture war.

A certain anti-Americanism is healthy and good for Canada.

  11. My vision of the future is that this will go too far, it already has but the public will turn against it. A victory for rationality occurred in a small town in Alberta, where the townspeople voted to have rainbow walks and flags removed, as they put it, in the interest of neutrality in public spaces.

    https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/alberta-town-bans-pride-flags/wcm/9949d130-0fbc-4d9c-b925-f8b4eabfd5a9/amp/

That doesn't mean they don't accept people who identify by any specific number of vowels and consonants. Fill your boots, as we Canadians say. With what, is up to you.

Of topic I know. But hey, yes, Joe Biden's really really white.   ;)

There's a school of "thought" that says Black Americans will be better off if we pretend systemic challenges don't exist, and try to convince them that what they experience isn't real--essentially gaslighting Black America. But that's not really how problems are solved. Problems must be acknowledged, discussed and proactively addressed.

There is no question in my mind that systemic racism is real and everywhere, but my definition of it is not the same as yours. Neither do I think the solution being put forward going to work. It may do the opposite. We now have black-only theatre events, for example-

National Arts Centre event just for Black-identifying patrons

One white man complained, he could not attend with his black wife. Utterly absurd.
