I really wonder sometimes with the attitudes on this board. I'm assuming I know the way the results will unfold already with this. Nonetheless I think it'd be interesting to see. Please choose honestly (I know the Natural Law party is is all fine and dandy but...).

Ever wonder why this board is here? Or really the entire site. I've read the 'about us' statement, but who funds this? Is it part of UL's budget? I guess Greg's a student, but is there anything usefull to the students or staff of the political science(?) department derived from this forum? I hope they don't take the thoughts projected on this site as that of the 'typical' Canadian. If it was typical, the CA would be overwhelming all opposition. Interesting to see from this poll the conservative slant to the members (I mean it was obvious before but the #'s don't lie). It'll be really neat to see all the ranting and raving going on after the next election with the CA somehow still as runner up. :P

Yes greg just finished a mid term on how 60% of Canadians are going to vote for the CPC.

Maybe not 60 %, but at least 34-38% at the end of the day.

It won't take longvto expose Martin for the fraud he is and the bill of godds he is trying to sell.

All he did through the leadership campaign was utter bromides about how things would be different, usually through spokesmen like Nick Discepola and Stan Keyes, even prompting Stephen harper to publicly question whether there actually was a Paul Martin.

He will probably try to do exactly the same thing in the run up to the election... look at what he did yesterday! a visit to DND, and nothing but sweeping, non-specific promises that things will change for the better, but absolutely no commitments as to how much money, and what new equipment!

The novelty of Paul Elliot Chretien will wear off quickly, and more so once the CP's leadership race kicks into gear.

The election will be much closer than everyone thinks.

Paul Martin will unveil a platform for the next election that will be so damned powerful and promising that Harper and Co. will be hard pressed to put in a word edgewise.

Just you wait and see.

The only chance for the Conservative Party is to dig up a new leader, one from the outside of their little cocoon.

You were saying , Galahad?

As for Martin, he's as stale as 3000 year old mummified bread.

He's had 10 years to show us what he can do. all he did was follow the Wilson/Mazankowski blueprint.

A blueprint which set Canada on some solid economic foundations, but now needs to be to refitted for the times.

Don't expect that gang of red fools to have anything positive to add.

It's a brand new ball game, now.

In defence of Paul Martin, I'm of the opinion that he HASN'T had 10 years to show us what he can do because, being a good soldier, he would never dare not to toe the boss' line.

Now that HE is the boss, he can do as he pleases. So who knows what that will be? He could be a regular Atilla the Hun for all we know. B)
