geoffrey Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 Sure they do, right on the front page: From time to time however, a citizen may feel unjustly treated by the police. When a complaint alleging police misconduct does occur, procedures established under The Law Enforcement Review Act (LERA) are followed to register, investigate and to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to proceed to a public hearing concerning the complaint. At a public hearing, if a complaint is substantiated, an officer faces disciplinary action ranging from a reprimand to dismissal from the force.
