Finally the New Democrats have broken through 20% in the latest national polls.

I wonder what has taken so long for Canadians to wake up to the reality that we now have three major parties in Canada vying to form the government.

Anyway there is no question now that the Layton New Democrats are on a roll, and the next election could end up bringing dramatically different election results than we have experienced before in federal elections.

Wow, the New Democrats are now within 6% of the Cons, in the latest federal polling, released today by Decima Research.

The Conservatives continue to slump in voter support despite daily allegations of Liberal sponsorship misdeeds, a new poll suggests.

Did the earth move or what here!

Great news for the conservatives. NDP and Liberals will split the vote in the cities and the Conservatives will take the ridings. That's exactly what happened in Saskatchewan in the last election.

To fly a plane, you need both a left wing and a right wing.

Dream on pal! <_<

Libs:36%

Cons: 27%

New Democrats: 21%[/b]

Now we have a horse race for second place . The Conservatives have gone due South with their anti-Canadian rhetoric. It is going to be very interesting from here on in.

That is only true if the NDP can take seats from the Conservatives in place that the Liberals have no chance of winning such as rural Saskatchewan, Manitoba and BC. If the NDP and the Liberals are fighting over southern Ontario then the Conservatives are the winner. You must remember the current electoral system is weighted in favour of the rural/conservative ridings.

I am not sure if we are ever going to see the Conservative elected as government again.

There is a fundamental shift that has been taking place in Canadian society for some time now. The cities now are primarily where all the action occurs, and once we get rid of all the gerrymandering, and the rural and urban seats hold identical populations, the fairness of these changes are going to kick in and it will be game over for Harper and those Conservative leaders that follow him.

That's great news for the ND's. Liberals at 36%+Conservatives at 27%+ND's at 21%=100%. Yup, definately a two way race for second place.

New Democrats are now within 5% of the Cons in Ontario according to Decima Research, a National Post polling company.

And you don't think Belinda's departure has hurt Harper - seriously, wake up and smell the flowers!

For sure Grewal & his wife's seats are up for grabs next time round - add 2 more for the New Democrats from BC.

I believe the Layton New Democrats are going to exceed their wildest expectations.
