My current riding of Saanich/Islands BC currently has a Conservative MP. I would have to find out which party has the best chance of dethroning him and then vote accordingly.

I am one of the many "anyone but the Conservative" voters.

Hopefully it would be NDP or Green but if not I would bite my tongue { and probably forfet my soul} and vote Liberal. :(

Interesting party support here at MLW:

Bloc Probably [ 0 ]  [0.00%]

Bloc Definitely [ 1 ]  [3.13%]

Conservative Probably [ 2 ]  [6.25%]

Conservative Definitely [ 10 ]  [31.25%]

Liberal Probably [ 1 ]  [3.13%]

Liberal Definitely [ 6 ]  [18.75%]

New Democrat Probably [ 3 ]  [9.38%]

New Democrat Definitely [ 5 ]  [15.63%]

Other Probably [ 2 ]  [6.25%]

Other Definitely [ 0 ]  [0.00%]

Not Canadian Citizen [ 0 ]  [0.00%]

Refusing To Vote [ 2 ]  [6.25%]

None Of The Above [ 0 ]  [0.00%]

...It confirms my hunch that these kind of boards usually attrack the opposition party supporters more often than the government supporters.

Wonder what a poll like this at Freedominion might reveal.;)

I will vote Green Party. Why did you not include them in your poll? They are becoming a strong force in Canadian politics.
They said that before the last BC election. In the end, the provincial leader of the Green's did not even come close to winning her seat. There is no place for the Greens in Canadian politics as long as we have the first past the post system and a national NDP party.

To fly a plane, you need both a left wing and a right wing.

Personally, I feel gas is expensive enough. The last thing I want to do is pay another $1 or more per litre in taxes.

I'll vote for the party that supports some kind of electoral reform. That means the NDP. the current system is a sham and there's no sense trying to do anything else befor efixing the glaring lack of proper representation in this country.

Do they really support electoral reform???

In the two provinces where the NDP continue to enjoy long tenure as the governing party - Saskatchewan and Manitoba- have no initiatives to implement proportional representation. Proprep is not part of their official party platforms.

Curiously , in the seven New Democratic Party websites I checked- provincial and national alike- there was no reference to proprep in only two of the sevenIn the other five, proprep was prominently featured as part of NDP official policy.

Guess which two?

Sickening hypocrisy. They have an opportunity to make change, and choose not to because it will cost them seats. Some option.

The government should do something.
