Mikedavid00, my friend... and exactly what were the great Lebanese contributions to Canada? LOL

shwarma's and corner stores?

I said that Italians have helped build Canada and the US. They are far, far, far more important to building Canada than the lebanese. Everyone knows this. But 19 year old Lebs and Italians act very much alike a lot of the time.

Lebs have not built Canada that's for sure. Lebs are just Lebs thinking their all cool because their Lebs and speaking Arabic down to the 3rd generation because they think it's cool.

However recent Lebanese like those in Montreal are Muslim Lebanese which my family, nor many others does not even consider to be Lebanese people. (and they aren't actually. Islam in Lebanon come from an abundance of.. suprise suprise, refugees who began to take over the country via birth rate and now it's an Islam majority country).

Hello Everyone, I have to go back to the Adam De Prisco thing. He wasn't looking for trouble. Apparently someone has come forward saying that the same thing happened to them at the same club, except he didn't die. He was lured outside by the bouncers, got his ass kicked by the bouncers and cab driver, was taken somewhere and robbed. I don't know if everyone has been following up on the story but Adam's room was robbed while he was on his deathbed. Witnesses said they saw the bouncers and cab drivers beating him too. And some of his friends saw the girl in the club grab him. So I can almost guarantee you that he was not "looking for trouble". If we allow the Mexicans to handle this, there will never be justice. Even the Mexican doctors said that he was beaten, not hit by a car. So is Canada doing enough to handle this? No! And the reason is that we do too much trade with Mexico and Canada would hate to screw that up. Its all political. If a Canadian was killed in the Middle East (nothing against the Middle East, just a comparison), I'm sure Canada would step in immediately. What do you guys/girls think?

My thoughts are a few posts up. I'll say again what would you think if a Mexican was killed here on vacation, should there be Mexican authorities all over the place?

If Canadian police or the Canadian justice system tried to (without evident justification) pin a double murder on other visiting Mexicans to keep Mexican tourists coming to a "nice safe Canada", then I would say Mexican authorities should get very involved. Or if a Mexican tourist got beat up and killed in a Canadian parking lot and we covered up any evidence to that effect, instead saying it was an accident-hit and run, gee whiz anyways, we're so sorry but you know about drunken holidayers colliding with highway speed vehicles... so sorry. But, y'all come up here to nice safe Canada. Yep, if I were the Mexican's family I surely would want Mexican officials to jump in and get involved.

The point I was trying to make is that the Canadian police force is not corrupt like that and would do a thorough investigation into the matter, I believe a lot of Canadians would be thinking it's none of your business and we're handling it, as are the Mexicans with this right now. Only difference, their police force is a joke.

The sad part is what power do we have over a matter like this? We know that their force botched this investigation and the previous one. Will the killer and the accessories face justice? I don't think the RCMP can go down there and make arrests to the perpertrators and the police force that's covering it up. Canadian authorities can talk and talk all they want but in reality there is very little we can do and we're up to the benevolence of the Mexican government (i.e. we're screwed). Like I said before if this sort of thing is going to be happening to Canadians down there I believe it us up to the gov't to slam the Mexicans on the world stage, and then proceed on a horrific ad campaign about this hopefully resulting in slumping tourism revenue for mexico.

blueblood, I agree with you for the most part. Our RCMP can't do anything on their own but the Cdn. government could actually say something to the Mexican government and out in public. They didn't seem to have much trouble slamming China publically. Canadians should think twice before either going to Mexico or venturing too far from the beaten path whilst there. Money talks and without our money, they'd be hearing the message. I think.

The tories could use this to their political advantage, by slamming Mexico and sticking up for their countrymen they could get their approval rating up. Look at what Danny Williams did to Paul McCartney with the Seal Hunt.

This is just another spin off from the Arar quick buck scandal, I smell a lawsuit:

The family of a Toronto-area teen killed while on vacation in Mexico last week says Adam DePrisco’s body appeared to have more injuries when it arrived in Canada on Saturday than it did when they saw it in Mexico.

http://www.canada.com/topics/news/story.ht...02363fe&k=18275

The Toronto autopsy shows hit and run. End of story. But now they are claiming the body is more beat up now (two autopsies might have something to do with that).

I thought that he was brutally beaten to death. Now the damage is worse but the corner says even now it's not enough for a brutual beating to have taken place.

Sheesh. As soon as they figure they can't sue for one thing, fabricate something else.

There is no story here, just angry idiots frankly. The mother today said she no longer believes in Canada and doesn't want to be a Canadian, right there on the 6:00 news. Funny that she said it with an accent. Buh bye.

It looked suspicious when the family that was so vocal about this all over the news suddenly didn't want to release the autopsy report, must have been something they didn't like.

WHAT'S THIS???

I'M GOING TO CHECK THIS OUT!

Interesting developments... I think though that we should really wait for the autopsy results, there are too many things that don't make sense.

And why am I not surprised that you are going to "CHECK THIS OUT!" MikeDavid, more of the same I guess.

Also I watched your little YouTube link and I am not sure of the point? Did I miss something that was said? Looks like a bunch of teens goofing around on a Saturday night to me...
