jacee Posted April 11, 2016 Author Report Posted April 11, 2016 Jaycee, is this case related to the Island Nations planning on suing the fossil fuel companies as well? http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2015/06/10/3667580/south-pacific-climate-change-lawsuit/ Are they joining together? No they're separate. It's becoming a thing, and it looks doable. ? What Heede found was that although there are thousands of oil and gas companies throughout the world, the majority of emissions can be traced back to a handful of participants roughly two-thirds of industrial emissions come from just 90 entities, 50 of which were investor-owned companies. Courts may not be able to deal with 6 billion defendants, or 1 billion, but courts are very comfortable with 50, Muffett said, noting that the concept of joint and several liability was, in essence, created to deal with cases where several defendants contributed to harming the plaintiff. . WestCoastRunner Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 why go back 10 years... you've certainly put forward more recent links/study reference in regards this same 'Tuvalu atoll' concern - like here: . I used to have a newsletter that had members from Tuvalu and ever since then I have followed this small South Pacific Island and it breaks my heart what they are enduring. WestCoastRunner Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) And it is all BS. Gawd you are naive. You are a scam artist's dream mark. You have no idea what my newsletter was about. It had nothing to do with the environment. It had to do with competitive racing (running). It had to do with competitive racing (running). It "breaks your heart" that they are "enduring competitive racing"? Does not make sense. As I said, I provided a paper which like most scientific papers is behind a paywall. The abstract establishes that there is scientific basis for the claim that any erosion related problems in Tuvalu are entirely the fault of the people living there. The sea level is rising at about 2mm per year so 2cm of additional sea level is not going to make any difference in the real world. Quote
jacee Posted April 11, 2016 Author Report Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) "While global sea levels have risen about 2.75 inches (7 centimeters) over the past 22 years ..." http://m.livescience.com/51990-sea-level-rise-unknowns.html Hmm ... difference of opinion ... who am I to believe ...? Maybe NASA. And it is all BS. Gawd you are naive. You are a scam artist's dream mark.Don't blow a gasket. We'll see what the courts say. . Edited April 11, 2016 by jacee Quote

TimG Posted April 11, 2016 Report Posted April 11, 2016 We'll see what the courts say.Money waste fight scam artists in court is a tragedy no matter what the outcome. If the judge (often elected in the US) is a member of the CAGW religion the chances of a fair hearing is zitch. Quote
