Hydraboss Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 "If a proven cure was available anywhere in the world, we would sell our house if we had to, if it meant he could live a relatively normal life./" So you admit that you would use private health care if it was needed. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that he is doing fine. What I don't understand is the mentality that since you don't need the services of private providers, it should not be allowed. But by your own submission, private would be fine if it benefitted someone you love. Hipocracy at it's finest. Renegade Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 He is actually getting very good care now and is exceeding beyond expectations. My husband and I spend a great deal of time on the net, looking for alternative treatments. If a proven cure was available anywhere in the world, we would sell our house if we had to, if it meant he could live a relatively normal life. Nocrap, my sincerest wishes to the continued progress of your grandson. Your wishes and your stated intentions, mirror what any caring person would want for a loved one, but what I don't understand is why you would want to preclude that option to everyone including yourself? If in your search you found that an alternative treatment was available in Canada, but was not provided by public healthcare, wouild you not want the ability to purchse it? I think you have already answered that. But what you have not anwered is how you can hold two opposite positions. Can it be you hold one position for your self and another for the public? margrace Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Didn't Margaret Thatcher promote the two tiered plan in Great Britian and today a large percentage of their young people are suffering because of insufficient care. Was on all the news shows this weekend. Quote
scribblet Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Didn't Margaret Thatcher promote the two tiered plan in Great Britian and today a large percentage of their young people are suffering because of insufficient care. Was on all the news shows this weekend. Britain has been suffering from socialism for a long time, thats a big part of their problems, and a union stranglehold. France has a good mix and is successful, it was rated Nol 1 some time ago, don't know where it stands now. Just curious, but would you pay for private care for a loved one if it would save their life? Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
Biblio Bibuli Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 My family did that for my sister when our system refused to treat her, because they 'couldn't figure out what was wrong'. For two years. Two weeks in the States and she's fine. Was that pretty recently?
