jbg Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 My fave Beethoven is the first movement of the 6th symphony....Pastorale..... Mine is the First Movement and Third Movement of of the Fourth Piano Concerto. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

Frankie Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 If anything, the Beatles are under rated. It seems like nobody nowadays appreciates them, unless your over 50.....I think the problem is, for most people at least, is the fact that they don't know the Beatles greatest treasures. They might know songs like, Yellow Submarine, Hey Jude, Yesterday, maybe Revolution...And I admit, those songs are a bit over rated. But songs like Glass Onion, While my Guitar Gently Weeps, Martha My Dear, It's All Too Much, are what truley define what the Beatles are. By the way, if you haven't heard any of those songs, either download them, or better yet, buy the albums. Amazing. Quote -Apple Scruff
Ladyjen Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 I love Dvorak's New World Symphony, Beethoven's 5th (used in Victory at Sea) and his 9th (Ode to Joy) all of Mozart's operas and everything else. Quote

Amazing. Not familiar with some of these Beatle songs but will download and give them a listen for sure. Quote
