I can't believe Steve is giving money to Toronto (ew, yuck!) to help build public transit (commie trains!).

What's next for Pink Steve I wonder? Springing Iranian queue jumpers from incarceration in democratic America? Reprocessing of $1200 tax money per child every year just to put the government's face on it?

Oh... wait.

You should ask Greg for a comedy forum........

Like spending cuts and Paul MArtin Liberals, spending initiatives aren't necessarily the great big boogie man that all fiscal conservatives fear.....

And spending cuts are neither a good or a bad thing.....it is how they are done that matters.....It's one thing to cut waste and another to cut back valuable programmes.....it's one thing to spend foolishly and quite another to fund infrastructure development.

RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS

If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us

In the Jan 2006 election, the Conservatives campaigned on being better than the Liberals. This coming election, they're going to campaign on being just like the Liberals.

Giving money for mass transit is better than building a huge bureaucracy to manage child care.

  • Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone."
  • Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds.
  • Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location?
  • The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

that is an impossible mission. Not even the Liberals know who they are or what they stand for.

Those centrist voters who held their noses and voted Liberal in 1997, 2000 and 2004 will do the same and vote Conservative because of Stéphane Dion. Likely enough to give the Conservatives a majority.

There is little doubt that the incumbant has an advantage in the undecided. A majority? That's pushing it.
