Could it be that that Warren & the boys in the Liberal war room have been busy?.... or is it the Orchardistas (aka luddites)....

In any case, If it is the handiwork of PROGRESSIVE conservatives then I think to refer to TRUE BLUE tories in connection with it would be something of a misnomer.

Let the red Tories rot with their Liberal brethren whom they help to keep in power.

BTW, the PROGRESSIVE conservative party did not exist in 1867. It was NOT actually the Party of Sir John A. The PC Party was born of a merger with another western-based party.

Furthermore, this new party can, just as easily as the PCs did, lay claim to the 137 year old heritage..... Or they can quit ruminating over in the past with Joe Clark and his ilk, and get on with moving the country forward.

I just want to clarify that the conservatives did not merge with the progressives but took the name to honor a leader that came from that party. Akin to if Preston Manning became leader of the PC's and reform died and the party decided to rename themselves the reform consevatives. Just wanting to make sure we remain true to the facts as liberals will pick this stuff apart. We have to be very careful so as not to rewirte history so suit our current needs. The new conservative party will become a reality because it is needed and Canadians demand it.

We also need to start talking about What we will do when we have power.
