This amount has always been within the statistical margin. That said, the fact that they have almost always been ahead points to this being a reality rather than just pointing to a tie. The NDP, from the last 5 - 6 polls done, is tied at best if not still slightly behind. Quote

If they're within the margin of error they are not ahead. Quote

If they're within the margin of error they are not ahead. If they're consistently in the lead (or nearly in this case) then they are ahead, even if it is technically within the margin. Quote
