Guest Warwick Green Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 We wish to register our disappointment over the distorted presentation of facts in order to sway public opinion toward an anti-Muslim, anti-Iran mindset. The media have chosen to report bigoted and preconceived ideas, invariably involving the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has no role in the current tragedy. Such bias neither upholds Canadian values nor serves the purpose of objective journalism. Sensationalism only fuels the fire and abets the Israeli regime in carrying out crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing of the Muslims of Lebanon and Palestine, besides destroying their economic infrastructures. It is regrettable that Canada and the Canadian media, which have supported international peace and security in the past, are favouring the Zionist regime in carrying out state terrorism and turning a blind eye toward the atrocities committed against the innocent civilians of Lebanon and Palestine. Canadians need to be presented with the true picture of the killings and devastation taking place in Lebanon and Palestine, so they can understand the mayhem the Israeli belligerence is causing. The Canadian media need to realize their responsibility. Instead of stoking fears, they must reflect the realities of the current Middle East situation. To dehumanize the other party undermines your credibility and makes this world less secure. jdobbin Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 You may have just proved Wawrick's post as valid. I don't think the Iranian government has anything truthful to say. If I heard that from someone else, I may have taken note but Iran deserves no such consideration. We should ride them every time we can over the murder of a Canadian citizen. Quote
