Michael Gaffney, Liberal candidate You see, Mike Gaffney used to be the President and CEO of Learnsoft Corporation, a company based in Kanata Ontario. In September 1999, a virtual university was founded in Fredericton, New Brunswick to grant “E-MBA’s.” The university was given $600,000 in taxpayers money - $375,000 from Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and $225,000 from Human Resources Development Canada. This private, for-profit university was and is a subsidiary of Learnsoft Corporation. Sometime later, Mike Gaffney sold his shares in Learnsoft for - you guessed it - $600,000. Dosnajh's Biggest Donors Run Medical Firms Ujjal Dosanjh received $16,000 in campaign donations from two Ontario families involved in health-service companies when he was seeking election to the House of Commons in 2004. Six weeks later, he was named health minister in Paul Martin's Liberal government.One of those companies advertises itself as being able to "fast track" care for injured people, providing a service to employers by returning their workers to the job more quickly than would the standard care offered by the public health system. An executive from the firm told The Tyee the chain of clinics has arrived at a way "to do business at a new level." Wow, has the CBC seen this one yet LOL CTV might actually report on it, but the CBC is a Liberal spin machine. shoop Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 CBC *might* carry it eventually. Granted they would give it far less coverage than CTV or Global, but such is life. Everybody knows the CBC is slanted, I just wish they wouldn't use taxpayer money in doing so. CTV might actually report on it, but the CBC is a Liberal spin machine. Quote
