maplesyrup Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 When BC Premier Gordon Campbell started selling flu vaccine to US citizens he said that Canadians in BC would not be deprived. I just heard on the radio tonite , 1130 AM all news station, that a Doctor Ableman in Coquitlam is not able to get flu vaccine for his patients. Has Campbell lied to us? What is going on? caesar Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Yes, he better start talking. My husband is high risk and has been waiting for a call from his doctor re his shots. I hear he is considering taking the tolls off the Coquihalla now. Do you think he is getting desperate to win next election. Quote
Newfie Canadian Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 That's an issue in every border province I would guess. This is a story about a possible shortage in NS, it may or may not be caused by US patients looking for the shot. http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/20.../flu041103.html I'm all for letting Americans come to get their shot if: 1) They pay for it, and 2) There are enough for Canadians. maplesyrup Posted November 4, 2004 Author Report Posted November 4, 2004 HEALTH There is going to be political fallot over this. Newfie Canadian Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 And if Canadians run out because governments allowed foreign residents to obtain the shots over Canadians, there should be serious fallout.
