Guest eureka Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 If you were to be the one sitting in it, I would ask George Bush if he could provide a spare one from Texas! Preferably holding Harper's hand. Quote
Lost2 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 To me all politicians are the same. Self-centered, bought and paid for by corporations, unions and other big money groups and totally not interested in what happens to the electrate until the next election. All their promises are lies strictly for vote getting. The real facts come out once they are in parliament. The only MP that was different was Cadman. At least he asked his constituents what they wanted before voting. Quote
Hicksey Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 [chauvinism]That's because female Conservatives are where they belong....at home making dinner for their husbands and raising the children instead of ruining family life by pursuing a career.[/chauvinism] What bringeth out the feminazi in you? terrible sarcastic humour. It was a play on the stereotype of Conservatives being old-fashioned and "family-oriented". I figured ... but if you ever listen to Rush Limbaugh you'd know what I meant by Feminazi. The sarcasm of it screamed Feminazi. Quote "If in passing, you never encounter anything that offends you, you are not living in a free society." - Rt. Hon. Kim Campbell - βIn many respects, the government needs fewer rules, but rules that are consistently applied.β - Sheila Fraser, Former Auditor General.
