Bushmustgo Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 U.S. provided germs to Iraq Joke is, "We know Saddam has WMD, we still have the receipts." Reagan gave aid to Saddam knowing that Iraq would use Chemical warfare What about those chemical weapons we supplied? Quote
Nuclear Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 We gave him weapons to use against Iran. Then it was US vs. USSR. Iraq was the lesser evil. Now he's plotting to turn those weapons against us.... Has anyone seen the Sum of All Fears? Quote
Bushmustgo Posted September 18, 2003 Author Report Posted September 18, 2003 The same weapons were used on the Kurds. If you recall, Bush made a big deal in push towards war against Iraq about the Chemical warfare on his own people; however, it was never an issue 15 years ago when his father, Bush, was Vice President...........the reason, because WE gave them those weapons.... Now 15 years later, we try to pursuade the American public by telling them of these atrocities.........15 years later, his father and Reagan could have done something then.... Quote
Derek Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Yes, i know Bush is awesome but i don't think him or Reagan thought he would use those to threaten us, or kill his own people with. How blind can you be to not see that. We did the same thing in 1946 when we gave Nuclear secrets to the USSR in hopes to improve relations between the two countries. So what, we didn't give him all the weapons he had 7 months ago. You just gave information making it sound like it was George Bush senior's idea for attacking Iraq's own people. Quote
Bushmustgo Posted September 19, 2003 Author Report Posted September 19, 2003 Well how come the right wing administration didn't do something 15 years ago when they did use the chemical weapons on their own people??? Right wing giving expensive technology out to these radical middle eastern countries and then paying big bucks to get rid of them, who would have known is not the point, it's about accountability and tax payers dollars. Mr Farrius Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 The U.S. has supported many of its present enemies in the past, many times. At max, the 3rd time it should have discovered its stupid mistakes, and it should've stopped giving support. But of course, with people like Bush in office, intelligence and advisors get ignored. Derek Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 A different time a different place, don't ask me why the SENATE kept the shipments going over to IRAQ. Quote
Whistler Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 “Politics makes strange bed fellows” Any way you perfume this, it stinks to high heaven. Saddam and the rise of the Baath party was nothing short of brutal. Anyone in their right mind would not have trusted these people with a squirt gun. It was a bone-head attempt to influence world politics and proof some form of UN must bet strengthened. Quote
Luigi71585 Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 America has made itself a history of setting themselves up for future problems. I.E. Setting up Castro which led to a dictatorship that we now ban. Also, more obviously the discussion of this forum: giving WMD to Iraq. Does anyone have a theory on this? Id like to get some input. nova_satori Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 other than anthrax cultures and a few base chemicals, I don't know what you're talking about. Quote
