Topaz Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 Why I say that is after reading "North America Union" and what Martin, Bush and Fox have signed and Harper is carrying on with the agenda, the separatist and the federalist won't be under a Canadian government anyway! I think they would be in more of shock than the rest of us. The separatist trying to separate from Canada only to be told Canada, US and Mexico is now called North America and you are North Americans!! I think everyone should read that piece on this forum and if this happening them the rich will get richer and the poor and middle-income will try to survive! This why the wheat board is being rid of, that why Emerson cross the floor to continue on with the NAU agenda, our military will be under the command of the US. Read people. Quote

jbg Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 I don't think fusing the nations is a good idea or even likely. I do believe that security matters are better handled on a Continent-wide basis. One of the reasons North America, as a whole, has been more prosperous than Europe is that we're isolated from the perpetually troubled areas of Asia and Africa, which share a land mass with Europe. It's far easier to "roll up the gangplank" of a Continent than a particular country. As far as Quebec goes, if it wants to separate without an allowance from Canada, fine.
