Argus Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Is it true? The former CIA official (Pelletiere) revealed that immediately after the battle the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency investigated and produced a classified report that said it was Iranian gas that killed the Kurds. This kinda smells like those people who say the Holocaust didn't really happen, or was wildly exagerated, or that Hitler was a really nice guy who didn't know anything about it. So Pelletiere, a CIA section leader, was a holocaust denier? So Pelletiere wildly exaggerated? So Pelletiere thinks Hitler was a really nice guy? Is that what you're trying to say? Quote
WWWTT Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 http://rt.com/business/168384-us-businesses-russian-sanctions/ Right. Sure. A referendum on independance from Ukraine which does NOT offer up the option of staying in Ukraine. That sounds legit. Exactly. And evidence of ballot box stuffing and ballot boxes of clear plastic so if you did cast a valid vote anybody could see how you voted. Intimidation, vote rigging. Etc, etc, it's all there. But I'm also sure RT news will say it was all above board. You two guys just don't get it do you? It's over, Crimea and the Ukraine crisis couldn't be buried by the western media fast enough! If you want to keep crying about the "evil empire" doing evil things, it's going to get old real fast when good old corporate USA, whom pull all the strings in the US says it's over. WWWTT I sure hope you're right, and respect the fact that you usually are a lot more right than the US apologist screamers, but I know that the situation is being escalated right now by the Ukraine and that just begging for more US/nato involvement. disclaimer: I'm getting this from RT news and they could be lying. So Pelletiere thinks Hitler was a really nice guy? Is that what you're trying to say? No, I was referring to you acting as an apologist for Sadaam, in seizing upon a partial suspicion by a CIA analyst about one particular attack to excuse Sadaam Hussein, a man you continually defend. What Pelletiere actually suggested was that some of the deaths in _ONE_ particular instance may have come from the Iranians, because both sides used poison gas there. However, there is no doubt your hero used poison gas on the kurds in a number of other places. His alleged crimes if true, would never equal the crimes of the US against him and his people. I hope you understand that but if you don't then we'll discuss it further. Quote

Ya I'm sure there are many elements/figures in the Ukraine that still want the international attention to favour their position. Also seen something to do with the EU involvement with the Ukraine. But this story seems to be getting buried amongst many others and it is fading after the peak in the spring. Could be wrong, but it sounds like this story is history by this time 2015. monty16 Posted June 29, 2014 Author Report Posted June 29, 2014 On guard for thee, I follow the Western media as much as any of you and there's little doubt that the Ukraine has fallen back to third or fourth place in the current news. RT is keeping it right up there because it's a definite challenge to Russia by the US/nato. Always was for that purpose of course. Quote

And no, it's not a challenge to Russia, it's a challenge by Russia since they did the invading in direct contravention to a memoranda they are signatories to. And I can well imagine RT is keeping up with it. That's what government run propagandist rage do. Quote

Your problem is that your opinion is on the side of wrong and it's been there ever since it was proven that the US lied to get it's war against Iraq. I'm just wondering how any decent person could excuse that and continue to support the US. Sure, Canada is being blackmailed into complicity by the US but no decent Canadian has to be a part of it. Ah, which war are you referring to? There have been two most recently and both under very different circumstances. One was legal, one was not. One was sanctioned by the UN, one was not. It helps to get your facts together before you flap your gums. Quote

It strains credibility to even suggest otherwise. And there is lots of evidence now to show that the Gulf war was not on behalf of the evil monarchy of Kuwait. If you're up to debating it then let's do it! Were you involved in that slaughter? Could you bear to face the guilt that would lay on you? I'm not afraid in the least to accept my guilt as a Canadian citizen for our part in that phony US led war for oil. I do fear the eventual comeuppance we may get for it. So the best I can do is argue for not having anything to do with a repeat in the ME. It's a selfish regard for my fellow Canadians as well as a regard for my fellow human beings. Roasted women and children ruin my appetite. You? Quote

I guess what you think is being proven wrong again! I would say, that both of us understand all the real reasons for that war but I've become convinced now that you really don't understand any of it. And I'm now totally convinced that you're trying to make us think you're somebody who you aren't. If that wasn't true then you wouldn't be making so many mistakes in our conversations. Loyalty is one thing but shooting off your foot so often is another. It just doesn't pass muster anymore pal. No offence. Just that I'm not going to lower myself to that level of buffoonery anymore.
