August1991 Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Lauzon is a character. Professor at UQAM, he is well-known to the public and regularly presents personal audits of companies. He's also the same guy who attracted attention in Alberta recently: Qualifying the latest surge in gas prices as a robbery, a Montreal accounting professor called on the federal government yesterday to nationalize the oil industry."We have to repatriate this resource," said Leo-Paul Lauzon, who holds a chair in social economy at the Universite du Quebec a Montreal. "Oil companies are making immoral profits on the back of this society." Montreal GazetteLauzon is running in Outremont against Lapierre and the BQ's Jacques Leonard, a PQ cabinet minister. This is one of the more interesting races and I must admit, Layton deserves credit for getting Lauzon to run. Quote

I would never vote NDP, most likely not BQ, and I do not know who the Conservative candidate is. Lapierre is not the greatest man on Earth, but I have met him a few times and he seems decent...he also has a good sense of humour and is open to frank discussion.
