Jerry J. Fortin Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 A new law in the United States makes health care insurance a matter for the consideration of the IRS. Citizens without healthcare insurance will be subject to added taxation from the Internal Revenue Service. Is there any other better reason for retaining public healthcare, than avoiding added taxation? Quote

People who don't have money for healthcare insurance are going to somehow miraculously come up with the money for this added tax? Sounds dumb. Quote

I'm all for public healthcare, but the only connection between having health insurance and federal taxes is those who have to pay for it out of pocket can claim it as a deduction. Here's a link to the newly-enacted tax law changes. There is nothing about added taxation for citizens without healthcare. Quote
