The federal Liberal Party is about to be eliminated as a force in Canada and reduced to an Ontario party, with a few seats elsewhere. The Tories will be similar, with their base in the West. The NDP will of course maintian its historic irrelevance.

The Bloc will sweep Quebec. Soon after, Duceppe will take over the PQ, win an election and try very hard indeed to take Quebec out of Canada.

Is there a single person in federal politics, outside the Bloc, that the people of Quebec would listen to?

I can't think of any.

The government should do something.

The Conservatives will gain support in Ontario where they currently have 25 seats. The Conservatives also have a strong presence in Atlantic Canada.

The challenge will be to gain representation in Quebec.

The one issue the Conservatives may be able to grow some support around is federal transfer payments. They are the one party in a position to address the fiscal imbalance. This is a winning issue in Quebec and the Bloc will never be able to achieve change for the constituents.

The Conservatives still have a Senator from Quebec.

I am not suggesting that the Conservatives will have a major breakthrough in Quebec but they may be able to steal a seat or two around Montreal. The strong federalist ridings may just be angry enough at the liberals to vote for their only alternative.

And i like to mention something, the liberal organiser accused by brault have also been PLQ organiser... And something bad for the PQ, Brault gave money to the pq to keep a contract with the SAQ ( Alchool store owned by Quebec). Unfortunatly for them they lost there contract... but they have contributed to the party and its illegal for a company to contribute to a party in quebec.

Can't we start a new Party ?

Could it be called "Women Progressive Party", women are fair, transparent, and accountable for all their decisions. We could allow 20% of males for equity purposes.

Can anyone say "Martha Stewart"??? :D

How about "Leona Helmsley"??? :P

Sorry, RB. Having a bit of fun.

In all seriousness, I have no problem voting for women (and have done so a couple times in the past), but if you call it "The Women's Party", you'll probably alienate a lot of men as voters. (Unless, of course, you invite them to the party)

Im getting tired of voteing for nothing but crooks.

Me too. But unfortunately only politicians get into politics, and an honest politician is as easy to find as a Dodo bird.

That being said, I'm pretty pi$$ed at the Libs right now, too.

Oh well, at least I have the comfort of knowing I haven't voted for them since the mid-80's.

Even I expermited with Pot when i was a teenager i just never liked the stuff ,so have not touched it in over 20 years .

We could take some ideas from our left wingers and some from the rightwingers . We will just run as a corruption free party . and any body stealing or lieing or cheating will have to submit to a cain whipping before we get rid of them.
