Smallc Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 No, the problem is a Prime Minster who has cancelled one project after the NEB approved it with an end run(Gateway), How much progress was that dead project making? and has introduced two specific delays to a project well into the the mandated and suddenly changed approval process(Energy East). He didn't make them go back to square one - he could have. You're too angry for objectivity. He has also declared himself a 'referee', which is in ordinary English mean an impartial bystander , a clear signal he has no interest in that sector of the already weak Canadian export market. He is trying to obtain social license for the projects. Liberal insiders say there is a strategy here, and it's to get pipelines built. No, that is not accurate. Trudeau is 'doing the Liberal', saying one thing and dong the opposite while trying to be vague. Nothing vague aboyut his actions, and nothing vague about his intent. You're creating intent that doesn't exist. You seem to think the world ended on November 4th. You seem to be in a small and angry minority. Quote
Smallc Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 The meeting in Paris was a mass wank with 350 of Trudeaus closest friends, by far the largest delegation enjoying some nice food and a pleasant time while talk talk talking. Right. Suddenly Canada has credibility on the climate file. It certainly isn't because of Harper. Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 And what exactly does he have to offer them? More vacuous prattle about resourcefulness and diversity? And you probably meant the meetings in Davos, right? The meeting in Paris was a mass wank with 350 of Trudeaus closest friends, by far the largest delegation enjoying some nice food and a pleasant time while talk talk talking. I'm certainly not talking about Davos, where all that really happened was Harper tried to hide his attempt to set back the OAP, and not much else. Nope, Paris was much more interesting, and potentially rewarding. Quote
cybercoma Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 The Liberals are not going to stop pipelines. They're all about economic development at all costs, while giving the appearance of social consciousness. They'll have their consultations and dismiss any resistance to the pipes, just as Liberals do. Same with the TPP. They'll be pushing that through too, as soon as they can schmooze the public enough or get them to ignore it. And Bill C-51, you don't see them rushing to dismantle that, do you? Conservatives here are hilarious. The Liberals are working towards the same ends as the Conservatives were, but using more diplomatic means and for some reason those diplomatic means piss off the Conservative base. This is how politics are done. You don't just ram projects through. Instead of going in dry like Harper would, the Liberals are going to lube up these projects before bending the public over. Quote
Cl Le Posted March 20, 2016 Report Posted March 20, 2016 Trudeau is the liability . Would anyone hire a man with little to experience to run a fortune 500 company ? They why would you elect one to run a G8 country . What Canadians have seen over the first few months of Liberal rule is what they can expect for the next few years , ie delegation of 388 to Paris for climate talks ( what was the size of that carbon foot print and at what cost to tax payers ) , middle class tax break off by 1.2 billion , not revenue neutral as promised , time line for Syrian refugees altered multiple times with new excuses weekly , promised 3 consecutive 10 billion dollar deficits then a balanced budget year 4 but have delivered a first deficit of 30 - 40 billion and said no balanced budget year 4 . The Liberals will have spent more money in 4 years than the Conservatives did in almost ten years and they have not faced adversity ie market meltdown and Canadians better pray they don't , they can't handle what is in front of them now . Higher taxes and unemployment to follow , enjoy ! Quote
