In fall 1976, Bourassa called an early election. (Trudeau had won in 1974, called him a hot-dog eater. It was after the Olympics.)

On 15 Nov 1976, Bourassa lost his seat in Mercier.

Later, late 1970s?, I first recall seeing Bourassa as a prof at Laval. (Off to Belgium. He had a rich wife.)

Then, 1985, he was back.

The next time I saw him was in the early 1990s, H-Q building, he was PM. Dark room. His receptionist was a remarkable woman.
